Great teaching!Such a help to see the professor talking in terms of technique of left and right hand, "how" to make musical aspects and phrasing and not just: please play with more feeling or please play in tune.....I always want to ask my teacher, "please explain how to do it". Thats why I find this masterclass amazing and its the perfect way of teaching and showing.Really bravo for this wonderful work Mr. Troussov!

Dear Mr.Troussov, I am a big fan of your playing, and now also a big fan of your teaching method. Myself I am not a musician, unfortunately. I am always watching your videos as soon you post them. It is fantastic to see you teach on the same top quality as you play as a soloist. You are one a few who can do both. Your describing of technical and musical problems and the approach are remarkable, even though I am not a musician, as mentioned before. Wish you all the best for your future. Kind regards

There is nothing like it and never was on Tube, neither before nor after! It is a pity for those who do not understand dictionary explanations in English, but even without this, this lesson of the highest skill is unforgettable in its emotional fullness and Kirill's fantastic ability to convey to the student his understanding of the interpretation of such a seemingly understandable work!

I’ve never had a violin teacher, owing to financial reasons. I’ve been using the same $80 violin and cheap bow since past 5 years. At times I get frustrated. Still, I practice everyday, without fail, knowing completely well I might be one of the most terrible violin player out there.
This video makes want to keep practice art. Most masterclasses don’t focus on details technique like varying vibrato and bow pressure. This is very very helpful. Thank you !

It's interesting how from my almost layman perspective (because I gave up the violin early in the game) it seems to me that the student already is really really good, and he is, but then the teacher's input and tips make a lot of sense and a difference. It's as though at this level developing the technique is just as important as developing style and expressiveness.
