None of the stores near me even sell soft or medium tofu, it's ridiculous. I think I'd have to go the international market to find it, possibly Whole Foods.

You should definitely try adding some chopped up slightly overcooked pasta to your egg salad. It brilliantly replicates the look, texture and taste of those bigger bits of egg you get in the cruelty included version. Absolute game changer when we tried it. Keep up the sterling work 🌱

Love cooking simple meals like yours, I don't like being in the kitchen for too long. My go to meal is pan fried tofu with a sauce and veggies on the side.
In one of your videos, you said that people watch your videos because they like eating healthy not because they like eating (aka they are foodies). Buddy, I am a big foodie. I do eat primarily healthy homecooked food but I do eat junk as well. I just loveee food and your food actually makes me want to eat healthily, not because of the health factor but because of how appetising they look!!!

First I'd like to say I love your recipe videos and I'm not trying to be judgy, but just in case you were not aware of this I wanted to share it with you. The life expectancy of an indoor cat is 10-15 years but the life expectancy of an outdoor cat is only 2-5 years. I know your cats aren't strictly outdoors, but there is an extra risk involved when they are let outdoors. As I said, I'm not judging, I'm just informing. Take care. :)

People would be well served to realize that raw greens and vegetables contain the best quality, bioavailable protein there is. Fruit as well. Following that might be the other plant sources. The nutrition profile and healing properties are unmet. Spinach... raw ...carries higher nutrition thank when cooked...and oxalates and kidney issues are a false story out there. Thank you. As always your food looks great. It’s a bit disingenuous to say it’s an egg salad it’s a tofu salad not an egg salad. Does not have the same macro nutrients as well
Another beauty of a video mate. Loved that tofu egg salad! Had to sub half a purple onion (finely diced) for your green onions tho, cos we were out. (Gave it a nice little crunch) Also i had no pickles left in my jar, so just added a tbs of the juice/marinade from the jar. Was great! Didnt even miss the pickle! And the bit of liquid made my egg salad a wee bit softer, which i found extra good. PS..Your cat closing her eyes as if to say My Daddy Loves Me, when u kissed her & told her she wont get wet in the garage...was EVERYTHING!

I am in Canada, and I am so glad you shared your tahini tip in one of your earlier videos. I shop at SS all the time, and had not seen this brand until you mentioned it and I love it, and it is so much better than the other brand I was buying. A little tip for you is to use the pickle juice in place of vinegar in salad dressings, or in homemade hummus, or just have a shot of it for gut health!! Cheers!!
I cook up tons of chickpeas and freeze them so that they are already done. I eat them often and this saves so much time. Dried is so much cheaper. I should really do this with lentils and I heard that frozen rice is good too so I might experiment with freezing some.

Derek and Crystal, you two are awesome! I've been on a WFPB diet for a little over a year now and watched countless RUclips videos of different recipes. The thing is, most RUclipsrs present overly complicated/time-consuming recipes or recipes that utilize highly processed packaged foods as a key component. Your "chill" attitude and simple/easy to follow recipes give me the confidence I need to try, and I've been able to successfully replicate them in my own home. Best of all, they are tasty & nutritious so I feel good about eating them. Thank you very much!

Of course there's some vegetables I just don't like myself- but once I started to eat them daily they're way more tastier.
