Outsourcing benefits the company not the consumer. It takes away potential US based jobs outside our community. I’m all for reducing costs and increasing one’s bottom line, but to the point where it hurts our community.
Yes mam, i understand from a business decision that this would be a cost effective option..but i also believe business has areas that pay back in a certain way, when ethos is applied correctly.

People worried about him outsourcing? Every major company from transportation to clothing outsources overseas it provides a larger profit margin. I’m a driver myself and I’m getting ready to lease my own truck in the next 6 months and aim to do exactly what he is doing. This man is a local success story yet people find anyway to downplay his success. If I could have this man as a mentor I would cherish the things he could teach me. The technical name for this guy's business model. Is called " ASSET LIGHT " . He's not heavy in Asset Holdings fleet of 20 trucks. Once you hit 9-10 Trucks your considered a fleet by the insurance companies. The 150 Trucks under his dispatch management. Basically gives him a fleet of a 170 trucks but without all of the Expenses. It's a good model any one could duplicated in many ways.....
He telling some lies as well. I have been on trucking for 5 years and I would never tell someone to lease. You will find yourself paying 2 and half times what the truck is worth
Hey so I just started my own authority and my fiance has had his company for 12 years at one point running 13 trucks but some unfortunate circumstances happened and he knows my vision so we started our new company.. So basically cozy up to the load brokers find ppl who need loads.. tax them for profit.. make enough profit take the operation to India to make more profit.
this was a great talk by the host and guest speaker. a lot of his advice can be applied to life experiences and business practices outside of trucking . And yes Demarco is a humble spirit that was so human. but listening to his life experiences prepped him for the variable trucking related innovations and developments that he spoke on. thank you for sharing.
Problem I see is this will seal the fate of the middle class in the states with all this outsourcing. Eventually it will be the serfs outside the castle ready to eat the King.
I agree but you can never learn too much. I started as a logistics analyst and became an owner operator. Like with everything else, there's never anything that you "can go without learning" in the business world. Too smart to learn something is plain stupid.
I like the info, except for going to another country and hiring people from India. He just helped out the other guys people and not his own. But I do appreciate the information.
Buying truck makes total sense only when you have solid reliable contract with guaranteed loads like DOD for instance. Leasing truck is also risky because you have to make payments no matter what.
I'm a dispatcher/fleet manager.. I dispatched/booked lot of loads for those owner operators trucks in the US, but I havent get any percent of those loads I booked.. I just earned $500 a month for salary coz my company I worked with now was out outsource.. sad reallity the owner gots lots of money and dont care for us..
Learned some things here but consider this. Being a new owner operator, leasing would not have been in my best interest to start. There are fees associated with compliance, running costs, as well as foreseen and unforeseen maintenance. You will still be responsible for all aforementioned aspects with a lease or major financing on a 50k plus truck. He said the load boards dry up, you still have to make that payment, regardless. If you own your first truck(s), your business doesn’t have to start out in debt with payment terms locking you in for up to a year or more.
It’s all about a persons financial stability some may not have the funds to just go buy a truck so they have to do what they gotta do to make things happen!!
Great interview, there were so many golden nuggets offered that I felt bad in not paying a consultation fee. Preparing the launch my logistics company. I will be in touch. Thanks for the inspiration and revelation to the transportation industry.
Why not do the same thing by investing in Dispacter Back Office in GHANA and TOGO ( West Africa ) and target the US and CANADA Market because there are Hard Workers there who Master English and French fluently.

20 - 30k is not enough to go out and get you a truck and start your business?? Obviously this brotha already had a lucrative amount money in the bank before he started... you don’t need 100k in the bank to start .the majority of people don’t have that kind of money sitting around and turned out very successful in this business ...there’s so many holes is this story ...but I appreciate his info and happy for your success
It just depends on how you go about it. Ppl have started with 8k-30k and are doing fine. There are 100 ways to get started. Ppl have different amounts of support and connections. It can be done

I know a lot of people who bought used trucks and they are doing great they are the ones who taught me about trucking. Just save your money for everything you’re going to need to operate your truck like breakdown maintenance tires motor transmission everything it’s going to take a while and a lot of discipline but it’s very possible and happens everyday. How are you going to own something if you’re constantly making payments and the interest rates are through the roof. Then on top of that he outsourced the job. I just started a trucking company and baby when I say I was so afraid. It is such unfamiliar territory for me. I did a lot of research and I know a lot of drivers and dispatchers. I seen it was a male dominated industry and it intimidated me a bit. I realized that being a woman in this industry has its perks too. 3 percent is a keeper. I would sign my truck on to his company
But he could be lying to you though?
This was amazing. Him speaking was so soothing and calming.
I agree honestly I fast forward the part where he spoke about outsourcing to India
This is the best video i have seen so far on how to start and scale a trucking business yes you have to manage people and processes if you can manage people the right way you will be headed for disaster this video has the best advice i have heard thanks for posting this video
This video is enough in itself to help anyone trying to get into the business. Thank you for this video
How’s it going with getting that truck bro? Hope all is well

Currently work for a big produce company called Delmonte. Made very good connections here, going to be subleasing trucks to them + drivers. thanks

Those indian guys are smart when it comes to this trucking business, I dont understand why a lot of American truckers don't like them
Because they don't pay the worker
Problem I see is this will seal the fate of the middle class in the states with all this outsourcing. Eventually it will be the serfs outside the castle ready to eat the King.
@Shooby Dobie That's called tribalism, partly why some groups don't succeed. Particularly why some groups do.
Yea it’s more easy for them they don’t have to pay taxes

I agree but you can never learn too much. I started as a logistics analyst and became an owner operator. Like with everything else, there's never anything that you "can go without learning" in the business world. Too smart to learn something is plain stupid.

He’s very successful in the field so I’m going to listen to him
"Exit Scrategy. Then you buy a truck" get outta that"
That's a quote from this video.

@@udob4939 Certainly interested in learning about your experience buying your first truck. Can you elaborate on it, or I can message you personally.
All of our companies outsourced and when the pandemic hit we couldn’t get medical supplies because the company that makes them was outsourced.
