    The plot for Symbolica isn't too hard. Pardoes (the Eftelings mascotte) is the court jester/student mage of the castle. You're about to take a tour in the Kings castle and the main servant Mr. Punctual would like to inform you about the 1 million rules to follow. Then Pardoes comes in and invites you to a more enjoyable tour through the castle.

      Ah ok! In my effort to avoid spoilers, I didn't look up the plot. I probably should have.

    • @PendelSteven

      @@CanobieCoaster Also, Pardoes magic word is"Illumina Fantasia". That's not Dutch, but latin and since there's a lot of Latin English, I'll do a magic trick for you: Illumina Fantasia! --- swoosh --> Illuminated Fantasy! --better put I think --> Illumate the Fantasy!
      Thatt would be Licht de Fantasie Aan! in Dutch instead, which doesn't makes less sense than simply keeping it in Latin.

    • @robertbosch99
      @robertbosch99 14 дней назад

      @CanobieCoaster Basically, Pardoes gives us an exciting tour through the castle by using his magic based on using your imagination, hence the spell Illumina Fantasia, which is repeated numerous times throughout the ride.
      And yea, the butler does not like that because he's a stick in the mud

    I can't believe you didn't include or even mention Droomvlucht! Even though I'm usually the classic coaster enthusiast, I will skip any ride at Efteling just to ride Droomvlucht :p. It has so much more to see than any other darkride I've ever been on and in stead of having a single set story you can make your own story, noticing new things every single ride despite having been on it 30+ times, which makes it (imo) reridable ad infinitum.

      I had to admit that "Darren Brown´s Ghost Train" was the most shitty ride i ever steped in in my whole life (and one of the most expensive, 30 Euro, for what they actually offer)! And don´t forget, the staff "touched" the visitors for the illusion, (NOT! in a bad way), i don´t mind but there folks out there who are a bit "sensitive" for that.....and a last question: Why on earth the USA wouldn´t allow "LUSTIGA HOUSET" to be build in America? Thanks for the video. I will always rank Pirates as the number one dark ride. There is something to say for appreciating the incredible ride capacity, the history of innovation (audio-animatronics), Walt Disney's final project, ride length, music, cultural phenomenon and overall theme and ambience. People tend to appreciate it much more when they get older and start to value it over all of the new tech bells and whistles that frequently break down and rely on screens.

      Battle for Metropolis is a tricky one since I very rarely get a ride where everything works. If everything works correctly, it probably makes the top 50.

    Wow - recovered memory: the first ride you mention, Lustiga Huset, has many features I remember from common traveling fair funhouses - the crazy stairs, bouncing bridges, and revolving tunnels. I don't recall any long slides incorporated in any funhouse, but there sure were a lot of standalone 'super-slides' otherwise! This would have been that late 1960s / early 1970s, and correct - you would never see these features anywhere in the US today.

    Basicly you go and visit the king of the castle symbolica king Pardulvus. The guy on the stairs is O.J Punctuel the royal lackey who is very strict on the castle's rules and protocal he explains the rules and then Pardoes the royal jester/wizzaird cuts in and wants to have fun instead of folowing the rules so HE takes you on a tour in the castle instead of the lackey. And the Lackey tries to stop you.
