The realization that the voices of Zagreus and Skelly are done by the same VA (Darren Korb) is just astonishing.
And he is not even a Pro VA. He is just the Composer and Music Director.
Hades is a masterclass of voice acting.
He also voiced Orpheus and sing it if im not mistaken
Which is ironic considering that Zagreus is a terrible musician at first

@@titan133760 I taught Zagreus to play the lyre. Oh, the sheer struggle of that journey... makes all the ransacking and dying seem relatively mild in comparison.

To some extent he breaks both. For a plague god he's affable and kind even if he thinks a new disease is a good gift. He also saved a elven goddess and locked her away in his realm to feed all his new plagues....this sounds bad but she's the goddess of medicine and he knows she's leaking cures for his plagues into the world before the plagues get there because he's also a god of life.

Well zeus wasn’t known for god of one night stands for nothing. Lol.
ngl this game in term of Voice Acting is top tier Idk why but every time a character in this game speak it's like an ASMR in my ear and the BGM "chef kiss".
It's because all the characters are very soft-spoken and the voice actors recorded their lines very close to the microphone. This is what good radio talkers do as well.
*Roguelite
Also idk about being the hardest because there's a lot of more niche or obscure roguelikes/roguelites out there that will absolutely kick your face in. There's also the fact that the pacts of punishment beyond 20 is purely optional(25 if your in hell mode) and it's not required to progress through the game while other Roguelikes I've seen are just brutal from the get go.

Hades definitely deserved to win so many awards. So much about it is incredible. And it even revolutionized the rogue-lite genre. This game is how rogue-lites should be done.
Also this game is probably the easiest rogue-lite game because it doesn't have a lot of what makes rogues difficult - BS RNG. Most rogues have true random power-ups, which means that the average player (not counting hardcore players and speedrunners), will often end up with powers that won't help them win.
And in Hades, even if you don't win, you're still getting stronger and getting more chances for dialogue and story. You don't start from zero in Hades and this makes the game so much more accessible.
And then you learn that the voice actor for both Zagrius and Skelly he's also the music composers for the entire game and sings many of the vocals in those songs

Dang fine use of Poseidon's god power, and no mistake. All too easy to get nervous at low health, do something foolish or just fail to keep up with the boss' last-ditch attacks, and end up right back in the blood pool...

Technically the Multiverse Monarch being Watcher of All Existence is beyond Gods, even more hot, yet not an asshole.

I still love how Athena, one of the three goddesses unaffected by Aphrodite’s love powers, is the first one people meet. Idk why, but I love the ace queens

@@brendanmystery Yes, all of the Olympians other than the three I listed are affected by Aphrodite and Eros’ love magic. It’s even why Zeus fears Eros; Eros can manipulate him to do what he does best-

Little fun fact : Skelly and Zagreus are the same VA (and the signing of Orpheus). When I found out I wondered, how many did he got a blast at it like Nagito and Makoto from Danganronpa (they are the same VA)

That's super impressive, I never would have placed them as being the same voice actor.
Especially considering that, from what I've heard, the actor isn't even a professional voice actor normally, he's mainly composes music for games and only occasionally does voice work.

My first introduction to Hades (before ever playing) was a friend of mine doing Hades fan art. I remember very clearly that the first pieces of hers I saw were of Dionysus and Meg, and I don't think I've ever been as down bad for characters I knew nothing about, than I was seeing those art pieces.

I mean, a lot of the stories of gods bedding with mortals sadly were non-consensual, but there were also more than a few where the mortals were down for the fun times. And you can definitely see why

Yup. She's been doing Vtubing since December of last year. While her content can be a bit cringy, she is really fun to watch and her personality shows. Her stream is especially fun with she does collab with other Vtubers, and those are ones I laugh the most.
What was she before she was a vtuber?
