I don't play the violin, I'm a amateur singer and I was mesmerized by this wonderful masterclass. It resonated in my way of apprehending singing and I'm sure it will help me ! Merci beaucoup M. Troussov, vous êtes merveilleux.

Now I have seen this masterclass a million times, I am practicing this one too next to the 5th sonata. Trying to adapt all tips. You're not only a good violinist, but also a great teacher who explains the music very well. And the student is a very good learner.

Just perfect, how he so clearly describes what he would improve ("is it Piazzolla?") but never is impolite or rude. As an amateur violinist I just feel how he tries to bring the good performance to a superior one (although I will never achieve even the original level)

Wonderful masterclass! I am a singer, but this takes me back to my masterclass days when I was young. Mr. Troussov plays like a singer! Norman is already very good, but the things you have shown him here will make the difference between "good" and "excellent." I enjoyed this so much and look forward to more.

Whenever I am not inspired to practicing (I am an amateur) I watch this video or your tutorial on the Carmen Fantasy and it works all the time: After some minutes I am so inspired and eager so I just need to practice myself. Within two seconds you make not only your musical idea clear but also teach the engineer in each violinist how to reach the goal of this musical expression technically - wow! Hardly ever questions or doubts remain. If I had a wish free it would be more such tutorials of you on this platform. Thank you for this inspiration and knowledge

What a terrific masterclass! Norman plays very well, very musically with an excellent tone, but you were able to add so much from the perspective of a concert violinist who knows how capture an audience and take them on a more dynamic ride. It was the difference between "That's lovely" and "that's f...... Beethoven!" Plus you showed him how technically and he responded. No pretension - it was all about performing Beethoven effectively. Bloody good pianist too!!

....I just discovered this great violinist. I was listening to the great Aaron Rosand playing Bruch 'Scottish Fantasy' with piano and saw Mr. Troussov on the queue list. I thought I'd give it a listen since I've never heard of him. Like Heiftez and Rosand , he doesn't use the shoulder rest, and has mastered the wrist vibrato.
