Nice video, I use Libre and Blucon and love them. The alarms are nice and are loud enough to wake me up. You can adjust your BG ranges to whatever you want. The best part of blucon is I can calibrate it for higher accuracy!

I usually have my fasting glucose in the prediabetic range and my after-meal glucose has the same value as well. Around 110-130
Is it possible I can suffer from Ketoacidosis?

Thankyou for this video it has been helpful. Recently brought a blood glucose monitor mainly because I thought my blood sugar went low. I'm only small built at 50kg, eat healthy, exercise. But due to my Gasteoparesis I have been struggling recently to eat. I honestly thought my blood sugars were dropping due to this. But instead discovered my blood sugar is doing the opposite and is quite high.
8.6mmol is my highest reading so far literally 3 half hours after eating a small meal.

I’m not a doctor but I believe I read somewhere that surgery or trauma/ extreme stress can elevate your blood sugar levels.

Its not calories, its carbs tht need reduction. Suggest googling Dr. Dan Bikman and study insulin resistance. Fix the root cause with the right diet.

Why would it means if I am able to keep my numbers after meals under 140.. 120 most of the time but I get between 100-120 fasting numbers? Does that means I am pre diabetic? My de told me my numbers are high but not to be a diabetic.. I had cut most of carbs

diabetes is mainly caused by carbs and sugar in a lot of foods and juices - see the many vlogs on low carb keto lifestyle and also cooking keto, and see if you want to try. Show them to your mum and hopefully she is still producing insulin and can reverse her diabetes into remission and stop taking meds. Some like glycade, actually force the pancreas to produce more insulin 24 hours a day 7 days a week etc until finally the pancreas can no longer produce insulin and she will end up on needles. The fact is at pre diabetes and diabetic stage the body is producing way more than normal levels of insulin - read up on Insulin resistance - You can get a test for this and it should be below 10 and nearer or lower than 5, not the new level of less than 20 which is BS - again watch some vlogs / find out if your or get a new doctor that understands IR and a low carb keto diet - good luck to you and especially your mum

high glucose in the morning is called dawn effect and is normal, not sure of what level eg 6,7,8,... etc but that is the body waking up and giving you energy to start the day The body increases testosterone, cortisol that stimulates glucose release from the liver. - search for that on you tube channels
