I love how Zag was seconds away from casting at Chronos.
Edit, same with Dusa. Girl looks mad all the hard work she put into keeping the House clean was under threat.
than looks mid scythe swing
Of course Dusa is out for blood. Poor Dusa is gonna be cleaning out sand from everywhere in the house for next eternity because of Chronos.
Some people seem confused abt blood sacrifices. It means the sacrifices the satyrs were making of their own.
I'm pretty sure it's the titan blood we collected throughout the first game as Zagreus. It's specificied in-game that nobody knew whose blood it was, but it has the same halo thingy around the blood as the halo around Chronos, so....
@@mostlyimpulsive3462 I think it's a bit of both, Zag put all the pieces back into place, and the saytyrs blood sacrifices gave him the will to reconstitute himself (why they all reside down in Tartarus and seem far better off for themselves)
The titan blood was put into the infernal arms. The reason Chronos came back most likely wasn’t because blood was put into titan killing weapons.
the titan blood were even noted to be pulsating positively. For whatever reason@@mostlyimpulsive3462
Chronos must have taken them by surprise. No way he'd take on Zagreus, Achilles, Megaera, Dusa, Persephone and especially Thanatos in a direct fight. Same for Nyx.
Achilles is just a skilled mortal warrior, a demigod sure but nothing else.
Dusa is nothing more than the decapitated head of a famous Gorgon.
Nyx and Thanatos and Zagreus are the few that pose a threa
@@GameLover45408apparently he attacked a moment where phantoms wasn't using his scythe I do want to remind you that he was only bested by with a dedicated plan and five gods.
@@jaredmizzell869 i would point out that he likely didn't need a surprise attack. when confronted by melinoe, he is surprised at being unable to simply freeze her in time, suggesting that she is protected by witchy spells, something the other gods did not have available to them.
nyx maybe but he literally controls time i feel like he might pause the time or something
i'm more concerned about how he captured the fates. like yeah he found out where they reside now but how did he capture them
@@aiaioioichronos came to chaos to "ask" a simple question, which led to chronos taking hold of the fates. chaos is extremely displeased with the idea, so i'm assuming they're probably going to be part of the true ending if things lead to it.
Blood sacrifices... oh god, the Titan's Blood...
I don’t think they are connected as Titan Blood was fed to Infernal Arms which are managed by Fate Sisters and we know Fates don’t like Chronos, tho Satyrs whom battle in the temple of styx they hated Hades and had blood all around the temple
I think it was the Satyr cultists.
While I can understand an argument for Titan's Blood, I think he's referring to the Saytr Cultists that invaded the Temple of Styx doing Blood Sacrifices to resurrect Chronos rather than sacrificing Titan Blood to the Infernal Arms.
This is further reinforced by Chronos having, what seems to be, golden sands of time running through his veins, as evidenced by his scarred body, his death where he fades away, and the Zodiac Sand he drops upon death.
In short, I do not believe Zagreus is responsible for the rise of Chronos, though that is a compelling theory.
Not sure how many noticed it, but when Chronos speaks about eating people, hsi voice morphs into more monstrous one for split second :P
Alecto is probably happy to work for Chronos. And Tis probably doesn’t even notice and keeps working.
Idk, Tis at least learned Zagreus’ name. I feel they’re friends on some level though to what capability she has to perceive her situation is in the air.
I kinda feel she would be pissed she can't beat him up
I doubt Chronos practically declared war on Olympus and his allies at this point even mortals must have known what is happening
@@JustSomeDude42not to mention that no fury would serve chronos for his crimes against his family
Patroclus likely ain't happy that Achilles was taken by Chronos. :(
(Also, I know that Chaos isn't happy that Zagreus and Nyx, especially Nyx, were taken.)
That is what I have been wondering too. Be worried about what happened to those two
Can't they just frolic in the fields together in peace?? 😭
Patroclus might not be a fan of war, but he seems to be a man that would fight for a cause. Most likely, he’s with the other Exalted of Elysium, fighting the Titan armies.
It's hard to watch how terrified Hades is.
You know, to me it looks like all the ransacking that Zag did in the Styx probably delayed the resurrection of Chronos. It probably bought enough time for Mel to be born and land us with a fighting chance in Hades II.
Feeding all the Titan Blood lying around to the Infernal Arms couldn’t have been conducive to Chronos’ resurrection, either. The Fates must’ve seen this coming, so they put events into motion that had the best chance of healing the rifts between the Olympians and the Underworld, and strengthening the House of Hades enough for a chance to bring down Chronos.
I think it’s worth noting that Hades was one of the first of the Olympians to be born, so this takeover is a kind of repeat offence.
Also, the scythe Cronis uses is likely the same that was given to him by Gaia to kill Ouranos, his father the sky
Not kill him, just castrate
Which he did, and then rid his tests upon the sea
In many versions Cronus failed to kill his father, Uranas(Ouranos) but managed to castrate him instead. Through it all, Uranus is still alive but isn’t doing anything.
@@Nerember All versions - Uranus is immortal.
I really hope they at least give some kinda flashback fight or cutscene for Zag being captured because going from a master of arms in Hades 1 to permanent stasis is crazy lol
And fitting for the Titan of Time to be able to do that.
Chronos put them in a state of "Endless Now ".
Ready a Oroboros Stone
Blood sacrifices…could it be that Zagreus' numerous deaths enabled Chronos to consolidate and break free from Tartarus?
Probably not cause Titan Blood was fed to Infernal Arms which are managed by Fate Sisters and we know Fates don’t like Chronos, tho Satyrs whom battle in the temple of styx they hated Hades and had blood all around the temple
I’m curious about Alecto and Tisiphone’s fates
So am I, my friend!
Wherever she is, I hope that Tisiphone is okay! And I’d wager that it can be assumed she alongside Alecto are both less than enthusiastic about their current situation!
since Zagreus is the god of blood, maybe him possessing enough titan blood somehow helped in the ressurection of chronos, and i know titan blood was already abundant in the underworld but still he is the god of blood
Whered they say he was the god of blood?
@@voidfloof achilles wrote that thanatos is drawn to zag since he is the god of rebirth and blood while thanatos is the death incarnate
More than likely, the Satyrs in the Temple of Styx were responsible. Zag’s actions probably delayed the resurrection, both by slaughtering the cultists, and by feeding the Titan Blood to the Infernal Arms, depleting the stuff that was laying around Tartarus that Chronos could use to reconstitute himself.
strength and skill are not very helpful when the other guy just paused the world and had you carted off to the storage room.
I like that this chronos is, as I was told, the combination of the two chronos of mythology, the titan chronos and the primordial chronos or
My headcanon is he placed Zagerus into a time loop prison
This is most likely intentional but I’m pretty sure they fused two gods; Kronos, Titan of the Harvest and Father of Hades, Poisidon, Zeus etc, and Chronos, personification of time. They’re two different people in the mythology and often confused because of the similar names
Who are all of the characters Chronos trapped?
Achilles, Zagreus, Dusa, Megera, Thanatos, Persephone, and Nyx. Basically everyone that you would see after you came back to the house in the first game. Orpheus was probably with Euridacey when Chronos attacked and could be why he’s not there.
i cant with Hades' little skips wtf
so the fates are able to take down chronos through prophecies if they wanted to? are the fates really that powerful?
Well they are the daughters of nyx. Who is one of the primordials, gaia and Uranus are on the same level and gave birth to the titans so the fates would be at the very least at the same level as Kronos and quite possibly higher
The only problem is that the Fates can’t take direct action. They can set the right people on the right paths, but for all their power, they’re limited in what they themselves can do.
@@coltonwilliams4153 exactly yea
*0:51* NYX jynx?
Is this canon?
yes to the game (it's the sequel, still early access)
not fully to the myth (hades's father is _usually_ cronus not chronos and he didn't imprison anyone afaik)
You can play as hades? uh what
How does Nyx get trapped she is far older and more powerful than Kronos. It's might as well have trapped Gaia
A little hard to put up a fight when the enemy first move was a sucker punch done with the element of surprise
As far as I understand, chronos is the combination of the two lords of Greek time, that is, chronos titan and cronos, primordial (or god, I don't remember exactly if the other chronos was a god or primordial)
Keep in mind Kronos killed Ouranos in his youth. I can only imagine he got stronger with, well, time.
@@CrownofMischief Gaia helped him though. Even Zeus fears Nyx
Because Night is always bested by Time.
