only when you worked with carbon fiber and try similar things, you understand of what this guy achieved in this video with those many details of the part, I am working with carbon fiber for 3 4 years now and still, I don't have enough confidence to know I can do the same thing as this video and the end result looks so perfect, huge respect bro you are doing really great, just buy a vacuum pomp it seems you really need it also a Dremel tool, mad respect!!

Love your videos. Well shot, well edited, and the humor is great. Great save at the end there, you were so close to getting out of it but too much throttle. At least you kept it shiny side up and didn't turn the road-course lap into a rallycross lap.
Yooooo that little clip at the end was sick 😁👍 I've just started my first run of parts for commercial sale and your videos really helped me to get this far, so thank you from Australia 🙏
You are AWESOME. I was planning to add air ducting on my M4 as this is why F80/82 brakes give up on track. Assuming you re running fresh race brake fluids, track ready pads and no MDM selected, AND ducting there is no need for big brake kit. I am not confident with CF though so I will buy the front ducts in aluminium and weld the 2.5” aluminium pipe on the aluminium BMW OEM brake shields.
Very good tutorial! I am suspicious of the resistance of this piece due to the incorrect cooking of the Prepeg since it requires two firings of different temperatures. However, it is a good method for parts that are not exposed to impact or torsion. Your tutorials are really very good, hopefully one day you will make a bonnet!
Actually the brake duct is effective when the outlet is closest to the hub. Cuz it's designed to be cooled by having the air from the inlet of the brake disk, which is the inner slots of it.
Another nice one. Waited for awhile but you didn’t disappoint me. Thanks for the new video with great quality!! And btw, congrats on the new workroom bro.
One day you should make a video that explaining why you use each material such as the pva and release wax. These videos are very Interesting to watch and really make me interest about composites.
nice I will order my oven to start post curing my air boxes projects. Not too sure if this would be safe on the breaks tho. If they cool unevenly they could warp. But the technique is what was most fascinating to me.
GG you legit made what the aeroplane industry calls Black Aluminium = a part that could be made out of aluminium but instead its made from carbon for no reason
I just like how you are making your own carbon fiber parts. For your M4; I used to work at a BMW dealership. Just one kick panel is over one thousand. I actually inspected. The big parts, let's just say the side skirts out of carbon fiber. Would retail for four thousand.

This is the method just chosen. Thank you. I like this way best by far..cheers!
Shouldn't the duct/pipe replace the original vents near the centor of the backing plate ? Because you want more air to flow through the brake rotor, then vent out of it, instead of lots of air only cooling the inside face.
Hello friend. To make a mold for prepreg carbon fiber, I used a filament containing aluminum instead of the usual PLA filament. The filament has a higher heat resistance than PLA. I cured the prepreg at 120 degrees Celsius. But I think PA-CF filament is more suitable for high temperature than aluminum filament.
@@ECOLAPStudio thanks for your answer mate ! Yes I thought about PA-CF but the problem is that it is abrasive, but I saw that you used it for your BMW carbon steering wheel, maybe need that much pre-treatment as you made for it to get less abrasive side (sorry for my english haha) As it is to make wishbone/rim and stuff like that, PA-CF is a very good option, but I was scared about this abrasive side I will let you know when I will make it in future Channel! 😉 thanks again for all your work!
