I particularly love the way Mustie gets his audience involved in the projects, makes it so much more personal and enjoyable, Sundays have taken on a whole new meaning now that we have his videos to look forward to.
I like Mustie, he doesn't harp on you about subscribing or begging for "likes", he doesn't try to hock any merchandise, he doesn't ask for anything. he just says come on in and let's hang out and do some wrenching
I'm not sure how effective subscribe begging is. If you want people to sub just give them content they want to view. They're smart enough to think to sub themselves.
No intro music with a redundant video title splayed across the screen. He doesn't spend several minutes talking to the camera, newscaster style, telling us what he's going to do, he gets right into it with his trademark 1st person POV. I despise those channels that do that, and most of guys are pretty ugly to look at, especially Uncle Tony (lol).
@@Hjerte_Verke RUclips does make it pretty easy to fast forward video. I do that a lot on parts I don't want to see. There's also people that watch videos at faster playback speed. For some slow stuff I can see that. The format has been getting longer on the platform. I skip videos a lot just because I don't have that kind of time to watch them. There's parts of this video I skipped ahead of. Stuff like weld beads and saw cuts. I skip that. I know what's going to happen there.
Oh my God, everyone sound the ⏰️, Mustie actually bought a few new parts for a project. There was always talk through annals of history that he had indeed bought new parts before, but I had never seen it with my own eyes. What a glorious day 🎉🎉.
Thank you for the video! You are allowing us to relive those things through you as well as inspire us to do the same. You really do have a positive effect on many peoples lives. Thank you for that.
I love working on what people throw away. My dad passed away 1 year ago and had a power washer with burner. Thanks to you I’ve got it up and running like new. The bad part on it was the pressure switch that turns on flow switch.
Mustie as a gearhead a a bowler. Loved the old bowling ball bag for storage i use a duckpin ball bag to carry tools when I'm in the salvage yard . I'm from Maryland. Love all your projects
Sunday School with the Master of Mechanical Engineering, I've learnt so much by watching these Videos, that I have actually put somethings into practice ( bare in mind I'm 67 lol and still learning ), The quality of the content is always amazing, the commentary along the way is never to technically advanced, keeping within layman's realms. It has become a Sunday lunchtime must do, along with a cup of coffee and Bacon sandwiches ( With Brown sauce lol ), every Sunday I wake and ask myself " whats on Mustie 1s workbench today"
I love how you can go shopping in your stashes all over, that you have the room to store ALL the stuff you have kept over the years.. I have SO much stuff and almost NO room for it, I get bitched at constantly (eh) but man.. to have the space you've acquired over the years.. plus once you got that shop, man that shop is awesome. That new barn you have is going to be a sweet place to keep stuff too.. that upstairs you did with the elevator, SO nice.. to be able to use all that space. Man I keep EVERYTHING because as SOON as I get rid of something, without a doubt I need it and have to go through the hassle of finding whatever it is I just threw away.
I first started watching the beginning episode of the Taiwan mini truck engine removal. I thought hey, what the F was the reason the big change back . I then checked my phone, and the buggy was here! My tv hadn't updated I guess in a long while. Thanks for the Sunday morning ritual routine. Thank you.
A solution for the muffler issue would be to swap out the exhaust manifold studs on head for bolts. I just paused the video to text this message, then restarted the video and realized you did exactly what I suggested. Great minds think alike😁.
This guy is awsome not to many of these guys left its all youngens these days like everyday i look to see if theirs a video up for us all to watch great guy man i would love to meet him and his videos he tells you and shows you whats wrong and shows u everything smart fella him and diesel creek they both are good guys man i cant wait till he works on the bobcat motor thats guna be a good video
Hey Mustie, these creative videos beat the straight repair videos hands down. Your all time best was the Meter Maid. We saw your whole skillset and with a joyous result. Best to ya!
Hi Darren. This is Darren, lol. Love the build. Always look forward to your videos. Thanks for all of your hard work!!! Hope you and your family have a Happy Thanksgiving!!!!😊
Excellent video Mustie 1 :) also on Air Cleaner think a exhaust bow tie then bend to down bit then Aluminum shake weld pipe hole with air filter in shaker and fuel tank plastic or steal one ! But come together nicely and put mirrors on side too Lol!
Mustie1, one of your best projects yet! I think this rig with the torquey 338cc engine is going pull from the bottom like crazy. I'd worry about the frame and small wheels in front taking all the weight and kinetic energy, especially if you were to go off-road. And I keep saying aloud -- I think cutting a notch in the fiberglass (tastefully) would provide easy access to the valve cover, if need be. That said, for many years now this channel is my go-to for Sunday afternoon relaxation with coffee and a grilled meat & cheese panini sandwich!
I get absolutely estatic when a Sunday episode of Mustie1 comes up in my feed. He always has some wild ideas on how to overcome issues that would deive most people stark babbling insane. His stash is legendary. I thought I was the king of crap I think I'll use some day horders. He makes me look like a newbie horder. This is another Mustie1 series I'll be craving for the next episode. Ooh, did I hear Darren mention a future mad max bicycle build ? I'd love to see another series of him building up one. Hopefully like the dual engine Steampunk one.
At 49:48, y6u have a dirty blue metal gas tank on the shelf. I think that would look pretty good mounted to the top like you were talking about. While I was watching, I was sure you were going to grab it specifically for that.. Loving the build!
Thank you Mustie! Probably the best channel on RUclips. No pandering for subscribers or advertisers.
I agree
Good morning everyone watching from Lincolnshire UK 🇬🇧
Yorkshire here 👍
Good Morning, UK!
Yorkshire coast here!

My Sundays with Mustie have become a sacred early morning me time routine while the family is asleep lol
There should be an "Early Sunday morning Mustie club"😊
Same with me....
@tarstakars there is in the comments section 😂
@@tarstakarsI’m in! Let’s set it up
It’s nice isn’t it?
I love the accuracy of the combination of a vernier caliper and the sharpie pen.
Darren hasn't figured out how to scribe marker yet. Cuz ain't nobody got time for Dykem blue to dry.

Back to classic........ 'Mustie Muck About with Stuff'.........Brilliant. Thanks.
There is nothing better than a Mustie laugh on a Sunday morning.❤
It is .... alive! ( maniacal laugh )
Q-tip with drop of paint on it to transfer hole locations.
Great Sunday morning to you. My coffee and Mustie 1 nothing is better this cool morning.
You are building a Big Cox's Dune Buggy! Ah childhood memories! 🤗

He has some money wrapped up in this project. Still shouldn't be that much cash when he's done though. Not for a half scale Manx anyways.
He does this often, you need to tune in more often. He just utilizes the junk stash to keep costs down.
@@Hjerte_Verke there's some things just money won't buy.
Everyone here wishes we had a junk drawer the size of Mustie's warehouse, too. LOL. Thanks for sharing, as always.
Dr.D. I so love your 1870's lathe. I'm just breaking your "Bearing Parts"!! 🤩🥰
Water Wheel? No! Steam! 🤣😂😉
This is like my 13 year old self's fantasy. Dreamt of making a go-kart from stuff lying around. Super fun.
I wish you were my Dad when I was a kid. Cool stuff happening all week every week.
Thank you for the video! You are allowing us to relive those things through you as well as inspire us to do the same. You really do have a positive effect on many peoples lives. Thank you for that.
My favorite part of everything he does is all the parts and pieces are comically fuckgaggled and it always turns out amazing. Gold!!
I like that you're taking your time with this project and try to get the best results. I think it's coming along beautifully.
mr.mustie has us laughing and impressed with your mechanical skills and willing to try and error. Keep making videos sir.CHEERS
Sunday evenings with Darren here in OZ. A wonderful time to finish off any weekend. 👍🇦🇺
39.00mins up there up there!!!!! Mustie says, " yea your looking right at it and not even telling me" bahahahahahaaha love it
This is such a Kool build,,
I'm loving it big time,,!!😊
I love peaceful Sunday mornings watching Mustie. The VW like tailpipes are so cool!
Gawd, I love it when no plan comes together like a good plan. 😊
You really made me smile with that scaled down "VW" muffler 😁 I LIKE IT 👍
Sunday morning ritual: Coffee, Mustie and a very entertaining video.
I love working on what people throw away. My dad passed away 1 year ago and had a power washer with burner. Thanks to you I’ve got it up and running like new. The bad part on it was the pressure switch that turns on flow switch.
your videos are the highlight of my RUclips week mate, appreciate it so much, thank you.
It's looking great, little bit of work, but certainly looks VW buggy,😂 thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones
Afternoon Mustie crew. Manxie back in to follow the Manx 👍👌🇮🇲😜
Me to from sunny😂 port st Mary
you are the teacher. something I learned many years ago. "if you do not have what you need, use what you got" well done
That muffler fabrication was very interesting to watch , 👍 well done
Darren, thanks for demonstrating that a project like this is part engineering and part artistic design.
And part child-like enthusiasm!

Very nice, looks great. The hoard paid off handsomely!
Always so much fun when you come up with a new section, especially small engines.
Nice job with the exhaust pipe/ Per Sweden
Amazing! Always fun to watch. Enjoyed the build. Nice job. Thanks for sharing
You read my mind, with the exhaust. Perfect.
Hey, Big D! You'll never get government work using a lathe! "Measure with a micrometer, mark with a -- felt tip marker, cut with a chain saw."
Loving this series! Mustie for the win!
The exhaust looks perfect!
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦

Mustie! Where were you when I needed you in 1967, trying to build my first cart out of broken lawn mower parts? Great video!
I wake up at 6:00 am every morning to watch you love the idea
Nothing like a bright arc flash and Musties'funny banter to make my Sunday complete Thanks Mustie👍
HMMM, That muffler located on the back may make it hard to change the oil. Make sure you leave enough room. Cool Vids as always. Thanks
It won't get used enough even with Rough use & even if it does. Then some one will figure out how to service the Yellow engine.🤔
you are so skilled mustie i have learnd so mutch by seeing your videos and that is a good way to spend ones time i cant get enough
Love the tour of the spare parts bins!
Mustie1 you make my Sundays every week and when you slip one in during the week. This has been a really cool project build. Thanks for sharing this.
That thing is going to be wicked cool when it's done
Dude it's coming along! Love the look of that exhaust.
That ending was golden😂😂

57:44 I started to comment earlier that it appeared that the wheel was slipping… you cleared that up😂

Really clever. Generally would not be my cup of tea…but this was really fun! Well done.
Nice! Been waiting for this one. 🤘
