Zag's going to be *so* jealous of his sister once he's out of time stasis. Not only has she managed to meet Hercules while he was stuck with Theseus, she's actually managed to earn his respect. Or at least as much respect as he can give at this point.
I really love his design all of his designs in media showcases how *"godly" strong* he is. Here He looks so absurdly strong but in a very *"human"* way
Most of all, he has scars! The gods rarely get them, even after being in eons of fights! He still is half human, a few hundreds of years already have him all scarred and battered up
I like how Heracles seems like a jerk but it's clear that he's trying to keep everyone out of his life so they don't end up in danger. Every now and then you see his noble personality shine through
I mean the mofo was made to kill his teacher, his family and after the 10 labors, they denied 2 out of it and made him do another 2 in place of said labor. Even at the very end he was betrayed by his fiancé. I'd be quite skeptical of people just watching the mofo suffered let alone experience it.
I mean, Hera practically went after him since he was a baby and caused him to kill his wife and son. And he did those 12 stupidly unfair labors for a jerkass king. Yeah, i don't blame him for being a bitter man

Every Greek hero has a fatal flaw and Heracles is Wrath. The man, for all his heroics, is has always been an angry person. It’s honestly refreshing to have a version of him with the edge of his original self rather than the Disney-fied version of the man. Between his anger issues and his infamous Labors the man has lived a life of hardship.
Aight no one’s talking about this and it’s bugging me, I Love the thought put into this game because Herakles’ idle animation on screen where he leans off his club is one for one with his most famous statue with him leaning in his club don’t believe me look it up.

When in fact his myth is the complete opposite - true, he does have strength to overpower anyone in a fight, but he relies on his wit and quick thinking to get through most of the labors. Supergiant's version seems to give him depth. He seems gruff and scornful of Melinoe, but from the dialogue shown so far it's clearly deeply rooted in the shit the Gods have put him through during life. I'm really looking forward to his full story in the game.

He essentially just went down into the underworld, all the way to Hades' palace, and told him what the gods above want him to do and if he could borrow Cerberus until the gods give up and claim the labor complete. Hades only asked Cerberus remain unharmed, but otherwise accepted.
Out of all the characters you can see fight along or against you, I swear none of them feel as powerful as Heracles does, even Hades didn't feel so strong in the first game. They really did the title "mightiest of men" justice.
Why does Hercules addresses Melinoe "sister"? Is it because he recognizes that she is part human/mortal via Persephone (who in Hades-verse is born from Demeter and a mortal man)? Or maybe a "sister-in-arms"...kind of?
I just remembered that Melinoe in the source material is a daughter of Zeus and Persephone. (Of course this is not true in Hades II, but maybe Hercules calling Melinoe "sister" is a reference to that)
I like to think Hercules has unintentionally caused people to think the people he refers to as sisters/brothers as his actual siblings. So when a mortal overhear him saying that they think that Zeus is that person's father because you know Zeus is his dad
While I do appreciate that he's obviously more jaded due to all that's happened to him and that he isn't just a pure noble hero who is only good, I do hope that he gets just a smidge put into his place compared to Melinoë. Maybe he can say he tried to 1v1 Chronos but got whooped.

Im so glad they got heracles so damn accurate, im always tired when they portray him as dumb in games/pop culture, or even worse spell his name as "hercules" in a greek setting
To be entirely fair, it was magic that did Heracles in, and he may think that said magic came from his wife cursing him. It is perfectly feasible of him to hate magic.
