  • Typical of J.G. Schoenfelder's instruments, this violin has a clean, fresh, and smooth tone that is reinforced with power and resonance. It showcases further classic Schoenfelder characteristics, including a one-piece spruce top, a maple back with fine grain, delicate purfling close to the edge, and a dainty and elegant scroll. Truly one of the more masterful examples of early Markneukirchen violin making, this lovely instrument has been recently restored and is ready to play the most challenging musical repertoire.

I’m amazed that a violin that old can still sound this good.😊

The good ones only get better with age! 🙃

All Stradivaris and Guarneris are older (~1670-1744).
Check out youtube atonalhits channel, they played a Maggini from 1610, Amati from 1588 and da Salo from 1560 (!!!) and they all sound incredible!
