- In todays episode of Idiot's Out Wrenching Around we are back in Kelly Land again. Kelly was very upset the first time he went to do a burnout in the black truck and traction control stopped his dreams. With vengeance coursing through his veins he decides to defeat BD (burnout dysfunction) once and for all. With the help from Gotti's Garage wiring loom and some fabrication to the dash Kelly is victorious and able to burn off his brand new mud tires.

I bought the harness from Gottis for my 2011. The harness does not connect to my abs where its supposed to.. so i will have to do some alterations and when i was inspecting the harness, the clip for the connector broke.. seems super brittle. Needless to say i am disappointed and he is not answering my emails, which makes things better. Sweet video though! Im envious!
New update. Finally got back to me. Harness he sent was not the right one and is sending me a new one.

The top was the worst place to cut a hole in your fuse box.

I would say if it has the same fuse for the traction control pull it while its running. If it does the same as my truck then it should work
Why don’t you just press the traction control button to turn it off? Why take the fuse out?
The envoy will never be done. Also I need this for the ecoboost stat
If you hold down the trac button for 10 seconds it will do the same thing for ford it will turn it off permanently
@@hooktv4651 it does turn off advancetrac but it still has some background traction control that limits burnout capabilities

Any way to delete the MDS? I know you can manually click into 8 then it'll go away but that gets annoying
I think some tuners can disable it but doesn't completely delete it. Kelly used the diablo sport tuner but can't remember if that did it. If you want it gone for good you most likely have to change cam and lifters and also use a tuner
i got a flashpaq and i disabled mds after my cam and lifters failed
I freaking hate traction control it can get you stuck in mud quick
Have you checked out the "Peddle Commander" ? I have one on my 2018 Ram Rebel, it gives outrageous throttle response! 🤘🤘

You can also just long press (more than 5sec) the traction control button to totally disable esp and traction control just FYI
Tried that and as soon as the wheels start to spin it re-engages everything, at least in our experience
On the rams you can only do that in 4WD it won’t turn it off in 2WD

Yes there are on all rams I am making a switch for myn right now not hard at all
There should be one to set this up on that year just do some research on which fuse it is and have fun!

Why not just wire it to an auxiliary switch?
Yeah that would probably work exactly like pulling the fuse, just without having to do the actual pulling of the fuse
