Skelly didn't put himself as a model for the statues lol. It was a miscommunication problem with the sculptor, as they would've original been statues of Zagreus
On trading - I think, Zag would also be weirded out by statues of his baby sister looking like that. I mean, it's Greek mythology, but SGG generally tones that stuff down 😅

Have you even played Hades 1? Skelly, the skeleton guy, challenge you to beat the game with more difficulty just to embarass you with his "surprise". That's the joke and it carries on to the sequel. I think majority of the problems you have on this game can be solved by just playing the 1st game first.
defeat chonos multiple times until the statues get put, then its just the same unlock conditions than on the first game, where you have to clear the game with the oaths(8, 16 and 32)
