@@friedsam29 Hi James. Welcome to WFPB living! I've lost another 12 pounds since writing my initial comment 5 months ago and began losing weight almost a year ago. Be patient and kind with yourself as you move thru your own weight loss journey; it's not a quick fix but a complete lifestyle reboot. I pretty much eat a hybrid of Dr McDougall's and Dr. Esselstyn's protocols. I eat zero processed foods, so no flours, salt, oil, sugar, and alcohol. Most of my meals are built around potatoes or sweet potatoes with my plate being 50% starch (potato, beans, grains) and 50% non-starchy veg. Another hack to make your bananas ripen faster is to put them next to some apples. Apples emit a gas that causes fruit to ripen faster, especially if you put the apple and bananas together in a sealed bag, or poke a hole in the apple. Hence the reasoning behind the saying “one bad apple ruins the whole bunch.” 🍎 This also works for ripening avocados. 🥑 Also, i love oatmeal and chickpeas. They both have that flavor that is paradoxically sweet and savory at the same time. They are a match made in heaven i swear. 😋
You reminded me to eat toast with peanut butter (or sunflower butter), with bananas & I top it with a bit of honey. Kale should be organic it’s extremely high in pesticide residue. I don’t think you mentioned that. Great video!

For those who it may interest, raisins are an incredibly calorie dense fruit also, with a good iron content. You can eat a pound or so of raisins, actually maybe even less, and it is 1400 calories or so. Next time you're in the store check the raisin box and be amazed.
Raisins are healthy to eat after being soaked
@@imabina7425 do you think they are not healthy when dried? I could maybe see a little less healthy, but you think unhealthy?
It’s less stress on the digestive system when they are soaked. Roasted nuts are not healthy either
@@imabina7425 ah ok yeah I get what you are saying. I think the dried raisins are still healthy, just not as much as soaked. I do think there is something to water content as well.
Oats, potatoes, leak, cabbage, butterbeans, lentils, apples, carrots, peppers and garlic for me 👍🏻😁
Yeah, you said "In no particular order," but we all knew bananas would be 1st! LOL
