Good video but I'd point out that the control in the lower right front is adjustable and should work fine set at the halfway mark from "off" This freezer isn't like a frost-free refrigerator-freezer most of us have in our kitchens. It doesn't have the extra motors for the fan(s) that are used in those models. It only has one moving part, the compressor that moves the freon through the tubing in the freezer walls. The compressor is sealed inside a metal dome-like structure beneath the freezer compartment. It's commonly painted black and will have 2-4 tubes coming from it. The freon is pumped through the tubes. Unless your hearing is good and the room is quiet, you will have a hard time hearing it run under most conditions. If you are concerned about whether it is running or not, you should be able to hear it by putting an ear up to the side or top of it. From a room temperature start-up, it will take several hours to be freezing inside. Best to wait until then, before you load it, especially if all your groceries aren't frozen already. Once the freezer is full of frozen items, it will run less often. Hope I added some good info for you.
I just bought one today from Lowes , same price , I powered it up and samething happened no green light , so I give it some time and started to get some frost on the inside , it's working, it runs really quiet that's good , thanks for the good information .
Thank you for that information. I was wondering about that. Just brought the 7.0 2hs ago. Haven’t did anything yet. I knew it had to set unplugged but I didn’t know for how long. Thank you 😊
Hey thanks for that review. I own the larger 7.1. Just purchased the 5.1. Didnt see the green light. Noticed it wasn't even available on this model. Figured it was a flaw. Turns out was by design
Thank you nice instructions, I'll be purchasing one from Lowe's. I need more Space in my Frigerator freezer also, it always good too hear other people reviews.
Hi thank you for this video so much. I bought the same one this month also. Did you clean the inside of the the freezer before you put your food in? And did you had any trouble using the temperature button? I pressed it but it would not hardly move. Thank you for your response. Larry in georgia.
@@jiarich901 hey jia i went and bought me a Hotpoint deep freezer and i love it, it works perfectly for me because i can pretty much put everything i really need in it.
I'm glad you made this video, I freaked out because I was thinking there was suppose to be a green light.
It's working great.
Thank you

People when you get these you have to let them sit for 3 to 5 hrs,to allow the refrigerant to settle

Great review video on the HotPoint freezer Jia, done well
Thank you! We have the same problem and also panicked.
Thank you!!! I freaked out too lmao
Light is not needed. Get a temperature device and place it in the freezer that way you know it is working.
Thanks
Very good video. Thank you.
Thank you so very much for this overview. I'm thinking about getting this freezer. Do you know what the interior dimensions are?
I thought the same thing. No light and it runs very quite, but overall a good freezer
After you had it now for some time, how's it holding up? I was thinking of buying this, but not sure of the longevity.
