I've found that the Arch install is a lot harder if you don't click through _every_ link that you don't fully understand. The install wiki is a single page but I found that I was opening up 10-15 tabs to dive more into grub, fdisk, systemd, etcc... All of this makes fixing issues/hiccups 100x easier, but then after that the install script saves a lot of time!

Hi thanks for sharing, I have similar tester, but my situation is wall mounted ethernet port, cable is either inside the wall or floor and i believe no one cut it not unless there’s mouse lol 😂. Could it mean the port itself is bad? I’m getting a skipping light on 3, 6, 8,G (these are skipped)

How many packages did you end up with after the clean install as shown on the video? I recently installed Arch on my main machine and I kinda wanted to see how it compares. Cool Konsole theme btw!

Enlightenment Desktop is one of the super light Desktop Environments. It's a good option if people want and can work with that type of desktop aesthetics and style. I'd rather opt for i3, openbox, fluxbox, and lxde. The Bodhi Linux team has done great work with their Moksha Desktop, A custom-stylized version of Enlightment Desktop.

Arch install has been around 4 years

I learned a lot trying to manually install arch in the last two days, i kind of liked it. Had many issues with booting, grub and wifi but eventually figured it out with tutorials. This was my first time properly trying to use linux after a very short lived mint installation (i accidently deleted the disk it was on so i just nuked it and started over). Now i get to tell all my friends i use arch and they should too (they barely know how to use windows).

archinstall is actually pretty good. only complaint with it is i wish it didnt name the lvm for lvm on luks install as ArchinstallVg and just named it vg instead. But its nice. setting up lvm on luks with arch is at least two dozen commands that I barely use and doing it with archinstall makes it way faster.
