I love Phoenix, but do have to wonder how many coaster that are running PTCs with individual ratcheting lap bars, seat belts and seat dividers would be better with the old school single bench, buzz bar only restraint.

      Amen.
People get ticked when I say this, but your wandering mind and Mine are on the same page.
Comet LOSING their old trains this season in favor of New style ptc trains has practically killed the experience for me, I'm just assuming that means it would kill Phoenix too.

The three Morgan’s are not clones. They may be similar but they’re not the same.
Raging Bull IS a great ride, in the back row. Most of the elements hit, it stinks you didn’t get a good ride. To the locals this is still the best ride in the park. Maxx Force gets a similar wait(no capacity) and Goliath’s is 25-35 minutes almost always.

They're clones to me. Lol Steel Force and Mamba are identical and Wild Thing only has a shorter brake run/turn around.
Same thing with Batman the ride clones, to they're still considered clones even though they aren't indentical in specs either.
I've ridden Raging Bull a dozen times, not just 1 isolated disappointing ride, but in fairness, I've only got the back twice due to assigned seating.

My most underwhelming ride was the ride to happiness. Cheers!!

I was NOT expecting to see this in the comment section!
Is it better than Time Traveler?

@@PRC2019 Haven't done time traveler yet. Do you think time traveler is elite? In ride to happiness defence the day I rode was cold, maybe that was the poblem, it was not fast, the launch was week and it had a strong raddle especially in the back, rode it like 15 times (the park was empty) and it was the same all day.

I had the same experience with Fury. I had it hyped too much in my mind going in. Yeah, it's a great ride but I guess I was expecting something life changing by the way people talk about it. I had the opposite reaction to Apollo's Chariot. I was expecting a snooze fest but enjoyed it with no expectations. I do have to disagree about Phoenix. I knew going in that the airtime was insane but I still came off shocked by it. Maybe you could consider that a one trick pony but that one trick is amazing and unique.

I love one trick Ponies! But only when I'm expecting it to only have 1 trick. Lol

Mamba's midcourse was all but turned off in 2022, from what I gather that return run is vastly improved as such

I had 2 awful rides on back to back days in July 2023. Supposedly, the trims were "off" then too.
Steel Force is the by far, the least trimmed of the 3. I'd prefer if all 3 parks operated theirs like Dorney does.

@@PRC2019 …Weird. I wonder what gives? Everyone made a huge deal of it when they were turned off and this is the first time I’ve ever heard anything to the contrary

      @PRC2019  Месяц назад

@@TheSirenSeeker Maybe calling them awful rides isn't a fair statement on my part, but NOTICABLY weaker and slower all through the second half. Ive hear the trim used to hit even worse in previous years.
I think region by region, everyone kinda has what they're used to.
IE: if you took someone from KC and put them on Steel Force for the first time, I think they'd be shocked at how fast the second half is.

@@PRC2019 Indeed, it used to just about grind to a halt. I did a quick RUclips search and found a POV from August of ‘23 in which they’re, indeed, all but off, so I have to wonder what the hell was going on with it in July. Super weird. ruclips.net/video/AckbPTU9uiM/видео.htmlsi=9hzYlI0Q7xMUtF81

@@PRC2019 If the clips of Mamba you have in this video are from the day you had the bad rides, I can tell you why you had slow rides and it wasn't the midcourse brake. The slow rides were due to wind. The trims have been nonexistent pretty much from some point last season and all of this season. They were very light in 2022 as well but hit a bit harder late in the season. The fiberglass bodies of the cars are big and the wind can really take the bite out of Mamba. A friend worked the ride several years ago and the said wind could add around 45 seconds to the ride. Obviously, that will vary depending on the wind speed and direction. And some of Mamba is on high ground so those areas in particular get the wind more. Once the wind slows it down, it's not recovering.
And while Steel Force and Mamba have all the same elements in the same order, they are not clones. Mamba uses a valley to have a much bigger second drop than Steel Force and the train hits the top speed a second time. The helixes are very different too. Steel Force has much bigger hills on the return run as Mamba has to climb back up the hill, so it has smaller bunny hops on the return. And Wild Thing is basically a nearly completely different beast. Ask the designer, Steve Okamoto if those three are clones and I guarantee you, other than maybe the same lift hill and/or first drops, those rides are all completely different designs. Batman The Rides are clones, other than a few are mirror images.
