Hat off to Mr. Trapp. He runs his business like a pro period. Many box truck drivers trying to save money by sleeping in their own trucks which is a huge DOT violation especially if a State Trooper ask you for a hotel receipt and you can't provide any. You will be forced to shutdown for 11 hours which will dent your company safety rating. A few more of those, you won't be able to get any loads because every broker will turn you down. Hell..You Guy's seem to NOT be able to get as Many Loads without a Dispatcher in Play somehow so their WORTH to the Transportation Industry isn't going ANYWHERE!!! Nice!
@@getatum1914 I wouldn’t say it is hard but definitely is challenging. I prefer being a driver over dispatch because that works for me . Dispatching is convenient when you have kids & other businesses. But as a former dispatcher I rather drive because you will find drivers that wants to pay you under 10% … they don’t understand the back office work & expenses you have to cover as being a dispatcher… on top of negotiating the best rates so their overhead is covered before paying me … you’ll find pros & cons but choose what works for you.
Im in California. Omg, they make it impossible to start up a business. You need so much licensing. For the license, for example, MCP “motor carrier permit” (Not mc) you need insurance just to get this permit to deliver freight in California. Then you have to wait 30-90 days for them to approve you. So basically, you need a truck to get insurance. So you’ll have a truck and insurance and you cant work for 30-90 days unless you have your mc to do interstate. Also a lot of insurance companies dont insure start ups. They want you to have a year authority. I found one. Its like 17k a year, 3700 down and i have a perfect driving record, crazy.
i knew this transportation stuff had money in it when i was looking into becoming an owner operator and a company was offering me 250k a year i seen some opportunities to make 700 a day with the box truck im thinking of tapping into it so i can flucuate between this and my investments
Good stuff! Since there's been a shortage of Truck Drivers, this area of business has been a compromise for many companies, and it's a business that's scalable.
Progressive is crazy high. Check out aic insurance. I paid 2k down and 1150 a month. For 2022 freightliner 26' box truck. And my credit socks but no accidents or tickets
Driving to a job 5-6 days a week, 45 minute to an hour each way till you're old, then they replace you. Then you get crap for social security and have to use that money for healthcare. You should be asking yourself, how is that profitable.

This video was so helpful!!!! Thank you so much!

You're welcome. Glad it was helpful! Thanks for tuning in Sheila!!
You ask great questions Shawn
Thank you Eric!
what kind of camera did you shoot this with?
What about a 22-foot box truck?
Im in California. Omg, they make it impossible to start up a business. You need so much licensing. For the license, for example, MCP “motor carrier permit”
(Not mc) you need insurance just to get this permit to deliver freight in California.
Thank you for the information. Man I've been hearing they move differently out in Cali. Just didn't know it was this hard. Sheesh!!
Move to Texas like your major California corporations are doing.
Very inspiring. Thanks 👍
Yw!!
Can you operate under someone else’s MC, DOT, & Authority while ur waiting on yours to become active?
Yes.
i knew this transportation stuff had money in it
when i was looking into becoming an owner operator and a company was offering me 250k a year
i seen some opportunities to make 700 a day with the box truck
im thinking of tapping into it so i can flucuate between this and my investments
Good stuff! Since there's been a shortage of Truck Drivers, this area of business has been a compromise for many companies, and it's a business that's scalable.

@@KingsDrivewayBuilds Wow!! Will check it out!
Where did you get your truck from?. Stuck here with no truck.
Gas prices are 5 and 6 dollars a gallon. How is driving trucks profitable now?
Driving to a job 5-6 days a week, 45 minute to an hour each way till you're old, then they replace you. Then you get crap for social security and have to use that money for healthcare. You should be asking yourself, how is that profitable.
