Not caring is a major blow to their ego. They want to share "lovey dovey BS tidbits" about the new partner and you don't care/don't want to hear it really messes with their head, and at the same time they can't understand why you're not interested.

Im on day 103 of no contact. She tried some breadcrumbs along the way but I reacted very cold and ignored even most of them. Came to a point I decided to block her. All of this isn’t easy but I know for sure this all will be worth it. Whatever belongs to you will find you stay strong guys. 💯💪🏽

Some people believe they need to be with someone to be happy,aren't happy at all,and until they heal and learn to be happy alone they will continue the cycle of hopping in and out of relationships with different ppl adding on to unresolved self issues and soul ties...My ex moved in with another a few weeks after he beat me and put me down,while he moved on with someone I stayed single and worked on me,few months later ,he texted me a long texted on how sorry he was for abusing me and wanted his family back...I ignored that dude and he kept trying to call or text,even showed up to my house with stuff for our kids( in which he didn't do nothing for them in months) I told him he can go get his money back and leave us alone.Im not a bitter baby mama,but he did me bad in front of our kids,and I have to protect their young heart and minds as much as possible....

We broke up. She ended up rebounding with my good friend. They broke up cause he was the exact opposite of me. Didn't hear from her for a month. We started talking again, lots of love talk... she had another guy she worked with pursuing her hard, low hanging fruit a guy she had friend zoned. She wanted me to come and visit I went to visit, she and I hooked up all weekend and then on Sunday she was going to end it with me for the guy trying to court her. I told her either you tell him what's been going on between us or I am cause it's not fair to anyone and you have been playing me. She told him in front of me on the phone... we didn't talk much. Now I found out from a friend that they are dating. Poor bastard, this is his first relationship. Typical Fearful Avoidant.

“The grass is greener” syndrome isn’t always the reason someone breaks up with someone. I recently broke up with someone because he didn’t treat me how I felt I should be treated. I was gaslight, triangulated on, wasn’t courted, he threatened the relationship if I didn’t feel comfortable with a friendship he was in with someone he slept with, etc. he is now rebounding with a different “friend” that I had a bad feeling about in which he also talked about my personal business to months before I dumped him. I swear these videos have no nuance. But this is what I get for looking outside of myself for answers..
Dang I’m going through a similar situation.. I broke up with my bf because I felt he was building an emotional bond with his “ friend “. And I didn’t trust her we’re we always know & I kept warning him to stop being so open & friendly so I finally came to my senses and told him we need a break it’s like as soon I said that she was waiting so she can fully have him he literally got with her within one week .. but I just wish him good luck with that 😂 these men are really bold these days , & apparently she had just got out of something herself so basically they both are rebounding & acting so in love it’s been about 4 months now I’m the one that’s healing and picking up the pieces of myself it sucks but karma is real

10 year relationship fell apart during Covid. I should’ve given her a ring so much sooner. She moved 1000 miles away and we kept in touch daily, sending pictures, talking, every month I would either fly out to where she is or she would fly out to where I was. Last December I went out and surprised her and proposed to her. There was a guy at her house when I got there. It was devastating. She had met him the month before and not mentioned it. Literally the day before she met him we were talking about her moving back to where I live and us getting a hot tub for our house. We had no contact after the proposal for a week or so. We talked on off through January and it was pretty hurtful. Turns out the guy is married and has been having an affair on his wife for over two years before he switched to his next victim, my ex. They don’t have much in common as far as things they both like like activities, movies, bands, art. It’s now been over six months and we’ve had no contact here and there but always go back to each other for talking. During this time that she supposedly is in love with him she has seen me in person in her city a few times. We’ve even had sex in person as well as many times through video chats as recently as a week ago. Today I’ve decided to start full no contact.
I never lost who I was when I was with her so refining myself isn’t something I need to do. What I’m trying to do now is find a new meaning for my life. Where we lived we moved here together to better our families lives. Now I have no family here and I’m strongly considering selling my house, moving, and trying something I always wanted to do when I was much younger. This would put me in the same state as her but I’m hoping that was a no contact if I make this move it will be for the right reasons and not because of her.
The guy now is supposedly drawing up divorce papers even though his wife is pregnant with her second baby due this summer. I think she’s going to be in for a rude shock to her system if he does get a divorce and he’s dealing with a newborn baby with a wife who is going to be pissed if she ever find out he’s been having an affair for three years behind her back. She created a Jerry Springer episode out of her life and it sucks to see her go down that path telling herself how happy she is even though she’s cried to me on the phone so many nights about the situation. It’s been a mess but I’ve never in 48 years met someone like her, that I connect with on so many levels.
Who knows where the future will go and what it will bring for myself. But I do know there is nothing to hold me back in whatever I choose

I’m still debating a move while getting my business self sufficient and renting my house to go after an old dream of mine that also puts me in that area to some degree.
Ozz the other guy is not what's preventing you from getting back together.
I know its devastating, but this relationship is a lesson for you. You have to learn from every single breakup whether it was you that did it or someone did it to you.
I was dumped by an FA via a 2000 word text. I pretty much had to lose my diginity and tell her via text i wont accept bring dumped by text, come look me in the face and have a conversation. Took many many messages and 2 months until she eventually came and lied repeatedly. I worked out she was rebounding with her ex. Typical Fearful Avoidant behaviour from start to finish.
In the end i called it out, she denied it at first but the same day all of a sudden wanted to phone me and explain everything.
Here is a lesson for you - ignore everything that comes out of her mouth. Observe her behaviours. If you can do that with a clear unbounded by love view you will see she is not ready for love, she is not capable of it. You are in love not with her, but with the imagined dream life that never existed except in your imagination. The reality is she is toxic and the pain you feel is not just your own, it is the damage she inflicts on herself and as you have compassion that hurts you too. Observe that she didn't have compassion for herself, so she is not ready.
Your second lesson is to learn to let go.
Focus on your life. Not hers. Who cares what her lovers wife is doing, you certainly shouldn't. Why do you even know that. Go no contract, create a chart of 30 days and Mark them off each day. When you get to 30, Mark out 30 more. If you want to reach out to her (many FAs won't reach out after a rebound because of embarrassment guilt and shame) do not do it before 30 days and realistically if you can make it 30, why not do more. Her rebound will usually last 6-9 months. Thats 6-9 months to learn to let go

My ex broke up with me after 2 years together, She has 2 kids which are not mine. They are her ex husbands. Of which I grew an attachment with both of them, and her over the years together.
I found out 2 and a half weeks later after our breakup that she was "Talking" to another colleague, as he got dumped by his ex a week before us. This was after begging and pleading and all the other stuff you regret doing after a breakup that you didn't want to happen.
The other thing is that we all work together. When I found out it made me jealous, upset and hurt and all other emotions, I asked my ex what was going on between them both, she replied "its got nothing to do with me. We broke up!" I then spoke to him and he said "there's nothing going on, we are just talking as we are going through the same thing." Which I replied "No, if anything we are going through the same thing as we both got dumped!"
I then went into a depression and was off work for 4 weeks. In this time my ex did not contact me, nor did I contact her. She kept blocking and unblocking me on different social medias. The day I came back to work 7 weeks after our breakup, I was hearing rumours that they were with each other. So I contacted her saying - "How in the month off, I've tried bettering myself. I passed my driving test and got a car. And got my head in a much better place. I explained to her what I wanted in life, and that I still loved her and missed her and how much she and her kids meant to me. And if she still had any feelings for me, that I would love to take her out sometime in my car.
She replied. "I'm glad you passed your driving test and are in a better head space. however, I've moved on. And I'm now with "the colleague" hope this doesn't upset you. just being honest. wish you all the best."
I replied. "Look I love you, and I still care about you. But I cannot be friends with you, there's been just too much between us. I will move on.
So in the 4 weeks I was off trying to sort my life out, and having hope of reconciliation in my heart. She was seeing him and doing things with one another.
That day she told me, I blocked her on everything and she did the same. For some reason that evening I unblocked her on WhatsApp, and within 10 minutes she unblocked me for the evening. No messages between us. I wake up the next day and she blocked me again. The next day I went into work and saw her in the distance and she looked at me. That evening she put that she was in a relationship with him on Facebook and blocked me on WhatsApp and Facebook. Its been just over 2 weeks now and he has not put he's in a relationship with her on his Facebook profile. And I am still blocked. She ignores me at work and blanks me to the point she did a backwards crab like walk looking away from me when she passed me. She still has some of my belongings at hers. Plus stuff I bought her I could see on her last profile picture in the background at her home before she blocked me. I've been in no contact with her and ignore her as much as she ignores me at work. according to my friends she posts pictures of them holding hands, and soppy quotes looking all loved up, this is all coming from her Facebook profile mostly.
I have unblocked her on everything. This I did 2 weeks ago.
Anyways what I'm trying to work out is, is this a rebound relationship, a monkey branch relationship, or a real relationship? And do you think I have any chance in getting her back? I do still love her even after everything. And even though the thought of them two together is sickening. I know everyone makes mistakes in life and everyone has free will, I feel I have forgiveness in my heart too.

I know it's been a month since this comment but wanted to chime in.
After reading all of that, I need to take a walk or something haha! Thats a lot man. My ex did some very similar things(besides the blocking and unblocking stuff), 2 weeks new person, that person just got out of something, leaning on each other because similar situation, emotion and understanding etc etc etc. I know you love her but it would do you a lot of good to try and let this be for now. She is in her infatuation phase and honeymoon phase. She is loving the new attention and new love. It's a rebound for sure but could have been some monkey branching happening(only her or the guy could admit that but honest, I wouldn't bother finding out, just let it be a rebound and watch from a far far distance). Also, do not let her bread crumb you when the time comes, you are worth so much more than that. Take care of you, get back on the right track for your life, set new goals to achieve, find hobbies, have fun, date some, do whatever your hearts desire.
My ex and me have a child together and a 10 year age gap, she says she can't see a future with me but wants to keep in contact with my older kids and we deleted each other of socials except she didn't remove me from snapchat and we have years of pictures of us on there, she told me she's casually seeing someone... yet got mad when I suggested no contact or we try again do I still have a chance

I heard both no contact and contact. Tried to find a middle ground, no good. I messed up a lot as she kept a lot hidden so wasn't sure what her situation was with the other guy. He is showing her off, but she has him nowhere. Very sus. I had asked her to the movies twice and she said yes but then cancelled last min.

Totally. I'm kind of a clown prince, so she's laughing half the time. We've always had that sexual intensity with eachother. We are reconnecting right now. I'm finding that not being needy and not chasing her is working. Do I have bad days? Yes. Just throw on Patiance by Guns and Rose's. Ride the night out. Pain is good for cranking a quick comp out of the keyboard too.
I went into No Contact mode the moment my "friend" told me about his new Long Distance Rebound, where I stood with him after he told me about her, and didn't give me any options in the situation as well. He drew the line in the sand while flaunting her like cheap jewelry to friends/family. Not only did I go heavily into NC (it lasted 90 days from the day he told me), I also went into IDGAD (I Don't Give A Damn) mode. As things progressed, the "🚩's" started showing, and I continued to distance myself from him. He would call me sometimes several times a day to reminisce and wanting to chat because he missed my presence and talking to me, however I had NOTHING to say to him (one morning he called me in tears and angry demanding to know WHY I wasn't calling HIM on a regular basis). One of our mutual friends even told me that he would see him around during that time and he looked sooo depressed and sad. To date: he sees that the "relationshyt" he still spending time trying to convince people is sooo great is slowly disintegrating in front of him and he wound up calling me in tears. Close to the holidays he got into a physical altercation with her ex- and as a result he walked away/created distance from her. We "reconnected" however he's (still) too embarrassed to realize and admit that he made a mistake because his EGO won't allow him to pull the trigger. The reality that he knows I don't care or ask about her and his rebound is a blow to his ego as well and it's eating him alive.

What the dumpee wants to see when you come a knocking, it's their lost let them work! I hear all this change for them crapp, change for yourself. Don't let them touch your new shining toy! I understand this video and everything you're saying but my ex met someone in within a year got engaged and got married so was that still considered a re bound or is she just given up and walk away from me forever I would love someone to give me an answer to that theory

My friend was a in 9yr relationship and his friend kept telling him how he should break up with her, only to soon find out he started dating his girlfriend behind his back. The girl thought how she did so much better than my friend (he's not ideal, I admit, but still... it was a shit move), they broke up 3 years later, cuz that new guy was constantly getting high on coke and turned out not to be such a catch in the end. Basically a worse version of my friend in a way, so there you go. If you rebound, I think the odds are you will 99% end up either in some bullshit fantasy that will wear off soon or exactly the same or similar or even worse type of relationship you thought you escaped to, cuz you changed nothing dear rebounder. No matter how different you may look or what you think you changed about yourself. Attachment style, trauma and other crap doesn't disappear overnight and especially if you can't be alone for 5 minutes, than you haven't learned jack shit no matter what story you are telling yourself or the other person.

Maybe he misses you and isn't fully happy in the rebound so he goes to where his actual happiness is, with you. I'm kinda in the same boat as you (minus the years) but my ex has been seeing me while in a rebound relationship that she told me was over (but I guess not). If you bring any type of comfort and/or peace to his life then that's why he comes back. I think he hid it to not hurt you.
To have his cake and eat it. Some of them are assholes. My ex tried this too, before I knew there was another person in the picture.... Luckily I am too proud to go back to an ex in that way without any commitment! If you're not my boyfriend or husband... You're not getting anything from me!!

What if it's your BM who rebounds to a 10 year older, really successful divorced single Father is the guy she's rebounding too? She has done this before with another guy and I took her back, and is doing it two years later after trying to make it work out but it didn't. Me and my gf broke up about 2 weeks ago. I would say about a month but the mileage varies.
Usually a month or 2 sometimes 3 months but honestly they never last that long.

I wonder how important physical attractiveness. I know that my ex is not physically attracted to her new guy. He is shorter then her, bald and not to good looking. From common friends I know she likes me more. We had gr8 relationship, but last 3 years I became very bad because of work. When I first met him, he was all like being friendly with me and seemed liked maybe he was hesitant to start up something. this year things just shifted where all of a sudden he just avoided me like the plague when we were on a group together and saw each other at this group thing several times a week. We never dated, never slept together. But, his body language was as if he liked me in that way and I was confused over why he never acted upon it. @@krisg2640 they’ll break apart eventually. When a person loves another, feelings don’t just go away when they meet someone new. Chances are he still loves you, a lot. I understand how you feel because I’m literally going through the exact same thing rn, but he isn’t her ex. The best advice I can give you is not to be mad at him. I know that it seems like he betrayed you and just left you in the dirt but I can assure you that’s not the case. People just have different ways of coping, and getting a sense of normalcy can be one of them. If anything, him getting with another person actually means that he loved you a lot. If you want him back, he’ll come back eventually. But try to focus on yourself and your mental health before you do anything. Stay strong queen👑
