- Turn off stability and traction control before you play off road. I can guarantee a lot of people that have complained about the 4th and 5th gen ram 1500s off road performance didn’t do this. I have also noticed this issue with Jeep owners. Thank you for watching and please subscribe!

If you support the above shop yes it does effect me personally so I do ultra appreciate it! I support this new shop because the owner has always done everything reasonably within his power to help me when I need it and he knows his stuff. He is my friend most of all, I support my friends deeply.

Wow. Wish I found this a year ago. Almost traded my ram in because the power reduction issue. Thank you
💪
Wow thanks. I got stuck today in deep snow ass-hatting today in my 2020 Limited...ended up going in 4 low and overheating the 4 wheel drive system trying to rock my way out (message said system overheat, 4 wd performance reduced).
It's like u said...I was just digging in deeper. Next time...I'll try turning off traction control. Great tip!
Thank you 🙏
You just learned me something! I usually just pull the abs fuse but this is a nice tip!!
Hell yeah! Pulling the fuse works fantastic as well 🤗
Just picked up a gently used 2021 Laramie Sport a couple months ago. (Love the truck)
Can't wait to try this out.
💪
I don't understand why they don't tell us these things! I still need to try it on my 2016 Ram 5.7k
Unfortunately it wasn’t added to the manual until the later years. Not in my 2015, but is in my 2021 manual. 100 percent difference when used properly.
Thanks for the tip. AIRBAG disable please as well 🙏
🤦🏻♂️thanks helped a lot
👍🤦♂️
Good info
Thank you!
Thank u 😊

Great channel, and thanks for all of the information sharing! Based on my *2022* RAM 1500 4WD, holding down the "traction control" switch disables the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system. It does this in 4WD-Auto and 4WD-High. I'm interested in the drivetrain/pitch/roll displayed on your dash from this video -- is that a standard option, or did you need modifications to enable that feature? Thanks!
Thank you 🙏 I was surprised the truck had the pitch and roll display. I believe the truck was ordered that way from the factory by the dealer. When I scan the truck using the alpha obd it says the truck is 3 different trims. It’s really odd.
I looked on my 2023 limited longhorn for that pitch stuff, can't find it. Thanks for that input on holding the switch down till the message pops up. I saw that on another channel as he demonstrated it in snow.
@@semlohde1 i was able to add the pitch/roll pages (and performance pages) using alpha obd. So long as you have the sensors it should work fine once enabled.
The Rebel and the Backcountry have the off road pages added to the dash menu. Regular 1500’s dont have this available at least to my knowledge.
Hot damn I miss the 2015 days I feel sad and left behind
She will be running again, plenty of life left in her 😁

Have you had any issues with the etorque system? Whats your opinion on its long term reliability?
So far I have only 20k miles on the truck but with zero issues. I beat the crap out of it.
How do we deactivate airbags pls! I’ve 23 ram warlock
Is that etroque
Yes sir, etorque.
Over 40 mph you get partial traction control
Yes, stability control fully engages after 40mph. Under 40mph the off road capabilities are phenomenal using this technique.
2019 5th Gen RAM 1500 5.7 Bighorn 4x4..................In 4 Wheel High, your not supposed to exceed 25mph. If you do, the computer will kick in and bring you back down in speed. Their simply not meant to exceed 25mph in 4x4 mode. If you want 4x4 on road, you'll need to get a SOLID AXLE up front, not independent suspension!
Wrong and that’s not what the book says. It’s also a 2021. My 2015 has the same 4wd setup basically and it went 12.005 @ 114.46mph lifted. I’ve never had a problem running 4wd at any speeds in both trucks. Here’s both trucks launching 4wd and running all the way through. ruclips.net/video/4_0nvs5CMCM/видео.html
@@HotDamnRacingTeam you obviously have the wrong book. Read the OWNERS MANUAL, exact quote from 2019 RAM 1500 4x4 manual ---> "DO NOT EXCEED 25MPH IN 4WD HIGH".............(rolls eyes)
@@JeffreyStrader
That would be 4WD LOW... 4WD High is recommended for up to 55 MPH.
Read the manual, or google it.
Not on my 2019 RAM 1500.........If I exceed 25mph in high, the computer kicks in and slows the truck down. I took it to the dealer thinking there was an issue. They said that 2019 RAM 1500 models are designed that way. (2500's are not though)....Even the owners manual tells you not to exceed 25mph in High gear 4 Wheel Drive. The Service Manager told me they have already had other RAM's in their shop with Transfer Case issues due to the customer running the truck at to high of a speed in 4WH.....I'm only doing what their suggesting, not to mention staying within what the warranty will cover. (stupidity is not covered)
@@JeffreyStrader
You should get that checked out because that's NOT how it should work. 4 LOW is 25mph. If it says 4 High, and limits you to 25, something wrong with your truck. Plenty of resources on the internet to confirm that 4 High is not limited to 25.
