Steel vengeance fanboy I can see that
Yeah thought it was Called journey to the center of the earth
Journey to the center of the earth is forbidden journey CONFIRMED
@4-D Legend Colorado forbidden journey is at universal
@4-D Legend Colorado yes but that text was FOR forbidden journey, guess he didn't change the text
Dinosaur gets a lot of hate from the community because it’s always compared to Indy at Disneyland; but I love it, it’s a great fit for Animal Kingdom!
AMagicProduction for me, it just needs a good update. It feels too old and outdated. If they renovated it, I am sure it would find a place here.
Agreed, it's massively underrated.
It needs some serious work. Itching needs to be more interesting and they need to change the story and the pre-show. Also, the comparison to Indiana Jones is inevitable and it really can't compete with Indiana Jones (especially when it comes to the queue line.)
It IS great but I can't understand for the love of god why it's so insanely dark. To my eyes at least most of the time it's just black.
They’re not going to make it, they’re not going to make it....... YOU MADE IT!!!! I knew you would...
Here's my top 3:
1. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
2. Radiator Springs Racers
3. The Amazing Adventures of Spider-man
Nah, it’s 1. Winnie the Pooh (Tokyo) 2. Winnie the Pooh (Florida). 3. Winnie the Pooh (Anaheim)
Hqfirebolt 100% agree, that’s not option it’s facts
I want to ride rise of the risistance so bad
3:33 when you can't understand Dutch
symbolica 12th: it hurts, ive ridden it about 10 times now
I've had the luck of riding Mystic Manor at Disneyland Hong Kong in 2016, which was my only trackless darkride before Symbolica. I had my expectations so high for Symbolica, that I left a bit dissapointed. Symbolica felt just a little too cringy for me. But it sure is an amazing darkride! just a bit cringy...
@@therealinfernape4720 How is it cringy? That's really not the right word there
@@therealinfernape4720 Cringy? What is cringy about Symbolica?
@@dutchshark1580 "Alle tovertwinkels" "wat, zijn er problemen? Gebruik je fantasie!!"
My toes curl when I think about lines like these from Pardoes.
@@therealinfernape4720 “Alle tovertwinkels” I understand, but what is wrong with those other lines
Is the walls actually stretching? Or is it your imagination?
How to find a way out?
Well there’s always my way.......
I am your host. Your GHOST. Host.
It is an Otis Elevator, So I guess they do stretch.
Some random Artist Shut up foolish mortal.
Best ride in the world!
@@roxynano ok M'lord
I also have a huge soft spot for Monster Mansion and 100% support its inclusion here
I wouldn't put it above Haunted Mansion but it is seriously underrated. One of the best rides in the park for sure.
Pirates of the Caribbean at Shanghai Disneyland is absolutely amazing and would have placed in the top 5. My jaw was dropped the entire time!
Also I agree that Rise of the Resistance should be #1, that experience is unbelievable!
RIP Tomb Raider: The Ride at (Paramounts) Kings Island.
That ride was so well done when it was working to it’s potential
Not really a dark ride though
@@emonadeo agreed, more of an indoor flat ride.
I think Dinosaur at Animal Kingdom is very underrated. One of my personal favorites.
Did you really just not include Mine of Lost Souls from Canobie Lake Park?
Liam Ryan never rode it!
Liam Ryan ikr unbelievable
Evan yowell HMRMPH!?!
Canobie Lake is one of my 2 home parks and I also never rode it
R.I.P Curse of DarKastle. If it was still here, it would definitely make the list!
I rode Monster Mansion last year when I visited Six Flags Over Georgia for the first time. Man that thing is so weird and funny! Indiana Jones at Disneyland is one of my all time favorite rides. So well done!
I would really be curious to see where Mystic Manor at Hong Kong Disneyland would go for you. It absolutely blew me away, and I loved the original story that went with it, which a big part of why it's my favorite Disney attraction in the entire chain.
-Gary
Coasting with Culture I remembered getting scared of that ride lol when I was 8
It was the same for me with the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland when I was about the same age.
Coasting with Culture Rise blows it out of the water.
@@alexanderjacob1008 Rise is an excellent ride, and I liked that it had all the detail and extra surprises in the queue. But there's something about Mystic that I just like better. Probably that the storyline is unique, and I think a little bit of it was that I had kind of built up Rise to be something more than it was for the actual ride portion. I did only ride it once though where as I was able to ride Mystic Manor multiple times, so I could catch more details with each ride. Maybe a few more rides on Rise in the future and I'll change my tune.
Again, it's an excellent ride, but personally I prefer Mystic Manor.
-Gary
Rise of the Resistance puts the theme in theme park.
Spider-Man puts the amusement in amusement park.
Just saying, Tokyo’s Indiana Jones Ride predates the crystal skull film by about 7 years
I know, but Taylor said the ride is based on Kingdom of the Crystal Skull when it wasn't
i have only been on 1 ride on this list, Radiator Springs Racers
Monster Mansion is wonderfully weird and awesome.
You should make a top 15 family roller coasters list, that would be interesting
DisneySea's Indiana Jones isn't actually themed to Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. I believe the ride opened in 2005 and the movie came out in 2008 - It was just a coincidence that the names were so similar.
Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull opened up in 2001 with Tokyo DisneySea. Yeah it opened long before the movie came out and the only thing they share is the name.
I'm glad Monster Mansion made the list!
I absolutely LOVE a good dark ride. I put Monster Mansion as my third favorite ride at SFOG (and that's one spot ahead of Goliath.) I'm actually surprised you didn't mention DarKastle for personal reasons even though it's defunct.
Here's my ranking (never been on a dark ride in Europe and I haven't been to Asia. Also haven't gotten to Galaxy's Edge yet.) I'm including defunct rides so just remove those if you don't think they count.
1) Haunted Mansion (I mean, come on. It's still the best IMO.)
2) Forbidden Journey
3) Tower of Terror (I still count it)
4) The Great Movie Ride
5) Splash Mountain (it's mostly a dark ride)
6) Indiana Jones Adventure
7) Pirates of the Caribbean
8) Spaceship Earth
9) Maelstrom
10) Horizons
11) Radiator Springs Racers
12) Flight of Passage (I know youth split this list)
13) Soarin'
14) It's a Small World
15) Jungle Cruise
Yes, I've been to a lot of non-Disney parks as well but what can I say? I'm a fan.
I think horizons deserves a higher spot on the list
Sixflags over Georgia is my home park and Monster Mansion will change your life😅 Definently a weird darkride
I agree with everything and every spot on the list. Superb video my friend!
Radiator springs racers has some good airtime on the hills near the end of it
So incredibly happy to see Monster Mansion on this list. Did not see that coming 😂
My top 3:
1- Rise of the Resistance
2- Amazing Adventures of Spiderman
3- Dinosaur
In my opinion, Dinosaur is an underrated dark ride, is so much fun!
Yes, Finally a ride at my home park makes it onto a Top 10 list, I mean top 15. I am talking about Six Flags Over Georgia btw.
Number 11 looks like it came right out of a Dr. Seuss book
Note: I haven't ridden many of the rides on your list, but for me:
1) Pirates Of The Caribbean (Disneyland Paris specifically)
2) Hex (Alton Towers)
3) Wallace and Gromit Thrill O Matic (Blackpool Pleasure Beach)
4) Test Track (Epcot)
5) Toy Story Midway Mania (Hollywood Studios)
6) Duel (Alton Towers)
7) Dinosaur (Animal Kingdom)
8) Phantom Manor/Haunted Mansion (Disneyland Paris/Magic Kingdom)
9) Remi's Ratatouille Adventure (Disneyland Paris)
10) The Haunting (Drayton Manor)
I don’t know why but I’ve always had a soft spot for The Cat In the Hat ride in IOS. I don’t know why but it just grew on me
15: I haven't rode this, but it looks fun.
14: Haven't rode this, but I really want to.
13: I have been on this, and while I prefer Spider-Man, this is a fun ride for when you just want to cool off.
12: Haven't rode this. I want to, but I doubt I will be riding this anytime soon.
11: Haven't rode this, but it looks like a fun ride.
10: Haven't rode this. The Kong animatronic looks awesome, but I'm unsure about how I'd feel about how it mostly relies upon the screen tunnel..
9: Yo ho yo ho, a pirate's life for me! One of the best in the world ever since it opened so long ago.
8: You gotta love the 999 happy haunts.
7: Haven't rode this, but I have been on Dinosaur.
6: I mostly know of this thanks to Defunctland. I'd recommend looking at the video on their channel focusing on "Tales of the Okefenokee," it's quite interesting.
5: I do want to get on this.
4: Spider Man is a pure classic. I wonder how Disney's take on a Spider-Man ride will compare, but I doubt it will outright destroy the original.
3: Your listing is broken. That being said, I want to get on this someday.
2. I have been on this, and it's probably one of my favorite dark rides.
1. Have not been on this, but I really want to at some point. Problem is that the crowds refuse to die down, and Disney is already expensive (seriously. I could go to Busch Gardens for a day and do everything there twice before I could get on all the highlight rides at Disney, and at nearly half the price)
I LOVE the Haunted Mansion Disney parks! I’m also huge fan of Test Track. Epcot has always been my favorite Disney park, so I may be biased, but I love it! This list is great!
Where would Justice League: Battle For Metropolis rank at? Top 20?
Username checks out
its such a good ride..........sfgadv is my home park
Great list!
I was not expecting a dark ride from my home park, Six Flags over Georgia, to be on here XD
Rise is absolutely jaw dropping. I was lucky enough to ride it a month ago at Disneyland. Let me say something to anyone who’s only seen RUclips videos of Rise: video does not do it justice. Not even a little bit. There is no LED light glow from the screens because they aren’t screens (at least most of them). The audio is next level, there’s wind and practical effects, there’s a movie soundtrack that seamlessly follows you on your journey. It’s on another level.
Meow Wolf was supposed to be opening a huge interactive walk through attraction in Vegas. It was scheduled to open about now, but obviously it's delayed. When it does open I think its going to be beyond cool! Great video, and stay safe everyone!
1. The shed on mystic timbers...
No one ever talks about Pinocchio. I don’t know why but I just love it more than I should.
I feel like you could make a dark ride that’s a trillion dollars and it wouldn’t be nearly as good as Pirates of the Caribbean or Haunted Mansion
Good video! You should do a top water ride video! Great idea haha
That Meow Wolf Ride reminds me of robotripping...
Surprised Test Track didn't make the cut. More surprised you didn't notice the glaring differences between the Pirates of the Caribbeans
You could do this with shooting rides .Great Video
Thanks for the spoiler warning about RotR. Maybe it's foolish to try to avoid spoilers for an amusement park ride, and one that I have no idea when I'll be able to ride, but I am, so I really appreciate that you did that. Classy.
Great video it’s always cool to look at dark rides keep it up 👍🏻

Awkward silence
Went to Disney CA a few years ago. Rise broke down as soon as we got in the cars. I was around 58 at the time and am a large Black guy. I was so messed up, a Japanese kid from the other side of the room let go of his fathers hand and came and took mine.
I'd love to see a list of classic haunted dark rides. Without Disney and Universal entries too. I'm talking old school stuff.
You should List Top 10 Shooting Dark Rides as another list.
Or Mr. Toad's Wild Ride? Just the end of this one makes it a top 10.
No Revenge of the Mummy? That is one intense indoor dark ride!
I think he wasn't counting coasters with dark ride elements as dark rides per se.
First and foremost, that is a roller coaster. Yes it features dark ride sections, but it would be unfair in my opinion to include it in this video.
Do a top 15 drop towers!
Big fan of your channel. Keep up the great work. I would love to see more lists from you like this. I always have trouble when ranking rides on a combined basis, park to park from rollercoasters to dark rides. I love all of them.
i absolutely love this list. the ONLY thing i would change is swap first and second place. even after riding rise of the resistance very recently, forbidden journey still remains my number 1!
Keep up the good editing!!!
My top 5...
1. Pirates at Shanghai Disneyland
2. Mystic Manor at Hong Kong Disneyland
3. Pooh's Hunny Hunt at Tokyo Disneysea
4. Harry Potter at Universal Studios Japan (I give it the edge because of the dark lake).
5. Sinbad at Tokyo Disneysea (there is just something so quirky about it that I love).
Yes I have been on Star Wars in Florida and was very underwhelmed, probably because it was so overhyped and my expectations were just too high... although I did like the transporter ship effect.
You’re trippin. My expectations were astronomical and rise took a big poop all over them. I’ll venture to say RoTR may be the best dark ride of our lifetime.
Can’t believe Exit Sign: the Ride didn’t make it
I thought about putting it in as a joke lol
the mummy is like awesome
I thought skull island was really boring except for the Que
Coronavirus cancelled my school trip to Disneyland and then the week we were supposed to be there I had this dream where I rode Rise of the Resistance and it wasn't as good as everybody said it was, honestly I think that was my subconscious's way of coping with not being able to ride :(
RIP my favorite ever dark ride, The Great Movie Ride 😞😞
Symbolica has a storyline behind it. It’s just that it’s not in English which makes many people misunderstand the whole ride. The story of Symbolica is all about visiting king Pardulfus, who lives in Hartenhof (court of hearts). While the visitors await their audience with the king, a character called Pardoes (a jester who is Efteling's main mascot) appears. Pardoes then guides the visitors through hidden parts of the palace. That’s why the stairs open too.
I rode 20,000 leagues at disneysea! It was awesome!
I miss Scooby Doo and the mystery of the scary swamp at Six flags St. Louis. Was one of my favorite dark rides
Air Time Hill me too! That was my home park and when I was little and still too scared for bigger rides I’d just ride that and Mine Train alllll day lol
The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man is probably my favorite theme park attraction of all time, save for a few roller coasters. It's an absolute masterpiece. Rise and especially Forbidden Journey don't even come close to it for me. Indiana Jones does, though.
Hershey Chocolate World... They even feed you! That shoulda made it an easy top 10! lol
You should countdown the best shooting rides
Kind of surprised that Hex at Alton towers didn’t make the list
I wanted to see Calico mine ride here:(
dang monster mansion? SFOG is my home park, but idk about it being above haunted mansion
Rise of the resistance broke down and I was right at the door to enter the first show building and I waited over an HOUR to get on it. WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
garfield’s nightmare
Thankfully they are redoing it as the Old Mill for 2020. Bye bye Garfield!
Forbidden Journey got a damn nice refurbishment.
taylor, this is great and all but i think you forgot about fast and furious supercharged
Need a full recreation of that forbidden Journey lol. That was gold. Also you should make a list for shootemups as well
Universal Orlandos Revenge of The Mummy better be on here or im rioting
Symbolica should indeed be higher up in your list! The Efteling created this darkride with a budget of only 42 million euro's, while Disneyland Paris spent more than 200 million dollars on Ratatouille! (Which doesn't have solar cells on the roof?) And what about Fata Morgana and Droomvlucht?? Didn't you enjoy those?
OMG YAAAAAS MONSTER MANSION! "You're invited! To a picnic! Monster picnic where humans are allowed!"
Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude The Monster Mansion at Six Flags over Georgia (formally known as The Monster Plantation ::controversial:: AND formally formally known as the Okefenokee Swamp Boat Ride) IS one of the best dark rides on the planet INDEED! This is a VERY special ride, literally to all that ride it because for one, it's absolutely the most random unexpected whack-a-doodle acid trip of a twisted Jim Henson back studio rejected made for TV movie that was cancelled due to COVID-19 experience you ever dreamed possible and couldn't possibly hate on it if you tried because OMG YOU'RE IN AIR CONDITIONED MONSTER MARSHY HEAVEN after spending hours of your day outside melting under that ATLANTA haute sun.
I recall the FIRST time I was introduced to the monsters living in that old haunted looking southern mansion. It was 1989 and I was 5 years old. Having survived my FIRST rollercoaster, the BRUTAL and AGGRESSIVE Dahlonega Mine Train (yes, those hard seats plus my 5 year old head smashing into it over and over and over resulted in tears BUT once I conquered it, I pushed down and pulled up those bars into a life of new found enthusiasm. NOW OFF TO THE MONSTER HOUSE WE GO I AM READY MOTHERRRRRRRR!
Or so I thought.
All was fine and dandy in the happy land of happy monsters, but no one said a THING about being THRUST into every 5 year olds worst monster nightmare ever come to life after taking a wrong turn into the MARSH THAT THE SHERRIF CLEARLY TELLS YOU TO "STAY OUT OF"!!!! WFT! I remember crying WORSE that the Mine Train and saying to my mom, "Mommyyyyyyy I wanna goooo homeeeeee" to which she happily replied,
"OK!" (my brothers and I were a handful back then)
Of course, once we escaped safely out the anus of the monster that eats you at the end, I was LIVINGGGGGGGGG for that ride! And to this DAY, it's a literal MANDATORY REQUIREMENT to ride it every time you go to the park. I mean the Kissing Booth monster?! THAT HOE IS THE BIGGEST HOOCHIE ON THE PLANET and I make the same smooching sounds as her when I get to kissing anyone LOL
Does my story get better?! YES IT DOES. As an enthusiast, I actually worked at Six Flags over Georgia for the 2003 season while I was starting my second year in college BECAUSE Dejavu had just opened and being one of it's FIRST riders, I WAS OBSESSED and went there to work at DEJAVU only, quickly became operator because I wanted to ride it as much as possible, and I wanted the ride operations to be the BEST as possible because I believed everyone in the world needed to ride it, and in 2003, I operated DeJavu the HOUSE DOWN and more people rode it that year than any other and everyone who remembers the year it functioned it's best, I was the one making sure every seat on that train was filled every time. I KNOW I hold the record for most rides on DeJavu at SFoG in the world, that thing was my baby. To this day, my #1 fav coaster in the world (i've only stayed within US) is X (now X2) @ SFMM and #2 is DejaVu at SFoG and I've been on a lot, but to this day, NOTHING has been more terrifying than jumping in the front seat for morning test runs and it gettin stuck in the first lift so you're literally hanging by the restraints facing the ground TERRIFIED FOR YOUR LIFE and without any warning or way of knowing when, it releases the train and for a split second you have a moment where you literally think you've fallen out of the train. YOU CANNOT REPLICATE THIS LEVEL OF THRILL! Simply the best. Being so unpredictable of a ride made it that much more exciting because as I used to say in the mic to the people waiting in line "DeJaVu: ONE time forward! SOMETIMES backwards!" to get all the nervous laughs out of everyone. UGH RIP HASNT BEEN ANOTHER LIKE IT SINCE IT WAS SIMPLY AHEAD OF ITS TIME
Oh and of course that season I worked, I PRAYED that I'd get a chance to work The Monster Mansion at least once so I could finally see for myself if all the rumors were true about the legendary COVETED CLOSED OFF TO THE PUBLIC, NEVER BEEN SEEN spot INSIDE the front doors of the mansion that allegedly housed every secret and rumor ever made about that ride AND POSSIBLY GIVES YOU THE POWER TO TAKE OVER THE VOICES OF THE MONSTERS AND MORE!!! YES the DAY DID COME FOR ME and I got to spend an entire day working inside the 2 front doors of the mansion and it was MORE THAN BETTER THAN I COULD HAVE DREAMED.
But....I am not allowed to share details/facts or else the monsters WILL eat all of my family members at a picnic. A monster picnic. Sorry.
I've only been on one of these and it was Monster Mansion. I enjoyed it.
I am dutch and symbolica is my favorite darkride
In a time like this I feel like the best thing to do is to do park battles again!
Need a best water rides video 😤
My favorites are Justice League (the one at Over Georgia, the only one I've done), the now-defunct pirate one at Indana Beach (RIP) and Men in Black.
It would be cool if you did a top 15 flat rides!
You're actually the first person I know who likes Symbolica more than Droomvlucht (Dreamflight) or Fata Morgana, but I totally agree with you!
Dreamflight is the worst darkride in the park imo
7:22 Are you serious? This dark ride and no i corsari 😱.... good video and sorry for my english
Some dark rides are so strange nothing makes sense😂, but they’re great
I didn’t get to ride Journey to the center of the earth because it was closed when I went there.
That’s so sad :(
Have you ridden Knoebels’ Haunted Manor? It’s an old school dark ride that while it has no where near the budget of the rides on this list, has tones of charm and is a blast to ride!
I have! Cute little ride!
I was at Disney like a few weeks before rise of the resistance opened ;-;
I’ve only been to universal studios Hollywood even though I live in the American south
Lagoon has some spooky stuff if you want a terrifying experience go during frightmares.
My Top 10 traditional dark rides is probably this (I have not ridden ROTR)
10) TIE: Buzz Lightyear and Lost Kingdom Adventure
9) Haunted Mansion
8) E.T. Adventure
7) Spaceship Earth
6) Pirates of the Caribbean
5) Test Track
4) Transformers
3) MIB Alien Attack
2) Spider-Man
1) Forbidden Journey
The Disneysea version of Indiana Jones actually isn't based on the Crystal Skull movie, they just have very similar names
I just want to put this idea out their but it would be cool to see you rank every roller coaster you have rode. I know this would be a lot of work but it would be cool.
Great Video👍
I have been on a couple of those such as indinia jones, pirates of the carribean, the haunted mansion, transformers, and spiderman. My Top 3 is
1. Pirates of the Carribean
2. Radiator Springs
3. The simpsons
