My friends whom are senior dispatchers in GA always complain why many takes low rates in GA . I was offered 1.45 and 1.5 i refused i DH to Nashville and got big rate to KS and then to MN. It all depends on individual overhead though. But i am not taking shitty rates like some takes in GA. Enough bread for everyone so far we can grind .

I’m hearing this same stuff from other Carriers.. Which sucks! I always ask my carriers their expenses etc. Communication is key! People don’t ask the right questions at all! Sorry you had to experience that
4 months strong, booked every load my self. Sometimes 4-5k a week sometimes 6-8k a week. A straight dispatcher book you anything a dispatcher working for a brokerage will book book you for pennies.
Get your cdl b class And if you get your lady or family member to dispatch for you Keep the money in the family dispatching service as a whole other company I'm in the process of teaching my lady how to work for me look for me so we can keep the ball rolling
Great video and valid points. As a dispatcher, I ask what amount do you need to benefit your business? I look at the loading board and I know that these amounts are ridiculous and there is no way I would expect anyone to move for the amount I see.
Probably a factoring company which pays 2,3, or 5 days, ….or he waits roughly 30 days for the shipper or receiver to deposit money into his bank account
Am glad you personally felt this yourself. You see I was telling you weeks ago, those dispatchers are good but not all the best for long terms. I haven't done less than $2.2 per mile in over 6 weeks. Lowest was 1.95 with DH . I even did 3.3 last week over 400 miles . It's possible, just the finesse( negotiation matters) part we need . Dispatcher wants to get truck rolling not minding the rate if it make sense to/for your overheads.

I get confused on videos like this a lot. I been dispatching myself for months but i do have dispatchers still that send me loads daily. However, they bring me the load and i ask how much i want for the load. I give them what always equals 2.5 lowest to 3.5 a mile. If i broker denies, then the broker denies it. I’m already looking at the same time on my own. I just don’t get the whole i fired my dispatcher convo. Now, i just tell them im booked or if they have something really good, i’ll take it
A dispatcher doesn't have your best interest, they won't negotiate more money, they're cancelling loads behind your back, put in the work now and you will benefit at the end
Sounds to me like you need to start your own in house dispatch center with people that you've trained to know all of these things. You can either take a cut of their proceeds from dispatching other drivers, OR use the revenue from the other drivers to offset the percentage you have to pay them for your own dispatches. Use your youtube platform to attract new dispatch clients. I know I'd be one, assuming the rates were fair.
How do the driver drove all this mile when he haven't pick up yet, TQL load ($3100) is picking up tomorrow and if he drop on Monday it would be one week, say you make after you pocket it not on transit, by the way if you putting out there the rate com put it a less that other can read it because blurry isn't proof

Get in with Amazon bro. You book your own loads and when and when your have early access on the load board you can book all your loads ahead of time so you already know your schedule. I made 6k in 1 week and I only worked 5 days and I was back home on the last day. Everything was 2.50/mile or more and I only spend 1500$ on diesel every week maybe 1700$. But never 2k

With that being said your dispatcher calling you at 10am asking you about a load or him paying attention to his others clients didn't just happen overnight. With those 30 days plus you were on the road and made over 30 grand I'm sure it was couple of days he called you late or you felt that you weren't his priority. No small fleet owner can pay a driver hourly. It's a personal decision but it ranges from 20-25% of gross ..Some few people does 27-30%.
