Thank you so much for making me go into the touchpad settings!! I find the standard four-finger-guestures quite pointless, but I changed them to volume settings and it's amazing! :)
I didn’t know about the three and four fingers, that’s awesome. A full Two finger swipe left or right also lets you go forward a page or backward a page.
Very cool. Thanks for sharing. I found that using 3 finger tap as a middle button for stuff like opening links in new tab and closing tabs is a total game changer
I also want to mention that on newer trackpads you can point your cursor on something( for ex. a button), and without releasing your finger, which you used to drag cursor, tap with another finger on that button, and it will press that button
Finnally found a cheap chinese touchpad which is recognized as a precision touchpad without special drivers. Works flawlessly. However I'd wish there was more customizability in Windows. In the old Logitech SetPoint software for the T650 you could customize gestures per app. Also I miss more gestures. For instance swipe from top, left, right. Rotate left right, perhaps even 5 finger gestures. Would be so useful when browsing. As is now I set 3 finger swipe back and forth to change tabs but still miss back and forth without compromising on other gestures. I could imagine two (I don't miss it for other stuff) or 5 finger rotate could be mapped to back and forth for instance.
Using gestures in m365 applications such as Excel is awkward, if not extremely difficult. Any suggesrions would be very much appreciated. Using gesture to jump around in Windows is one thing, getting work done once in the application is another
Can we change gestures settings in windows 10? I can use these gestures but I don't see any advanced gestured section below related and additional settings.
Please help!! I've been looking everywhere and can't find a way to fix my touchpad multi-finger gestures on Windows 11. My touchpad settings menu doesn't have the scroll enable setting nor options for gestures aside from tap. I tried updating and reinstalling the drivers. My laptop is up to date as well. I don't know what else to try anymore, this is getting really frustrating.
in the first sction you telled us about the right klick, wich i can only use by this two finger method, but not by the bottem right cornenr. Could you halp me by any instruction or what can i change in the setting, it would helpl me a lot, thanks
It’s really baffling that the quality of the gestures is still this bad in 2023. A MacBook Air from 2009 can do it more smoothly than a maxed out Windows 11 laptop can today…
So true. I recently bought the x1 carbon gen 12 and i still miss my macs touchpad gestures. So much smother in macs. My best suggestion would be switch to Linux natively if you are not a heavy gamer. This should smooth things up from what i have heard. I am a gamer so cant run linux natively.
Windows gestures suck no matter which version is. They are processed instantly after they made. To have responsive system they must be processed while user is performing them, like on osx or any mobile platform
Thank you, I didn't know that in 2023 I would have finished searching for this type of content. Very, very useful.
Really happy it helped!!
Im doing it in 2024😂

Scrolling is really slow on Windows 11 with Touchpad WTF - I KNOW! I agree with you.

Unrelated, but are you British or Irish?
