That's one of my favorite line deliveries by Dionysus, the way his tone goes so quickly from "chill bro" to "cold-blooded revenge" is really impressive

Whats kind of bizzare is, although Hades 2 is magnificent and bound to get better, Hades 1 had this warmth to it in tone. Comfort. By way of contrast, Malinoe's perilous and dour task made me want to come back to Zagreus.

I agree. I think it's mainly because Zagreus's "task" was mostly his own decision. It didn't have the same dark contrast the second game had. He had the vibe of a moody teenager trying to run away from home, while Melinoe's task is super important and crucial. She didn't have much of a choice.

I’ll admit I do like the way that when Mel comes home after dying Hecate is so supportive and patient rather than hades telling zagreus to go fuck himself all the time 😂
