what do you suggest they do? I mean Hades became like this because he was unprepared and his father literally ate him as a child lol
@@wonpiri___jinani3340 There are many things they could've done:
1) Make Hades attempt to break out repeatedly, as Zagreus once did. He is too weak to beat Chronus alone, but that doesn't stop him from trying.
2) Have Hades be imprisoned, but not have a broken will. He could be beaming with rage inside some sort of time barrier.
3) Remove Hades entirely. Have him be frozen in time or something, just like they did with Zageus.
@@peezieforestem5078 Well Chronos has his family in complete stasis. It's not like Hades doesn't want to try to save them. But if he tries breaking out like you say, what's to stop Chronos from just wiping his family from time or something?
It's not the same situation as Zag, Chronos wants this man to suffer. That's why he didn't freeze him with the others.
@@megablueflash1816 A difficult problem doesn't justify a broken will. There are millions situations like this IRL. For instance, I have relatives who have MiA and PoW relatives who are likely being tortured. These people don't give up, if anything, they try their hardest to get the PoWs back, even when it looks like there's nothing they can do.
Breaking Hades mentally was a deliberate choice on the writers part, it wasn't some inevitable consequence of the universe.
His will is not actually broken though, there are several conversations (both between him and Mel and between Mel and others) pointing to the fact that he remains sane of mind
I love that the music that plays in the room with Hades is a mix of the first games main theme (and therefore Hades' boss theme) and In The Blood
The prison sprite is so sketch like almost unfinished showing how broken they are compared to Mel’s highly rendered sprite. 🥲
