    You're a life saver, I could not for the life of me figure out how to use the CR touch and didn't know that the Z switch had to be removed. The instructions that come with the kit have some pretty bad translation issues and I couldn't figure out what or how to adjust the Z offset properly. Thank you so much for this video now I can get back to enjoying my hobby!

    I’m confused. I’ve done everything, but this doesn’t actually auto level anything. My knobs could be way off and bed completely crooked. I still have to level the bed with the knobs, right? So what does this actually do other than read the different levels at points around my bed?

    • @nachoscottluna
      @nachoscottluna 6 месяцев назад

      it accounts for it while printing but generally it’s good to have the bed decently leveled with the knobs but since the cr touch accounts for it it will correct it while printing and u don’t have to always have a perfect level

    Question: Why did you change the 'Probe Z Offset', what difference does it make in the calibration process?

  • @BrumKid
    @BrumKid Год назад +4

    Somethings that was not mentioned here.
    1. Make sure when you do the 9 point check all points are more or less the same as this will show your bed is level if not just keep adusting the 4 screws underneath till you get the reading the same which you will see on the main screen in the display which are X, Y, and the Z which changes as it moves up and down, mine are around 5.7 within .05 of each other.
    2. Make sure you have the firmware that supports the CR Touch which is 2.0.6 and above.

    i bought an ender 3 pro a few days ago and put it together and it was working fine till i watched a few vids and realized that i had a small bump in the center of my bed, so all my corners would be level (i used the paper method) but then the nozzle would drag on the center of the bed and that was great to listen to, i just spent the past 50 minutes trying to relevel and im not doing that again so i just bought the auto level thanks for the great vid💀💀

    the video helped me a lot thank you, one thing. You have the plate upside down, turn it around. You can get hot by having the components facing down. They screw it on top to save themselves from making a front (usb and micro holes) but it is harmful for you. put it down and adapt those two holes to put the usb and micro. and print yourself a part to cover that fan. Thanks for your video!!!! It's incredible, they just turned the box around without worrying in the least about the plate and the heat. This can greatly shorten the life of your printer.

The key to a good first layer is getting it pretty close to the bed so it sticks, as the item starts building the differences disappear. That depends on what version of the board you have. v4.2.2 and 44.2.7 are 32 bit boards with the cr touch / bl touch port. Any other board will not work as easily.
