Glad to know I can play this on an airplane wing if needed. Great vid, the editing quality is 10/10, really enjoying the direction you're moving! Keep up the good work
I'm just gonna say it, I'm happy I found your channel recently. I've been out of touch with my "musical performance" self for a decade but watching your videos and seeing your quirkiness and talent reminds me of that joy I used to have. I am/was a percussionist (vibraphone was my jam) but your content is always well worth watching. Even something like a snare drum review that I wouldn't expect to be engaged in, you still manage to keep it interesting and entertaining. Thanks! :)
I'm incredibly blessed to have had my HS drumline instructor be someone who had multiple years of DCI experience and brought the tuning knowledge into our school! I've been watching these tuning tips videos and the information isn't necessarily new, for me, but I imagine it's going to change the way some groups handle their drums! You're doing an amazing service to the community :)
Nice Dutch flag you got there on your new Mapex snare drum. 😉 🇳🇱 Did you know that Mapex is the American brand from the Majestic Percussion company, based in the Netherlands?
Love this dude. He's GREAT for a rudimental drummers passion and discipline. Subscribe to him. Support him and encourage him and no I don't know him and I'm NOT paid to say a word about him. I don't know him from Adam.. I just think he's good for our discipline. Keep drumming all. Blessing my brothers and sisters.
At the end of the month, if you decide to keep the beard, just trim the neck beard up to just above your Adam’s apple, and make a line on both side of the hair on the top of your cheeks. that alone will make it look a lot better. Also to help with the itching and stuff, beard oil, beard butter and beard balm really helps with all that. I use all of those. Cool video, man
How would you describe the tension of your gut side head? Do you crank it as much as the batter side? At what tension do snares resonate the best? Haaaalp!
Video 3 of Loopy Grandma asking Lil' Peanut to play Wipe Out by the Ventures!!! Maybe be dressed as a Surfer Dude? with Surfing special effects! ... I know you are very creative, so I expect something EPIC!
Video 3 of commenting until EMC makes a front ensemble out of spocks
I fully support this movement
This is a bold call friend
Yes
Signing up for the science behind spock timpani.

The drum sounds really good even on the wings of a plane and in the middle of apocalypse.

Glad to see EMC is showing support to the Dutch community
6:24 EPIC timing ... going down the slide in turn, and finishing in sync.
I think he has a click track in his head phones.
Very relieved to know this will still sounds great when we do our first annual "airplane wing drumline revue" later this year

As the saying goes: Once a Marine, always a Marine. Are you going to teach/consult any drum lines?
he's taught schools and (i think) corps before he joined the commandants own
@@johnnymitchellcollier taught and judged
2:17 just my favorite part for no reason
Regular note = G5
Rim shot = C#6 or A#5 (one of them are sounded in one of the shots)
Mapex always was so good at giving a great snare sound and response, especially for outdoor use

Did you know that Mapex is the American brand from the Majestic Percussion company, based in the Netherlands?
majestic… that’s the brand that my school uses
And yes, I knew that!
My school uses mapex, interesting fact!
Mapex, the official snare drum of RUclips
Mylar heads are awesome!!!
Mapex snares are awesome. My school uses Mapex snares and they look and sound awesome.
That bit on the swings was next level man, sheeesh.
so excited for this, my school uses mapex and love their drums
5:45 sounds like an F# with a C# undertone
I cant lie, the sound of that drum outside made me need new pants. Brb.
That swing set bit slayed me!
Thank you for your service
Dude! That DD214 is looking good on you!
holy moly that thing sounds amazing outside 😍 😍
Big ups to you for actually standing on the wing of a plane for 5 separate takes
DUDE you are an amazing player. Dear lord my guy. Fantastic stuff.
Drum looks amazing bro
emc is my bets youtuber in the usa!!!
i see you sneaking in a little UP 2011 at 6:48 … wish i had the full transcription, one of my favorite WGI breaks all time
Love the American twist on the drum wrap. U.S.A.!!!!!!!!!

This man is Stevie T but with drums and I love it.

That drum sounds so good!
That snare looks lit af
Watching from Panama you are so amazing
I might get one of these bad boys 🔥
You’re the best thing that has happened to me since banished beyond……
Love those mylar rimshots.
thank you for your service Semper Fi
I'd love to see him take a snare like this and make one of those DIY "practice pads" and give his thoughts
I like the use of the White’s house from breaking bad in the green screen at 3:00.
Thank you for your service man
You are technically a military vet
The shots with the stock head sounds like tenor rimshots
Keep it up man love the vids. Brings me back to marching band back in 2007 08 and 09
Pitches are: (in concert pitch)
For the drum sound it’s Ab, and for the rim it’s a Db
I actually disagree, I hear G and D
Just discovered your channel. You are a badass drummer!
I can’t find any mapex snares anywhere, apparently they were discontinued while they work on a new model for 2022
lone star has some i think.. it says they're in stock on their website
@@fl4sh762 I’ll check that out
@@fl4sh762 I really want one with a white rim but I can settle for chrome😂
The drum sounds very good form a long distance and on a playground slide too
I love the Three Camps excerpt DCI style at 6:33...
Your editing is so fun.
How would you describe the tension of your gut side head? Do you crank it as much as the batter side? At what tension do snares resonate the best?
Haaaalp!
Nice slide work Eric
Its nice that there is a dutch flag on it🇳🇱🇳🇱
Homies gonna be looking the most fresh ever December 1st
You know, that custom finish you got reminds me of the custom wrap for your red Yamahas that you promised the viewers you'd get...
The beard is looking fantastic
@ 6:24 - Okay, this clip is just friggin' suh-wheet!
I thought the playground scenes were hilarious but then I LOST it when you hit the swings
The "American twist" just looks like the flag of the Netherlands😂
Pearl: A new challenger has arrived!
Nice use of the "Three Camps".... ;-)
I want to get that exact snare, it's beautiful.
back when you were in the commandants own, did you ever march with one of those rope tension drums?
i think it was a Gb 5:52
5:53 Ideally my drumline tech tunes the bottom head to a C#
Hey, could you recommend anything a little more
Budgetable, cause I’m not that rich
Video 3 of Loopy Grandma asking Lil' Peanut to play Wipe Out by the Ventures!!! Maybe be dressed as a Surfer Dude? with Surfing special effects! ... I know you are very creative, so I expect something EPIC!
They're pretty good for show band style
That’s honestly a great sounding drum
6:35 is this a monarch independent beat? 2019? PDD?
7:25 what I hear every time to go to a DCI show
nice how you got it tuned in a way that it works in the upside down.
Haha I did the EXACT same thing on my Mapex lol. I tried to use the Mylar and broke, then switched to kevlar
I hope he gets some tenors. They are very nice and sound beautiful
I would love to take my kids to a playground and run into someone drumming for their sweet RUclips channel. 😁
I like the breaking bad background
Great vid! I miss the old background music tho
loving all the new styles of content!
The drum I believe is a G
it absolutely is
That drum looks so light
when i build my drumset, i want to have a marching snare in the kit. idk why. just something i've always thought would be cool.
Holy no shave november champ!
Is that 3 camps I hear? I love drumming Easter eggs.
Underwatrdrummr should do an underwater drumming video.
I didn’t know you were a proud Dutchman!
Holy shit! I haven't watched your videos since you moved. No particular reason, but THAT BEARD lol This is my first time seeing it.
Thanks for this product demo -- is a less deep (10" vs 12") snare going to be coming to more drumlines soon? mainly indoor? or DCI as well?
Most groups go for the 12” snares these days, but plenty of high schools and especially middle schools will often go for these slightly smaller drums.
Eric, which kind of drum is used for Ravel's Bolero? Thank you so much for your help.
You should put the songs you make on Spotify! That would be really cool!
I would like to see him play with a Remo Powerstroke77 snare head with the Remo Ambassador snare bottom. My high school band has those.
How does Eric manage to write the tastiest snare licks on the spot like damn
YESSSSS MAPEX🥵🥵🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬!!!!!!
I have the full size drum and I love it! Glad to see you went with Mapex
I don't think you should shave it completely at the end though I think you should make it look nice
It looks good on you
does the falams head have a dry sound like the cybermax and when you hit the head does it feel like the whitemax black max or cybermax
Eric can you review the remo suede max head at some point. maybe even a comparison with the evans hybrid
Wow I haven’t seen anyone use the Falams II batter in AGES!
can you try to make a video about how to make a stock snare drum head sound good?
I find it really funny how the rim shot before you tuned it sounded like quad shots
