      @@acemt01 It's the most technologically advanced and smartly designed ride Disney has built to date. You can tell from the fifty-ish animatronic stormtroopers and two life-sized AT-ATs that they spared no expense when building this. They were even able to brag about how many lines of computer code are used to control the vehicles. But I guess since it has at least one screen somewhere, that fact alone must make it a failure, for some reason.

      No ride is packed 24/7 all year round. A mid week rainy day during the off season will have a fraction of people compared to prime time, nice day, peak season.
      People looking to film an empty ride just do better planning for when to go, and may also wait for longer to have best opportunity for filming.
      They have to plan around when is least packed, while you're just going when it's convenient for you, which overlaps with a lot of other people's choice time as well.

  • @radicalrick9587
    @radicalrick9587 9 месяцев назад +5

    *It depends on the time of the year you're recording this. I used to pull my 3 kids out of school for two weeks every year, while we would travel to all the amusement parks during the off-season so there wouldn't be any long lines. Celebrities do the same thing. This is why you run into a lot of Celebrities if you go in the off-season.* *We would go to Disney World, Sea World, Universal Studio, Magic Mountian, Knott Berry Farm, the ZOO, Alligator Farm, etc... And my kids could go on the best rides multiple times because there would be no lines.* *For those of you who don't know, the off-season is when everyone else is in school.*

    I've ridden this 3 times. First time in LA and it broke down. So, there was a full evacuation. Very cool to go behind the scenes. We were told to not take any pictures. Then, it came back online and we were allowed to cut the line. So, that's twice. Then, I was at Disneyworld, staying at Galactic Starcruiser (RIP) and was able to cut the whole line. You get special access because the cast members saw the Starcruiser pins. (That's a whole. different story...)

      @jlasf 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@SuperStoner86 1: Starcruiser doesn't exist anymore, so that way to cut the line is gone. 2: The number of people entering this way was tiny - maybe 100 people in the course of a full day. So, doesn't really impact how long people wait. 3: You really have an issue with Private Guides and Lightning Lane - or whatever it's called now.

    This sort of thing would have been heaven for Star Wars fans decades ago, however, generations after mine that didn't grow up with the franchise like me... have changed 😢 and many people have forgotten what it means to really dream and imagine, I'm afraid. It seems these days, with all that's going on in the world, everything has become too political. I remember seeing the original Trilogy in theaters and the prequels years later. Something's missing in our youth and people in general, for I sense a void and our children seem to be losing their childhoods to social media and the inability to enjoy simple things anymore. The empty ride was symbolic to me and struck a nerve. Thank you, from an original fan.

      the ride is super cool but cmon in the og trilogy the empire were clearly coded as space nazis and took many aesthetic cues from italian fascists - i mean stormtroopers is a literal translation from the german Sturmabteilung, which was the name of the military wing of the nazi party and from which hitler chose his personal bodyguard... the heroes of star wars are essentially fiction equivalents of those who in real life fought against fascism...

    -I had a Premium Annual Passport from 1995-97 (I was in the USMC back then (1987-2002));
    -From 1997-2002, for a little extra $$$, I was a Security CM @ the DLR (a Marine buddy got me on there; also, I was transitioning back into civilian life, working for the Dept. of Defense (1997-2007);
    -From 2002-2007, after resigning from the DLR, after getting a major promotion w/ the D of D, I became an Annual Passholder again.
    By 2007, I had resigned from the D of D, taking a job w/ the ILWU/Longshoremen (circa 2003; a promotion required moving outta state…☹️) up OR/WA way, so these changes didn’t leave me much time for DLR anymore. Anyway…
    I can remember going to Disneyland and DCA on my days off, w/ family, friends, and even my old Semper Fi buddies…😊!!! I remember days like THIS, when it was “dead” or folks just didn’t wanna deal w/ the rain 🌧️…😄. Good times INDEED…❤️🤍🩶🖤

      @jdos5643 You don't need movies to create stunning dark rides. Some of the best you will find are in the Efteling. Way better than this expensive piece of crap. Just search and enjoy some of the masterpieces. And, it's way more affordable. 😂 No movie's involved,

    I always loved the little First Order Pre-Show part, a bud of mine wished we wore resistance like uniforms to play as prisoners to fit the scene. I know you can't do that sadly, but MAN this ride Is so Interestingly good.

      That's the thing disneylmakes mist of the walking after getting on the reassurance ship feel like part of the attraction so you honestly don't even think about it. Plus it's kinda nice e because it makes you feel more immersed and get more up close to the storm troopers, and you get to walk around a star destroyer

    Went on it Feb 9th. 90 minutes in line, not bad for a Friday. Spectacular sets and effects, but it seemed like they rushed everyone through it, not even allowing 30 seconds to pause for photos. Not worth the price of admission, but if you're already there, yeah, it's pretty good.

    Thanks for posting this very cool video. Given that it took you about 7 mins to walk to the ride start and then about another 5-6 minutes to board the clever little pods, or whatever they are called, I would hate to stand in line from the back, it must take half a day!

    I lived in Coney Island, and on days when it rains not to many people would be at the park or on the rides.

    Tour videos will have new life jn Apple Vision. Do you ever record in stereoscopic? Apparently, it is built into the Headset recorder and also iPhone 15

    • @LMGVids
      @LMGVids  10 месяцев назад +2

      No, stereoscopic video technology isn’t good enough yet. You have to sacrifice sharpness and light just to get a subpar Stereoscopic image. I don’t feel comfortable using it for the channel as of right now

      @@LMGVids would be an expensive experiment for a potential fail, but if it worked, man it would feel so immersive in Apple Vision. Disney announced a partnership with Epic Games to develop immersive VR experiences based on rides irl recently. An apple vision ride-along would be a preview albeit passive rather than interactive. Love your work!

    • @LMGVids
      @LMGVids  10 месяцев назад +2

      I actually thought about it a while back, it’s 100% possible with the r5c and vr 180 lens, it’s just the image quality out of it looks pretty subpar, especially if you are viewing it on RUclips. However, the thought of producing content that could be viewed on the Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest 3 would be pretty cool, if only camera and stream tech could just catch up lol
      Thank you, I’m glad you enjoy our videos 😁

    I remember when I was about 13 my family went to MGM studios as part of our Disney World experience and we rode the Star Wars ride. I was completely blown away and had to ride it like three more times that week. Seeing this brought back some good memories, similar feels from seeing the action take place. Thank you for sharing this!

    Just at Disneyworld - the only way you get on the ride is to pay $25. That’s after you pay $18 for Genie. Disney is fleecing people every way they can. Couldn’t go if we wanted to - it wasn’t working, lol.
