4 years after Chloe Sensei taught Brett and Eddy this piece, we finally get to hear it in its entirety. Singaporeans have been so lucky to have had her live performances all these years and the SSO has done a superb job of supporting her. After daily practice routines which include Paganini caprices, Paganiniana is a walk in the park for Chloe. I am sure she will continue working on technical virtuosity, which she has in abundance, but as she continues her education, a deepening understanding of music generally will help her in the area she wants and needs to become a better musician. She already is, as a number of people have commented, a world class violinist. She will get even better if she continues on this trajectory. Thank you for this upload!
It WOULD BE LITERALLY ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE for you to be MORE RIGHT IF YOU TRIED!!!!!!!!!!! (When I use block capitals it is to emphasize what I say, not shout.) Julie Gill, Glasgow, Scotland.
What a privilege to be able to witness the transition of a prodigiously talented child into a sublime artist of transcendent skill and interpretation. Literally had tear running down my face. There's no doubt in my mind that she will take her place as one of the most exalted musicians of this time and possibly in the conversation for the best ever.
have others by Milstein, Veriko Tchumburidze, In Mo Yang, Guy Braunstein to mention some, and now ofc chloe chuas recording which is really impressive!!
Oh my gosh, I was there when I heard it live.(I went on the first day) This was the highlight of the night. As stated previously, I went on the first night, and no one was expecting Chloe to play it solo since the programme book only stated Paganinia and nothing more. But then, after wrapping up the fifth piece, Issac just left the stage, and everyone in the audience was dumbfounded. I was seated on the balcony, and I could see lots of ppl turning their heads ard to look at their friends as if to ask,'There's no way she's gonna play solo, is she?" But then Chloe just stood there on stage and started tuning her violin. The concert hall was so quiet except for Chloe and her violin, it's like watching an Olympics match. Then Chloe squared her shoulders, planted her feet into the ground, and took a deep breath. The concert hall was so tense, but Chloe absolutely shredded that tension when she started playing Paganinia. Also, when she's playing the violin alone in the concert hall, you can literally hear every sound it makes. All of us in the audiences were 110% focused on Chloe's playing. When she finished playing, the whole concert hall applauded so loudly, and everyone was just cheering. (And it went on for a while) When my friends and I were leaving the concert hall, there were lots of ppl saying,'What am I doing with my life, man' or 'what just happened, that was insane' because a lot of us were still trying to process what was going on. Afterwards, when I asked my non classical listener friend on her thoughts, even she was blown away. I will definitely remember this concert, specifically this performance, for a long time to come. This was the third Chloe's concert I went to and I'm so glad that I managed to watch it live.
I've only realised there was audience present at the very end of the video. It was so quietly around. I'm so envious of those who can watch Chloe Chua performances live in Singapore.
@@kerolokerokerolo For sure. I think that the original comment simply meant that Chloe would likely be among the greatest violinists in the next generation of performers, and would be the favorite performer for many people because of her outstanding technique. Also, music can be a competition sometimes, in music competitions😅
To have talent is one thing, and to have skill on top of that is another. That is where most good musicians rest, but Chloe Chua has a musical sense that touches the heart of the music and she shares that with us.
Have been partially deaf for about 6 weeks (tinnitus, no overtones, etc.) and so ceased all music. But today by some miracle things went back to normal and this one appears on my YTube screen. Of course she is famous for her exceedingly beautiful intonation, but let me tell you just how this sounds after weeks of nothing : Jaw dropping, absolutely stunning. Thank you and Brava! Stunning.
I'm glad your hearing is has somewhat improved but like all of us we are subject to the poisons that are in what passes as food and if the offending substance responsible is consumed the inflammation is likely to return. Meat is the ultimate elimination diet.Look into getting on a grass fed ruminant animal diet for a few weeks and then if you can tolerate eggs, butter and bacon but only incrementally and only one at a time.If you don't have adverse symptoms then add more things like fish and other animal types of food. We humans require no carbs/sugar/seed oil to be healthy.I know of more than a few people who followed this type of eating and actually regained hearing as well as sight and reduced mental issues as well. My brother has almost reversed his tinnitus and he was told that it would never get better because of the damage to his ears from explosives and gun fire as a US Navy Seal for 17 years.
Chloe Chua is the treasure of Singaporean. Singaporean People are proud of the fact that Miss Chloe Chua is talented violinist and contribute on enrich Culture of Singapore.
Yeah, take a bow little one, that is some incredible playing! she is no longer a child prodigy/ virtuoso anymore, she is a bona fide one of the best violin players on the planet.
Chloe had been playing for 70 minutes before she gave this magnificent performance. We now have the Vitali and Veracini with which she began the recital. Hopefully the rest - the two works by Tartini and the Locatelli violin concerto - will be posted too.
Eddy and Brett, are you watching? This piece could be one of little more than superb technique and virtuosity. Ms. Chua adds layers of interpretation, of beauty and musicality, that make it so much more. I am so grateful to be able to listen to this.
She plays every note confidently with a full tone, observing every dynamic while adding her own individual phrasings, rubato and expressions, in a performance filled with energy and momentum. Magnificent.
I put this on to fall asleep I was so very wrong There is so much punch and energy with this piece I am fucking pumped up I feel like fighting a whole people This is so incredibly powerful Goddamn
Thank you Chloe! To call this performance "flawless" would be insulting - between "flawless" and this amazing performance is an unbridgeable chasm, separating "lack of mistakes" from supreme achievement. This performance sets a high mark that perhaps nobody else will ever exceed. The perfection of technique is beyond imagination, the tone of this violin and the audio recording are amazing.
Very solid techniques. And I like her tone. The final product is not a showing off one but a beautiful arts work which is very important. I hope I can hear her Bach solo works and Mozart sonatas in the future as I think these three composers' violin works are the most difficult ones except Schubert's fantasy.
Unbelievable playing. You have absolute mastery over phrasing, intonation, and sound. You have been chosen to play the violin by God's angels. Practice alone cannot explain your control over this very difficult instrument at such a young age - like Heifetz, like Ricci, like Menuhin - an incredible prodigy.
it doesn't get any better than this. this is one of the best violin performances that I've ever heard, and I have heard many. I have never heard the beginning of this piece (the theme) played better than this. she just keeps getting better and better. bravo Chloe! ❤️
The way I stop and drop everything to get my earphone and listen to Chloe Sensei.... And she did SPECTACULAR 😭 I mean duh, it's THE Chloe sensei, one of the legendary LingLing, ofc she ATEEEE
Chloe Chua simply amazes me. She hasn't studied in Harvard or Stanford, curse me for the intended mistake, only homegrown violin prodigy in Singapore, in which I don't know of any violin teacher of note. She seldom looks at the fingerboard, unlike Jascha Heifetz who didn't keep his eyes off the fingerboard. I used to play the violin with eyes closed, too, like Chloe. And I used to practice inside the bathroom when I was a teen. I can still play the violin. Once a violinist, always a violinist.
Bravisimo!!! Chloe, no matter how many times I watch your performances I am ever in awe of your refind skill and moreso in the the passion and interpretation of eveything you perform. I am deeply touched and moved. And as your success and noteriety have exploded over the years, you remain humble and appreciative and that makes you even more special. Thank you for your tremendous hard work and for sharing with the world the blessings God has given you. You are truly so many lovely things wrapped up in one and you make a difference. Thank you!! As well, a special thanks to the SSO for showcasing Chloe's talent in the Symphony by bestowing her as the Resident Artist and for unselfishly sharing your stunning recordings for the world to admire. You are deeply appreciated.
Incredible clarity, dead in tune, and such a beautiful sound. She has that slight edge/bite on the start of each note that gives the clarity and works very well in Paganini. The glorious cantabile phrasing she can create is another great part of her playing.
In addition to her characteristically awesome display of precise control, with beautifully expressive bowing and phrasing, Chloe's dramatic use of dynamics has grown recently.🎆🎻Happy 2025!
The performance Chloe gave of Tartini's sonata "Devil's Trill" earlier in this recital has been posted now for SSO channel members. It is absolutely out of this world!!

Btw that's actually not a photo of Paganini
@Andrei11t correct, as already mentioned in the video description.
@zaaplol5777 ah, lol, my bad

Not Asian!!!!!
The fact that this released publicly just after TwoSet said goodbye... she's still Chloe Sensei to TwoSetters.
where did TwoSet go?
@@DarkPa1adin they announced they will no longer be active online and posted a goodbye message
They’re back officially, but they aren’t anymore the Brett and Eddy we knew…
@@ItsMeHiHelloo it's quite the opposite actually, they officially retired from social media. Those last videos were a goodbye gift for the fans
TYHIS IS HOW I FIND OUT??????????????????????
She played it so musically that I forgot how insanely difficult this piece is👏
Yes, the musicality is stunning, particularly in the slow variations.
same I was thinking...wait is this piece really that hard. Then I was like YES😂
