    Very helpful video. Can you do a video explain how to stitch CKC A0 patterns? I am trying so hard to do their Adileen patterm and its just being so goofy for me. Pretty please.

      Thank you for watching! I haven't stitched many CKC patterns because I don't own too many. Sometimes it takes a little bit of trial and error! Is the pattern split across 2 or more pages? If not, then you can just stitch it together and not worry too much about trim settings. I think many CKC patterns don't have the margins marked, which makes it harder.
      You can try the measure tool in Adobe and measure where a pattern line ends to the edge of the paper. This should give you a trim setting to start with.
      Since I don't own the pattern, I would need to see pics of what you have so far and the settings you have on PDF Stitcher.
      Post a picture in the Projectors For Sewing Facebook group, if you are on Facebook. facebook.com/groups/ProjectorsForSewing
      You can tag me (Sheredith Hardy), or ask if anyone has stitched this pattern yet and they can let you know their settings. :)

      Thank you for this step by step tutorial. I read the written tutorial but it did not make sense to me, especially in the columns and rows part. Seeing you work with a pattern made the light go on in my head. Now I understand d what Stitcher does.

    What an awesome tutorial, thank you! I have an A0 file split over 2 pages. I get a small misalignment when I "stitch" the pages. Is this a Trim or Overlap issue, perhaps? Thank you.

      Yes, a slight misalignment is typically due to the margin trim or overlap being off. Readjust the margin and generate again.

    Do you need to use PDFStitcher if your pattern is already a projector file or is it just for regular pdf patterns?

    • @projectorsewing
      @projectorsewing  Год назад +1

      If it’s a projector pattern file that you are just opening in Adobe reader, no.
      However sometimes projector files are “locked” and you can’t open them in programs such as Inkscape or Affinity Designer to make adjustments, unfold, mirror, or plan the layout of your pattern pieces. In this case, just opening and generating a “new” pattern file with PDF stitcher will allow you to open the file in those programs without a password.

    Hi, I just downloaded v0.7.1 nd my setting tab only offers me to check for updates. It does not give me any othe preferences you are mentioning in your video which I would really like to have. Any idea why? I'm missing this?

      No need, I found it. It just wasn't under settings.

    What if my pdf pattern doesn’t have a sizing box for calibration?

    • @projectorsewing
      @projectorsewing  Год назад

      You can typically use your calibration zoom and it will still be accurate. But, I’d measure the pieces if you know their measurements or sew a test piece.
      It’d be a good thing to request from the pattern designer too. 😉

    When I load a pattern I get this message. A bunch of verbiage, bottom line says “Runtime Error: unable to load OpenSSL legacy provider
    I’ve opened in adobe and saved with the layers I want. Saved it and still can’t open in affinity designer. I keep getting a message that it is protected.
    I went to the Facebook page and said what I am saying here and Sasha said to go through pdf stitcher. I’ve done all the things. But again
    PDF stitcher gives me an error
    Adobe opens and I can choose my layers and save
    Affinity (when opening from the saved adobe file) or any file for that matter gives me a “protected” box and I need a document open password.
    I’m pulling my hair out.
    Help?

    • @TheSwissy4me
      @TheSwissy4me 7 месяцев назад

      Funny thing , I can upload the pattern in affinity designer 6.0. Just fine. What’s up with this?

    • @projectorsewing
      @projectorsewing  7 месяцев назад

      “Protected” usually happens if a pattern is password protected. When you run it through PDF Stitcher, are you opening the “new” file you generated? It will never overwrite the original, so you will need to open where you’ve saved the generated file from PDF Stitcher.
      Also, are you putting two pages of an A0 file together? If so, it’s rare, but possible your file dimensions are bigger than 200x200 and cannot open in Adobe.
