I thought I was playing violin for 30 years. After listening to Augustin, it's painfully obvious I have never played violin. That's just insane. Bravo ....
I have been able to say hello personally, on more than one time, during his tours of Europe and besides being a great violinist he is a very kind person. He is a nice and polite man. He is a number one.
When I just saw this on top of my feed I thought - I must confess - oh no, not another Sarasate Carmen Fantasy!!! And as always with Mr Hadelich I simply couldn't turn it off...just totally different from the endless round of 'virtuoso' renditions... new life breathed into every phrase, every note... What can I say? Merci beaucoup, Augustin!
There isn't a single time that I watch a video of yours and i dont leave with an incredible will to play my violin. You're such an example and it is so satisfying to watch you play. You're my vision of what peak tecnique looks like, smooth and clean. Plus the phrasing and emotion. I long to be like you one day. Much love!
It is not only playing the violin, it is... What the hell is it? It is the incomparable mixture of virtuoso technique and immense musicality. Paired with an unobtrusive but extremely precise presentation. Ok, I know it now: Augustin Hadelich is not only playing the violin... ...he lets his soul speak from it.
When Augustin does something on the violin, it looks SO easy and natural. This is the only version i know of which measures up an old recording of Ruggiero Ricci that I first heard as a kid. My wife is singing along to this as I watch in amazement.
The most musical, interesting violinist nowadays, great musician and amazing violinist, an explosive combination, always wonderful phrasing and elegance!
It doesn't matter whether it's Sarasate or Waxman Carmen Fantasy! As long as Augustin is the one performing, it would be the best in my book!!! Best violinist and piano accompanist!!
ECSTASY: def. = rapturous delight. an overpowering emotion or exaltation; a state of sudden, intense feeling. the frenzy of poetic inspiration. mental transport or rapture from the contemplation of divine things.
The e string sounds so nimble and flight like... while the g string has a suspending deepness that almost locks a gravitational pull into itself....great contrast for a piece as variant as this one!!!!!
Just listened to one of his older recordings, it’s amazing what four years does to an already astounding violinist. Truly, I am spoiled with having the best of the best at the disposal of my ears
When I heard you, Mr.Hadelich, I realized that I had never heard music before. There are no words to appreciate your genius. So heartfelt, to tears, so joyful, to the feeling of complete happiness. Be blessed
I know when I hear Augustin play I'm going to be treated to a fresh and exquisite performance. Never disappointed. The effective use of virtuosity under the control of Sarasate's musical sensibilities is a wonder to behold. Imagine hearing such music over a hundred years ago! Thanks
I played second violin for the regular Bizet orchestral score when I was 15 and went home in tears begging to be allowed to quit because I found it so hard! This arrangement is amazing but sounds so fiendishly difficult that I can’t imagine surviving the first couple of bars!
Listening to your gift of music makes me smile, face and my heart. I strive to one day have enough tools in my music box that allows me to express myself through my violin playing. 👏 👏 👏 and thanks for sharing the gift.
I am always impressed by the way Hadelich relaxes me when he plays the most virtuous and difficult pieces ... with what delight and calm says it all. Bravo
Phenomenal, other-worldly performance. Unlike so many who simply display their technique to point to themselves, Augustin uses his technique to display the beauty and power in the composition through his incredible musicality. Others have technique, Augustin knows how to use it to achieve artistry.
This the absolute best you can be. There's others as better as him, but this is simply perfect imo. His intonation is astonishing, couldn't imagine anything better.
How modest can you be accompaning yourself on a keyboard... Just a few "homevideos" from Augustin Hadelich in Corona times and every one could be a CD recording. A CD with Keyboard and I would buy it - but he uploadet it on youtube that everyone can watch it for free! Amazing! Thank you very much!
Fabulous! I am looking forward to concerts resuming so I can see you perform in person. Last time I waited too long to buy tickets (scheduling conflicts) and you were sold out. Not making that mistake again! SLSO needs you back on their schedule! :)))
His chords and double stops in the beginning of fantasy are so amazing and warm He should play the accompaniment on the violin because he is just so good
What beautiful playing! Mind blowing! After listening to this I inquired about concerts and could not believe you were coming to Montreal in December! Then I discovered it was cancelled... Sigh :( Do hope it's rescheduled ... I would love to attend one of your performances. Thanks for playing for us on You Tube! :) Pamela
Absolutely fantastic interpretation! Thank you Augustine for such a wonderful performance! If you could a video with "E lucevan le stelle" or " Schindler's list", that would be amazing, I am personally very curios how they sound from your hands and violin!
Absolutely brilliant- all the flirtatious character of Carmen and bravura abandon of the highest virtuosity. Totally convincing- wonderful in every way!
What is really striking is how relaxed he is playing these incredibly complex and difficult passages. It's so hard not to tense up playing these things.
Awesome purple shirt? Check. Ludicrously difficult music? Check. Hands at the ready? Check. LIFTOFF! Seriously, what beautiful and thrilling and awe-inspiring playing.
Das ist wunderbar. Eine der schönsten Versionen, die ich gehört habe. Ich stecke so fest, mir fehlen die Worte, es ist wirklich erstaunlich. Super, Dankeschön.
And as if this playing wasn't enough... He can be his own rep, hahaha!!! Augustin, you are OUT OF THIS WORLD. I am so happy I will always be able to tell my future grandchildren that I was privileged enough to see you playing (and more than once!) here in São Paulo. Bravissimo!!!
Thank you Augustin! You sound so marvelous! Chocolate for the ears. Cleanest playing of this piece I have ever heard. Every note is paid attention to and every note speaks.
I just discovered all of the wonderful pieces you've been posting. Thank you Thank you Thank you!!! This gives me so much peace and hope. My husband and I saw you perform in Pittsburgh a few years ago and you are incredible. I cannot wait to see you perform again in person.
PLEASE DO BRUCH VIOLIN CONCERTO there is no recording anywhere online of the the full 1st movement or full concerto and i would so love to hear your rendition
Yes! I would love to hear it, too! He played it at the Aspen Music festival, but it isn’t played on RUclips. I’m not sure if it was recorded and/or who has the rights to it, if it was. 😔❤️
Back to listen again. I play classical guitar, so I don't know what your strings are tuned to but your tone on the low strings is soooo big smooth, and sometimes powerful when required. Just love hearing you play Ahhh the harmonics! Sad and playful same time
Big fan of this piece. Perlman, Shaham, and Hadelich! I had tears of joy and amazement! Great audio too. Got to see you in Grand Rapids Michigan at the saint Cecelia music center what a treat!
How insane is it that we can watch this kind of content for f r e e
And he puts out so much of it!
Thanks so much for this Mr. Hadelich
It's bordering on absurd.
The hours of this man's life put into making this content is insane.
We are indeed blessed!
@@Thecyclingeconomicsdoc Thank God for this Man and thank this Man for justifying human existence.
Well it is content and time well spent. I can't wait to hear him live i will pay the ticket no matter the cost.
Incredible man
I just realised it's also him on the piano
I thought I was playing violin for 30 years. After listening to Augustin, it's painfully obvious I have never played violin. That's just insane. Bravo ....
He’s playing the violin and I am played by the violin 😂
😂 Feels like that, sure! But at some point, you have to give yourself some credit, violin is a high skill ceiling instrument :)
I have been able to say hello personally, on more than one time, during his tours of Europe and besides being a great violinist he is a very kind person. He is a nice and polite man. He is a number one.
That is the cleanest sul G sound!
I also second that. This sounded like a new piece to me. Augustin made this repertoire staple sound fresh and unique
You don't have any idea what you're talking about but I respect the fact that you appreciate Augustin as much as I do... Endless renditions 🙄...
Oh un français ça fait plaisir
I too feel bad every time I have to pause it for some outside distraction.
Much love!
Yes, exactly, me too!!! It`s just pure magic, thank you so much, dear Augustin!
I love your poetic comment
I feel just like you! 😊 Mr. Augustin is like a heavenly gift for all of us... 🌟
5:40 - 6:00
How? Double stops, tremolo, crazy left-hand shifts, with dynamics, at that speed, AND, you can still hear every note clearly? 🤯
Don’t forget the intonation
I think it's even harder cuz it's not tremolo but triplets
and let's not forget the clear as crystal artificial harmonics too. Great performance from both of him.

The most musical, interesting violinist nowadays, great musician and amazing violinist, an explosive combination, always wonderful phrasing and elegance!
Sometimes I think I’m dreaming When I hear Augustin.
Favourite violinist hands down... im just veeeeeery glad that youtube and the Internet exists.
EVERYTHING YOU PLAY, LITERALLY EVERYTHING IS PERFECTION AND I MEAN PERFECTION!
I was hypnotized by this video.
This violin (ex. Szeryng) accentuates your deep tone and wide vibrato a lot!
The absolute control of both right and left hand are mindblowing(in piano as well😂)... .
It doesn't matter whether it's Sarasate or Waxman Carmen Fantasy! As long as Augustin is the one performing, it would be the best in my book!!! Best violinist and piano accompanist!!
Fourty years l play a violin as orintel musician l can't imagine how he plays so smoothly oh my god
The world is better because of you!!
When he plays, it looks so easy! Super gifted.
Remarkable. Such a clean, powerful tone, his violin skills are far superior to those of some more famous names around....
ECSTASY: def. = rapturous delight.
an overpowering emotion or exaltation; a state of sudden, intense feeling.
the frenzy of poetic inspiration.
mental transport or rapture from the contemplation of divine things.
The best interpretation of this piece ever
Dear Augustine, please tell me -- would you like to play *Poeme Elegiaque* by Ysaÿe in the future?
I would love to hear you do it!
The e string sounds so nimble and flight like... while the g string has a suspending deepness that almost locks a gravitational pull into itself....great contrast for a piece as variant as this one!!!!!

You are THE MASTER of the violin! Heifetz could have learned a thing or two from you Augustin
I’m about speechless. Just amazing. The bravura was on another level!!
My favorite violinist!!
thanks .... i really believe that you are one of the best with the violin
It looks so natural for him ...Smooth asf!! 10/10

Great!!! Augustin!!! Thank you so much!!❤👏👏👏
I'm still quite bad with my violin but those tones of yours way u play inspires me
This interpretation is so lovely that it made me smile!
Phenomenal, other-worldly performance.

Wonderful dear Augustin!!!!
This must be recorded! We need an Album of the Great Agustin Hadelich.
Maestro. Beautiful🎻🎶
So much skill driven by matchless heart and soul

Increible! Demostrando como se toca el violin!! Genio total 👏 Saludos desde Argentina.
Truly a masterpiece
Fabulous! I am looking forward to concerts resuming so I can see you perform in person. Last time I waited too long to buy tickets (scheduling conflicts) and you were sold out. Not making that mistake again! SLSO needs you back on their schedule! :)))
The fact that Augustin can play both violin and piano amazingly even without a page turner tells us that he is an extraordinary musician. amazing!
His chords and double stops in the beginning of fantasy are so amazing and warm
He should play the accompaniment on the violin because he is just so good

Wonderful!
I had to listen to this twice. Sooooooo good!
Your phrasing really is something else! The whole piece flowed so naturally!
Absolutely fantastic interpretation! Thank you Augustine for such a wonderful performance! If you could a video with "E lucevan le stelle" or " Schindler's list", that would be amazing, I am personally very curios how they sound from your hands and violin!

Bravo!!!!! Beautiful sound!!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🎻🎻
Well, I'm not a violinist but I love how beautiful you play. Is like the music touch my soul.
Love this piece, even more impressive that you play the piano with it too. Hope to see you live some day.
As amazing as always. One of the best renditions I've heard
Gentile sig. Hadelich il modo in cui lei suona è coinvolgente, emozionante, liberatorio, meticoloso, amorevole. Non smetterei mai di ascoltarla!
Awesome purple shirt? Check. Ludicrously difficult music? Check. Hands at the ready? Check. LIFTOFF!
Seriously, what beautiful and thrilling and awe-inspiring playing.

Mythic Maestro
Amazing !!! I'm glad I found you on YT a year ago , you're such a well-rounded violinist 🙏🏻🎻
Bravo, Maestro.
🎻The violin is perfect and wonderful, but the piano is also interlocking and interesting.
There are plenty of technically astounding players out there.. that's easy to see. But you, my friend, have the passion to back it up
Bravo, Augustin! Thank you for another spirited and inspiring performance!
This brought so much joy to my heart!
Maniac. Well and truly incredible. Your playing is so very inspiring. I could give 1000 more compliments.

Your playing is just intoxicating and hypnotic I have never heard such beauty and phrasing and emotion by any other violinist ever.
Each video shared by Augustin continues to surprise me with his great talent. I loved !!!!

Is he human??Surely this is a god playing
Especially the final variation! So much energy and perfect shifts!
I must say, it’s entirely possible!
Wow! My first time stumbling upon this guy. Amazing playing.
