@@kenuty It's gotten to a point that mortals now view Zagreus as some sort of "boogeyman" causing chaos in the underworld. For that reason, they are living a safer life, hoping they don't die early

Dude. Thank you so much for uploading this. Even though the game is absolutely enjoyable to replay it over and over again. I couldn't control my curiousity. So thank you again, for making this available.
Just got this ending and enjoyed it. Though I really think they missed a trick by being in the house of hades and going round talking to all the gods during the feast
For the epilogue I’d have loved pictures of Zagreus showing Coronacht to Artemis, or drinking with Dionysus, or arm wrestling with Ares or SOMETHING. It felt so underwhelming
When I finally beat Hades for the first time, I genuinely cried a bit when Zag and Pers had this brief interaction. Such heavy emotions and news for both of them, I do wonder how brief Zag is able to stay in the overworld. Usually, a brief moment for Gods is like many years for mortals.
Thanks for this. I have to admit i am a little disappointed that the final cutscene is only an interaction between Zeus and Hades. Why not showing the other gods? Demeter notably
Probably because making 3D models for all of them for that scene would be too much. Alternatively because it might’ve just felt hard to write organic dialogue between all the gods. I mean think of the combinations
I don't know for sure but I can tell you this, keep talking to the mother, Keep gifting her, gift EVERYONE especially the olympians and beat the father a few time and eventually she comes to this conversation.
It's a long process it take some time. Some people say that this dialogue shows up after talking a lot of times with Persefone but some people say that you must complete multiple runs with at least 8 of heath to get that dialogue to appear.
They added a fates scroll that describes it in game now. Basically you have to get a bunch of the olympian gods to max hearts, likely some of them unlocked with ambrosia (not all though). Once you get all the Olympian gods liking you she is willing to throw the celebration.
I pretty sure that the R34 folks are very thankful for the varied groans and moans of Zag each time the Styx takes him. A veritable gold-mine for sure.
@@soul6733 Pretty much, the thing about Greek Mythology is that there really is no set canon. It just depends on who is telling the story. Unless we are talking things like The Odyssey where there is set canon for that one. Example: Herakles kills Hippolyta during the task to get her girdle but Theseus later marries her after Herakles sets him free from the underworld.
I'd LOVE to see a DLC with an alternative ending, where the gods find out the truth before being invited to hell and you actually fight the war they talked about. You could fight all of the gods, even chaos, and through the gods being unable to win (maybe not dying completely...), they acknowledge the whole situation and support it. I think that would be super interesting and just flat out awesome.
All the hours you put in this game, see thats what it takes to create a functioning god family in greek mythology, and this is one of the best case scenarios too XD
1:03:27 I like to think that when Hades said this, Persephone was internally just like, "well I was thinking about something a bit more complicated than that but now that you mention it..."
So you have to go through the various stages of Hell numerous times to be strong enough to escape, and then go back and forth after you’ve escaped to have short convos to finally return to hell for good

Apollo is not happy that he didn't get a cameo in game and that he never get an invitation.
Hephaestus isn't too chuffed, either, I don't think.
@@Landis963 Also Hera which I am so bummed about
@@mxyellowo Oh, fuck, she'd have a TON to say about the Stygian hash of a marriage Hades and Persephone have. Dang! Maybe in DLC?
@@Landis963 I hope so

supergiant just NEVER misses with their games. Bastion, Transistor, and now Hades. true masterpieces, all of them
You're forgetting about Pyre chief. That was a godlike game too.
I like the concept of Eurydice and Orpheus as a metal duo. Nice fit.
First I am spoiling the hell out of this for myself yet I am still playing this awesome game. Second my God the dialogue and voice acting! This is S tier stuff
awsome, spoiling stuff but you can still enjoy it, Did the same before
Nice touch that the first time you kill Hades with the Cosmic Egg that you can faintly hear Chaos chuckling.
34:39
I mean considering the circumstances of the relationships of several other Olympians (cough cough Zeus cough cough) Hades and Persephone were rather tame in comparison.
The first time you escape and come back I don’t know why but I love how Zagreus says “wait, what?” when Hades is faking ignorance.
There never was and most probably never will be again such an epically powerful credit ending roll in video games. Persephone & Zagreus being chaperoned by Charon down by the Styx river to the "In The Blood" track is going to stay forever as a new classic.
SOMEBODY FINALLY PUT ALL OF IT TOGETHER IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS! TYSM!
I've only got to escape 2-3 times, suffering with every attempt, so thank you for putting it all in one piece.
This is such a good story with myriad of details. Bravo, Supergiant
55:24 I like how you say WTF when he just lets you go
1:16:20 Oh Zagreus... You have no idea how right you are😂
lol, half of Greek mythology in a nutshell:
Zeus:
"Oh, that woman is lovely, I am gonna turn into an animal and seduce her. Nothing can go wrong with that plan."
Then everything goes wrong and Zeus is always to blame XD
Start up the 'it's always sunny in Philadelphia' song
Thanks a lot for the upload, I wanted to see how the story continues, but didn't have the patience to beat the game so many more times after already doing it in early access. I didn't watch everything though and now I have more drive to finish the game myself.
Hi Kenuty! We're working on a video essay about Hades and are in the middle of collecting some footage from the game. Mind if we use footage from your video in ours? We'll link to your channel in the description - let us know by replying here or tweeting at us @wisecrack! Thanks!
Go for it, It's compilation of the ending meant for all to enjoy
@@kenuty Thanks kenuty, appreciate it! We'll let you know when the video is out :)
I am super intrigued with this story of Zagreus and Persephone and every interaction they have, I can picture in my head like an animated short. I love it.
Wow so the game never really ends that’s amazing
nope, he becomes sorta like a security guard for the family to make sure no one escapes from the underworld as an excuse.
@@kenuty yeh just realized that
@@kenuty It's gotten to a point that mortals now view Zagreus as some sort of "boogeyman" causing chaos in the underworld. For that reason, they are living a safer life, hoping they don't die early
song in credits is really good wth. Thanks for upload this
Nyx is the real MVP.
Ah yes another one hour of watching the story unfold and getting wrapped up in the lore but not having played a single minute of the game. One of those nights i guess.
Dude. Thank you so much for uploading this. Even though the game is absolutely enjoyable to replay it over and over again. I couldn't control my curiousity.
So thank you again, for making this available.
Thanks. I myself couldn't reach this damned random epilogue after 100+ hours of playtime.
This is one of the few games in many that I have played that actually made me cry. Bless this game, I hope there's more of it.
I watched this cuz I'm having a hard time getting passed Hades. Now I wanna play even more to get all this.
29:38 scared the shit outta me, been dealing with enough PC problems already lately, thought a USB port had given out or something.
Just got this ending and enjoyed it. Though I really think they missed a trick by being in the house of hades and going round talking to all the gods during the feast
Shakespearean to put something 'too big' off stage. It makes the mind go wild.
10 clears is abit much. I like the game in all but I got other stuff to play. Thanks for this.

00:00 1st escape
10:00 2nd escape
16:48 3rd escape
24:47 4th escape
30:13 5th escape
33:35 6th escape
41:50 7th escape
46:48 8th escape
51:45 9th escape
54:00 10th escape
Cerebus blep for the win...
1:08:25 how did you get to this conversation with his mom? or rather, what did you have to do? Still stuck on normal conversations with her.
Want to know as well
I don't know for sure but I can tell you this, keep talking to the mother, Keep gifting her, gift EVERYONE especially the olympians and beat the father a few time and eventually she comes to this conversation.
Once you get all the Olympian gods liking you she is willing to throw the celebration.
me: uh persephone if styx aint part of the mortal realm then why ain’t you just let zagreus stay in a raft or sumn on that river next to you??
no raft can survive the Styx for long. Charon is the only ferryman for a reason.
Zagreus: I'll be Back
Terminator: "Someone hold my time machine*
I pretty sure that the R34 folks are very thankful for the varied groans and moans of Zag each time the Styx takes him.
A veritable gold-mine for sure.
Dude. Thanks a bunch for this video. I listen to it, casually, if you will. The voice acting, story, everything. Love it. Thanks my guy.
I love how THIS game gives a reason to hades being so villanous, unlike every other media where he is the villain for no reason.
So, wait, the whole pomegranate thing is a rude? Clever, very clever
I think you mean ruse
Well according the mythology it was Hades who force her to eat pomegranate to have her stay with her
@@RK-jt4yc Depends. In other versions, she herself spontaneously eat them.
So basically God of War, but the main protagonist is the son of Hades instead
If we're talking DLC, how about the Labyrinth of Minos? Theseus was supposed to be the main character instead of Zagreus initially.
Alternatively, you release the Titans from the underworld to finally defeat them, and end up causing the apocalypse.

[Hades 2 Existing]
*Oh no... OH NO...!*
There's no way in hell Demeter was okay with this lol
you can tell by the post epilogue dialogue with demeter that she's overjoyed to have her daughter back. because she visits her regularly afterwards
The greek architecture was been source of inspiration for designing the caverns from games MYTHOS and LONGING
thank you mate for your effort in putting up this video. really appreciate it :)
the entire time they talk about the consequences of hades finding out here and there im just like: "what's he gonna do, i already kicked his ass"
Man I hope they do an expansion dlc for this. Such an amazing game.
:)
I would love if they update the game and have it where you have to fight your way up to Olympus for some reason
need that reason to be good since we just had a family meeting
God of War style
Good news! We're now fighting our way back DOWN into the House of Hades!
THANK YOU! I love this game but lack the skills to beat it as many times as I would need to get all the endings!
Glad you could watch something that helps you out instead of playing the game 11 times in a row, but it is good game though!
wow thank you very much there aren't any video about this!!
Zagreus: dies in suffering many times in front of her
Persiphone: Oh, well, that's unfortunate
Thank goodness I found this. Was almost losing my patience on finding each endings because I suck at games lol.
This was unbelievably satisfying to watch. 10/10
Thanks man, I'll keep this in mind to make other cool ones for ya

So you have to go through the various stages of Hell numerous times to be strong enough to escape, and then go back and forth after you’ve escaped to have short convos to finally return to hell for good
yes, because you cannot live outside of hell too long, It's the curse of the hades family so he inherited what his father has too.
