Being a rebound sucks, which is why will never get involved with a woman who's fresh out of a breakup. The thing to do after a breakup is to get yourself right, first and foremost, before you invite someone else in. After a breakup, the thing to do is to instead of trying to get your ex back, your first job is to get yourself back. Invest in yourself as a person. At the end of the day, and yes you can do things that will improve your chances of them coming back, but whether your ex decides to come back or not is a choice they have to make for themsleves, just like you have to ultimately make the choice wether or not you will take them back. The only thing you can do is keep pushing forward.

We started talking again and for a few days I got all the attention, he looked at all my Facebook stories and commented on several of them. Last time he did that was before we broke up. Two months after the breakup he was suddenly madly in love with his much younger co-worker who he'd been working with for nearly a year. Emotionally detaching does not mean someone actually processed the end of a relationship or healed. Many times, someone emotionally detaches so they can avoid processing it and then rebounds to distract themselves. Someone still needs time between relationships to heal and reflect (especially if it was toxic), or it will still be a rebound.
Takes time to heal especially in a toxic or emotionally detached doesn’t matter you still need time alone to process things don’t use a toxic situation to soothe yourself with a rebound what you doing is toxic because you’ve learnt nothing

#4 especially is what happened to me....she went the EXACT opposite from me....now she alway use to tell me that she's attracted to older men and she could never date anyone very young.... I've seen her ex"s before and they were much older than her....now she's 39 I'm 44 but i look alot younger than my age....I get mistaken for late 20s....now, the new guy she's with is the exact opposite....he's younger, my personality is fun like hers and more outgoing to a degree and he's quiet and very robotic looking....we all work together so I see it everyday....I know she misses me cause when he's not around she still flirts and do little inside jokes....it's like she need to get at least 1 daily fix of me....and I see them sometimes and she looks miserable....like that spark she use to have went away, and when she jokes with me it comes back a lil....always tryin to find a way to touch me and whatnot...even her daughter said she misses me, but her pride and ego won't let her admit that.....so....idk....and the fact she tries to hide him and doesn't claim him as a bf is crazy too....but I know what it is....she doesn't see longterm with him and its just a quick fix....

His parents live on a different continent and I suspect he too has a poor relationship with them. My ex is hanging out with a guy I work with he’s that type of guy who “there for them” the guy who is a shoulder to cry and and messes with her emotional state and makes her feel like she likes him. The worst part is that he has not told be about it or he’s avoiding it. Some people take advantage of the emotional vulnerable and it sucks

it's a Trauma bond -- it's not a good thing. Eventually one of few things will happen --one person may decide to work on themselves (ie. therapy) and they will start to see how the relationship is not ideal and the other person may either choose to stay stagnant because therapy you will have to hold your self accountable and face some things, 2. both people may continue the relationship because it's comfortable and they know how to navigate the chaos, 3. one of the people may see that the person they thought they were getting with isn't what they thought the other person was and leave whether in a healthy manner or a toxic manner
