Nothing better than seeing a bunch of grown men having a blast on a go cart... The smile on each of your faces makes this video totally worth watching... Love it...
58 here, hot wheels to slot cars too bmx too mini bikes n go karts too race cars. we used to get flats on our go kart,no money for tubes so we stuffed red shop rags in the tire. the rags would all clump to one side and cause one heck of a bumpy ride! but whe you have a running go kart looking at you, you'll stop at nothing!!!
Mustie i have a pain in my gut giggling here like a big child mostly at you and your friends laughing , I WANNA BE A KID AGAIN HAHAHAHAH , Thanks for the brilliant video , Kind Regards from Steve here in Dublin Ireland 🙂
70 year old couple ere sat sipping dram and laughing our bits off watching this absolute classic here in NW France. May the gods continue to shine down on you Mustie for bringing us so much happiness and laughter.
As a 12 year old with graying hair I totally agree it should be Mach 5'd. That looks like crazy amounts of fun, it's way faster than any go kart I've seen. And Mustie being a bad influence on his friends will never stop being hilarious.
Well done, I honestly think you are going to need a flex joint in that exhaust it will fatigue over time and probably pull the exhaust studs out of the engine as you can see the engine moving around and the exhaust id solid mounted.
@@nevillegoddard4966 yeah that would be a good idea. Small exhaust hangers at the bottom. I also think it still needs a flex joint up the top as the length of the exhaust will have a lot of leverage on the top mounting. I have seen ride on mowers with these same issues I am refering too.
Day late but im here boys!! We used to run go karts where we grew up in a suburb of Minneapolis MN. Cops would always just wave at us and never messed wit us kids.
My wife just said boys with their toys lol,it looks like a blast to drive ,quick too ,looks fantastic and the exhaust just finishes it off ,great work Mustie once again 👍👍
Handlebars are defunked because little Joey kept falling off his bicycle. Brother in law of mine had a go cart we used to race around the neighborhood in. Man that was fun even when it breaks or runs out of fuel and had to push it back to his house. You make Sunday videos always interesting and educational.
Hi I'm 77 this month I'd happily spend on a flight from Scotland just to have a rip on this cool machine. If you fit a hinge at the nose and catches on the rear you will be able to have a quick way into the workings of this awsome machine for all round maintenence.
This has been a Great 1Hr and 25 minutes. Just had a blast watching you getting the Tiny Corvair Monza up and running. Liked the way you shared you toy with your "young freinds"🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Oh Mustie thank you. Had a ball. Kevin in Down Town Wilcannia
Hey Mustie, just a thought but there is a 3rd party company that makes an electric start kit for these little 212 cc predator engines, got one for my tiller, works pretty good. Its around $130 if i remember correctly, would eliminate the need for the pull start!
I don't know what it is, but I see all sorts of people on RUclips with souped up sports cars, supercars and various exotics...but the people driving what is essentially a glorified go-cart are the ones having the most fun driving it!
Hey mustie. I just wanted to say thankyou so much. I've been so interested in the world of mechanics for a very long time. Yourself and a couple other youtubers have given me the confidence to chase what i love so. I've been tinkering wherever i go. And always seem to have the right tool at the right time. Well thanks to you i have an interview this week in a mechanics apprenticeship and i really do hope I'm accepted. So a huge thanks again mustie for giving me the confidence to tinker on thing's and chase what i love so. Have a nice day!
As a fellow gray headed 12 year old, I know that if I were a kid and was given this as a 12 year old, within @ 30 minutes I would have wanted a more powerful engine and more speed. I also would have wanted a custom exhaust with twin tailpipes and knew I'd have the coolest go cart around. And yes, every time Mustie chuckles, I smile. Great restore and upgrade.
great job and now this is why i watch your video's makes me want to get one just for the fun of it. Nothing wrong with being a kid again after 50's lol keep it up bud.
Awesome, Awesome, Awesome. The colour scheme you have in mind would be perfect for this. You may as well complete your dream. So thanks for taking me along on this build. ✌️ Peace from Melbourne Australia.
So funny! My wife wants to drive it too. I just said to her they are like a bunch of 14 year olds having fun and I agree it's more like 12 year olds! Good times!
12 yr olds with grey hair, gotta love it, stay young at heart and youll live forever, keep the great content coming mustie, im 43 bald with grey beard lol, im a single father of 3 boys, 24, 19, and 17 matter of fact today is my middle sons 19th bday my oldest turned 24 on the 7th, i grew up on dirtbikes and karts my boys grew on dirtbikes and karts, no matter how old u get the smiles nvr stop coming when you and your kids and friends and family spend the day ripping on whatever ya got!!
What a great finish!!! You always amaze us with what you can do with a few good parts and pieces. The exhaust was perfect. You should be the Pace Car for some upcoming race or event.
Good morning, Mustie! Wow! What a fun video😃! Someone is going to have LOTS of fun with that🏎. It just goes to show, you're always a kid at heart and will always enjoy the simpler things that we all loved when we were younger🧒. Thanks so much for the ride along! Enjoy the rest of the weekend! God bless.
That little thing is awesome with that engine in it. Great innovations to get it there, the exhaust, the pull start mods. Glad you were firm on not cutting the body and making it work. Great work!
Nice Job Mustie! And put a number on the front and some decals! Yeah a different paint job would be neat! But the red is Ok! Some younger kid is going to love that!
if the problem turns out to be fuel slosh in the bowl, one of our karting tricks is to use some fuel tolerant foam cut to fit in the bowl and not mess with the float. The foam slows down the slosh. In my 6 speed shifter kart I use what we call a "pump-around" system which uses a second impulse fuel pump and a epoxied tube to extract excess fuel and put it back in the tank along with the foam to control sloshing. The float, needle and needle seat are removed completely and the fuel level is set by the tube epoxied from the top of the bowl. Perfect fuel level at all times and eliminates tip in bog when you apex and sends you on the way.
I can't believe that after all these years, Darren hasn't picked up an old pipe/tube bender. All those exhausts done with weld is awesome but, time wise. Anyway, carry on. Cheers.
Nothing better than seeing a bunch of grown men having a blast on a go cart... The smile on each of your faces makes this video totally worth watching... Love it...
Good grief!
The giggles when you are driving it…just the best!
"12 year olds with gray hair" LOVE it! I just turned 60. Grew up with Rupp minibikes and carts. We had a dealer in our town.

I am 47 and never grow up. hehe
..Peace & Love from Sweden by the way.
I resemble that.
Now there is a Dealer in every town!
@@Robert-mt9jw Not Rupp. Long gone!

nice fabbin'....that was close with the left quarter panel in the shop haha....
REMEMBER what it was like, being a young kid? The joy is palpable.
As soon as you started drifting it I had a huge smile across my face 😂 love it! Wish I had one!
As a 12 year old with graying hair I totally agree it should be Mach 5'd. That looks like crazy amounts of fun, it's way faster than any go kart I've seen. And Mustie being a bad influence on his friends will never stop being hilarious.
Nice to see other good people who havnt grown up .....never change !!
Coolest thing ever, the inner child is so impressed with that cart.
It's KART actually. 😎
The beavis and butthead laugh's are when you know it's a really fun toy! Awesome!!!.
Mhehemmmhehe! Mheheheme!
The Pink Panther car keeps coming to my head when i see this.
I agree, but from what I've seen, this handles better than the Pink Panther car!
@@IanM18 hahahaha so true.
I'm guessing she's gonna need tires pretty soon too! Another great adventure Mustie, Happy Mother's Day to all our moms
Darren’s little laugh always makes me smile . We get the feeling we’re doing the work .
You don’t stop playing because you get old , you get old because you stop playing, fantastic toy well done from a 59 year old boy 😀👏👏😀
Good afternoon fellow Mustie1 fans everywhere, from sunny 😎 Lincolnshire, UK 🇬🇧

Good afternoon from Bristol uk
This has to be the greatest go-kart in the history of the world
Bunch of old men playing like kids!! I love it and I’m totally jealous.
Well done, I honestly think you are going to need a flex joint in that exhaust it will fatigue over time and probably pull the exhaust studs out of the engine as you can see the engine moving around and the exhaust id solid mounted.
@@stew6338 I wonder if Mustie could make the lower exhaust mounts flexible? Cos that engine is gonna be moving all the time!
Glad to see I’m not the only one who thought of that….
@@nevillegoddard4966 yeah that would be a good idea. Small exhaust hangers at the bottom. I also think it still needs a flex joint up the top as the length of the exhaust will have a lot of leverage on the top mounting. I have seen ride on mowers with these same issues I am refering too.

Who needs the Northern Lights when Mustie provides us Open Exhaust lights! Happy Sunday all! And Happy Moms day to any watching
To the little Kid in all of us. Great video !

There’s nothing better than seeing several “men” of a certain age giggling away and playing with toys 😁👍😊
Sounds great
I think everyone needs one... old guys dreams come true....
Hard to imagine today's kids having as much fun as yesterday's kids as we see here.
its only hard to imagine because you can't imagine it. They have just as much fun as you did.
What a turn around, saved it for more years of fun
I would love to see that thing on a go kart track!
This is going to be one your most viewed videos. So much fun, brightens our day.

Thankfully, you can never take the boy out of the man. That baby is awesome!!!

Turning off all the lights to see flames shoot out of the open exhaust is so juvenile. I LOVE IT!
Your idea for the exhaust is fabulous. Thanks.
Musty this was one of the best videos I ever watched I'm 68 and it brings back memories Houston building mini bikes and had two go-karts at my uncle's
When your friend entered the fray, it was like a sausage trying to get back into the casing. Loved it. Narragansett Bay
Rupp products have been responsible for more "kid" fun than maybe any other brand. Love it.
Just spit my beer out when you pulled the burnout. It was worth the effort. Thank you for sharing your wonderful video.
I cant stop seeing Stewart little the mouse when you guys are driveing this thing😂
What a hoot! I'll bet you couldn't wipe the smile off of anyone who gets to drive it!

1:17:50 - Reminds me when Herman Munster fishtailed a hopped-up go-kart up-and-down the street spewing sparks out the back. Hilarious!
66 year old me is jealous! That looks like fun. I actually have the "full size" version of this, a 69 red Corvette convertible. 👍👍
Every time I see one of these projects I fully expect his next to be filmed in a full body cast.
Im 71, and I love this project.super cool. Thanks. Happy Mother's Day.
It’s scary how well you fit in that thing. Like someone made it for you😌👌
beautiful go cart, but that black rag top Ghia is the most beautiful car I have ever seen. love it.
I want that orange 914!
Yea. That Ghia looks nice.
that's the sickest go-kart i ever seen...
So many big kids. Its amazing what can bring a bunch of grown men so much pleasure.
Daren, you’re going to be a hit at the next car show 👍🇺🇸
Kids don't grow up,,,,,They just get older. I was laughing right there with you. Many Thanks!

this isn't it. there is a tilt over switch on the predator motors. he just need to bypass it. he is triggering it in the turns.
Classic Americana...Mustie this make me a little nostalgic...If you could see yourself bro...haha...love this project!
