When I just saw this on top of my feed I thought - I must confess - oh no, not another Sarasate Carmen Fantasy!!! And as always with Mr Hadelich I simply couldn't turn it off...just totally different from the endless round of 'virtuoso' renditions... new life breathed into every phrase, every note... What can I say? Merci beaucoup, Augustin!

It is not only playing the violin, it is... What the hell is it?
It is the incomparable mixture of virtuoso technique and immense musicality. Paired with an unobtrusive but extremely precise presentation.
Ok, I know it now: Augustin Hadelich is not only playing the violin...
...he lets his soul speak from it.
