    alexentrucking?...
Andrew has been overcoming adversity his entire life. From being the victim of a kidnapping as a child growing up in New York City to contemplating suicide as a young entrepreneur, he never gives up, always finding the “loophole!” willing to go above and beyond to win.
Today the former pre-med student owns 15 Trucks, paid for in cash, and runs a successful multi million dollar local trucking operation. We went to visit Andrew at his warehouse and got to learn about his journey to success in the last 2 1/2 years and all the failures that proceeded along the way.

I am a newbie. I am so glad this young man spoke slowly, precisely, and repetitively unlike prior CEOs you interviewed. It allowed me, a female who has no interest in the trucking (my nephew does) industry, to understand the pros & cons to this business. He provided so many gems that newbies would benefit from. This was the best interview yet. He should write a book.

I greatly appreciate this video. I am a 60 year old man who has been driving with my wife for more than 10 years.
We have always been company drivers until last year when we bought our “dream truck”. It’s a 2015 Cascadia with the DD15 in it. Not the best choice of engines for sure. It’s definitely cost us but we are hanging in there with the same testicular fortitude as this young man.

Just when I thought that your interviews couldn't get any better, this one took the cake. I was riveted listening to his story from beginning to end! You're a great interviewer because you allow people to tell their stories the way they're going to tell their stories. This brother dropped so much knowledge! And beyond that I was just captivated by his whole story. He had all the right elements of a hero's journey: the times of despair that led to great hope in triumph, the villains and the loyal teammates, there was even a kidnapping!
Your podcast is so very vital in not only the trucking industry but to showcase black excellence and other minorities in trucking who are not visible and who would never get to tell their stories for the world to hear. Thank you for all you do. And this interview was 🔥

🤠🤠🤠 I became an owner operator in 1996 and quickly grey into a fleet by 2002. The secret to our success is because we hauled house hold goods for North American Van Lines and the profits were substantial. In 2003 I made the mistake of forgetting why my company had grown so fast and went out and bought 4 reefers as well as got my authority. My truck was the only one that remained in the House Hold Goods Business because I loved it. By 2009 I had lost my fleet to all the problems the young man explained in the video, and decided that the only way to build a business was by starting a local moving business which I did with one straight truck and by renting trucks when needed. That business grew in leaps and bounds and when we had a long distance move I did it in my semi while I-was still leased on to the Van Lines. I would not recommend getting a fleet of trucks hauling Ģeneral freight as the chances of succeeding in that market is very low. So many things can go wrong. Today I own 4 straight trucks for local moves and one tractor trailer which I lease on to Atlas Van lines. On days when we have too many local moves beyond our capacity we rent the trucks. Thank you for the video.

100% on the money. I come from software engineering from a state university. And my field is very hard to fing a good paying job. Trucking seems like a solution but not my own authority hauling freight like you said. I want to to intrastate and in state heavey hauling of construction equipment, hige HVAC units, and anything thats big and heavenly. What do you think can I make money moving heavy equipment? Thanks.

Please let him know that we are trying very hard to reach him and that his landlord has my contact information. He may not know he is being sued as the attorneys are being provided by his insurance company. They need his assistance defending him and while may be trying to avoid being served it won't matter in the long run because his insurance has been served and eventually the court will let the trial proceed and he will still be liable for any amount above his coverage amount. Please get this message to him. Thank you!

This was sooo dope and sooooo needed.I have a similar story that hasn't turned good yet. 1 year in the trucking business and its been all bad. Took me a year to get a truck but I bought it from a shop that works on trucks so I though i was good. Wrong...2 weeks after i get the truck the fuel injectors go out $5k in the hole. Get that fixed a month later the engine goes out. The shop i bought the truck from says they can get me a rebuilt one for $4200. Cool, get that done.1 month later the transmission goes out. When it goes out its the driver first day in the truck so I look real bad. I havent driven this truck 200 miles yet. Truck breaks down in the middle of nowhere and i get it towed to a shop but i dont have any money to fix it. I start gettting calls about i need to do something with this truck but I am out of money. After about 6 weeks I reach out to the driver, who is now running under me in a rental, if he could loan me the money to fix the truck. The driver actually offers to help me pay to get the truck fixed, just pay him back. Cool.....but the shop its at is some bs shop that has way more trucks in it than mechanics and my truck sits there for about 4 months.5 months of making no money but paying insurance and everything else and the truck is finally fixed. Another $6K down. 3 weeks later rebuilt motor goes out. Take it to Freight Liner and they say to get everything fixed is $13k. I dont got it. My driver has a partner who will pay to fix the truck but they will only fix the truck if they can buy it. At this point i have no other choice. Its been almost a year and I haven't made a single dollar and im about $40k down. I want to give up but I wont throw in the towel just yet. This is just soo inspirational imma keep going, maybe in a year or 2 i can be on here to tell my story.

There are pros and cons to both used and new trucks. Leasing from a dealership affords you warranty on critical components, less break downs on average and better fuel economy and safety systems. Used trucks offer a quick plug and play yet you will suffer from the risk lacking the latest safety systems, fuel economy and overall reliability.

His father did the right thing. He was young and spoiled by mom, but his love for a lot of money and the lifestyle of having it, kept him going. His cousin saw something in him, he didn't see. I did not understand why he didn't learn diesel mechanics or get his CDL so he would know more about his own business. The Filipino woman was another big blessing for him and he did her right. Long story short, he took a long time to learn, but he did. He's definitely long winded.

What he did in 3 years 99% of guys in the business couldn’t do in a lifetime. Truck N Hustle didn’t deserve this interview and he knows it. This guy is built way different than the usual opportunist he’s accustomed to.

This is a true journey of what trucking success is. I was intrigued because EVERYTHING he spoke on is exactly what I’m experiencing with a new trucking business, and it wasn’t the end result and dollar amount, but the truth BEHIND a the monetary success that others have failed to share. I am also in healthcare starting a trucking business. Every point is spot on! But one must BELIEVE IN THEIR VISION!!! I’m truly inspired!

Andrew's faith in the Lord Jesus and his willingness to share that fact has caused blessings from above to pour into his life and business. Don't give up when you walk through the desserts of this life. Instead, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lead not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and he will direct your paths. Go with God, Andrew!
