Thank you so much !! You have been so helpful in my so far short journey into tattooing I just did my first tattoo at 17 and It came out actually really good I still have to find the right depth but otherwise I’m very happy with how it came out
I have had the small break of skin when packing until I changes direction of the mag. Best to work from the line in so that you don’t overshoot the edge of the tattoo. 🙏poppy
Could you do a video on what questions to ask the client when they first inquire about getting a tattoo. Like how big where at? What are the things you can ask to make sure you give them the best design in the best place
Wow thanks so much for this knowledge it's so nice to be able to learn thats for your generosity towards tatoo skills. Im so much more confident since im watching your videos. Changed my way of tattooing in such a better way.. thanks so much again ❤
You have a video talking about using Lubriderm after tattooing, correct? Bc I have tried looking for that video and I can’t seem to find it. Is there any way you can do a demonstration on what to do after tattooing?
I have a really hard time getting the color to actually go in . I can't tell if I'm using to much pressure or too little or too fast of machine speed or too slow . I'm good with lining just color packing gives me the hardest time . I always end up over working it
Gotta be really careful about asking broad questions like this because it really exposes how much/ little you know about what you're doing. Voltage goes hand in hand with your machine and hand speed... so, there's no actual answer to your question because of the way you asked it.
I feel that real skin its harder to saturate. Been filling in woth 1213M1 today a tatto and kinda took some time to actual fill it not that easy like fake skin
Pls master what voltage are you using on this ? Im sure many kind would want to hear that , ive over worked 3 different skins , if you replied me back , you change my career for life , which i would never forget that , with my skills , and intelligency voltage is just my last problem , hand movement, depth , aint no more , dark color packing is my problem , now i learn something big , give me the voltage and change my career pllssssss 😢,😩😭🙏 i will never forget this !
I’ve used a mag before, and it didn’t saturate well at all so I’ve just been using shaders since. But maybe if I use a small mag it’ll be more efficient?
Be careful using round shaders, you'll over work the skin very easily. The key is slow circles and patience. 9 curved mags will likely do everything you need when saturating
This is a big help..i stuggle to shade on a fat skin..38 yrs old guy..how am i gonna shade fat skin..?do i need to get slow round shading?needle cant penetrate..usually it bounce
it can be tough make sure you have your three points or pressure and you are stretching it out more try adding more pressure with your stretching arm, best of luck
Hey I'm having a problem getting ink to go in my wife's skin, I do have an issue with it just wiping out or being patchy. I do just fine with lines but filling in the center of outlines is just not working on her skin or my wrist. Using #10/#12 07-11RS and #10/#12 03-11RL-LTX and prefer to use round liners and shaders over mags and curved mags. Most of the tattoos I do are to small to fit big mags and I have a harder time judging the needles than on Round Shaders with Long Taper and Round Liners with Long Taper and X Taper. CNC Police Cartridges and Big Wasp brands for needle cartridges. Use Vegan Inks like Dynamic black and other colors and Allegory black. Is it because I'm not using Vaseline on skin or what?
Always try to get a good stretch on real human skin. Unfortunately most fake skins don’t stretch, so you may not be able to stretch it. To get into a good habit, keep your hands in the stretching position while tattooing so that it will be second nature when you do tattoo on real human skin.
@@williamsanchez5191 hey William, we are all trying to learn how to tattoo correctly and it is the right thing to help each other! Good luck and if I can ever help, just let me know!🙏poppy
Does anyone know what he is using to wipe away ink? I can’t seem to get my fake skin clean again even if I dab instead of wipe makes it hard to see what’s actually tattooed
I do tattoo on my own skin. Am doing a phoenix tattoo and When i am filling that tattoo looks perfect but when it's dry and totally healed it's looks litter and i saw patchiness also And here i was thinking that i do 1mm shading with 5 flat niddle why anyones know ?? D answer why it's happening!
Been tattooing myself I’m not sure if it’s how I’m tattooing or after care I lotion it pretty often but on a few of them I get very cloudy healed work how do you recommend I go over the work to fix it
I do this. And it fills the practice skin fine. But doing it on myself it seems to take many many passes. Small circles. Small area.. but have to make multiple passes to get black to stay in. Right at 8 volts. Any tips?
You can tell because it will begin to bleed, and the skin will turn red and may swell. Also a good indication is the person telling you its starting to hurt.
depending on what fake skin you are using its going to start looking like scaly reptile skin if you are overworking it, however translating that to human skin will mean oh boy that person is going to need a skin graph, generally even if a bit of the fake skin is poking through that is fine because human skin is not as dense and will take your needles a lot easier, focus on the technique of figuring out your voltage to hand speed and hand pressure the most and if your serious block in a 1 cm square on your thigh area when you feel confident enough :)
Honestly you wont know most times until it heals like shit. Try to stick to one pass, two max. After the first pass wait a bit let the colors settle in and go back. But like others said it will get red, irritated and start to reject the ink.
curved mags work well and some tattoo artists prefer them just remember it takes a different technique, as the needle points are not flat like a regular mag they have a curve where the middle needles are higher similar to a filbert brush
I think I doing the exact same as this dude says too do. Small circular motions just touching the skin. I'm using triple black ink. Do this technique and nope. Still brown looking haveto go over and over and over and still not black 🤬
Also sounds like you might have a depth issue, get some practice on fake skin until you’re consistent and not overworking it and then try again the same way you’d work on fake skin. Voltage, hand speed, depth, angle, it all has to come together smoothly to make a solid tattoo

How fast are you running your machine in the video?
You explained this the best thank you
Do you have a vid on adding white to black and grey tattoos? Can you give a few tips?
Hei,are you riding the tube while you color packing. Thankful for all your videos you are making.
Sometimes I do depending on the tattoo but I usually prefer to float the needle when I pack color.
If we have some gap, could you fix it when customer comes for touch up session? What would you do if we face that situation?
Thank you.🙏
This is why I come here, I don’t mean this as a jab to other content creators.. but he can explain shit without making a 30 minute video
This is the way
🙌🏾 learned something here, thanks!

Yes it’s called common aftercare mistakes.
Yes!! Thank you so much!

Thank you.. Grateful for your videos..
Picked up on a lot watching bro just the last couple months
This helped me so much thank you
Good video's I'm learning alot
What are you using to clean away the excess ink so well.
Your supposed to use Vaseline or something like it and apply every so often to the area your tattooing to avoid a handful of things
Can you fill a really small area with a round liner??
@Tattiong101 I sumtimes have these problems..Great vid!!& tips👍🏽💥💯💯 (I was just curious at what number are u running ur shader?!?)
You are using a 14 straight mag? Not a curved mag? Also, what voltage did you use for packing here? Thanks!
Would i pack too much even after the skin has healed to go over or would it be ok
My machines don’t have volts.. they have settings 1-5… I usually stay around 3. Do you recommend anything different for saturating an area ??
Do you use Vaseline over stencil then tattooing over it?
Yes i do apply a very thin layer of vaseline on the fake skin before I start tattooing
Okay perfect thank you so much for responding. Would you put the thin layer of Vaseline on skin too?
hey bro I've seen that it looks like the symbol from star wars mandalorian. if so good job. either way I dig the tattoo
What's the best voltage for good saturation?
Depends on the machine I use wand packer and use 7.5 volts i used to use shader and thats like 9 volts

Machine speed?
is 4.0mm stroke and up best for packing.
Any advice for tatting brown/black skin

What size mag is that ?

Is it because I'm not using Vaseline on skin or what?
hi, what's the speed?
What is the best fake skin to use?
Thanks sir ji
Dumb question sorry, but am I supposed to stretch the skin while doing this?
Always keep a tight stretch on the skin .

Does anyone know what he is using to wipe away ink? I can’t seem to get my fake skin clean again even if I dab instead of wipe makes it hard to see what’s actually tattooed
Use Vaseline - it helps lift the excess without staining, making it easier to see your work on fake skin.
@@Tattooing101what's your course cost ? What's in it?
When trying to color in real skin, I always find the mag doesn’t want to go in the skin and actually fill it in? 🤔
Don't let your needle hang out too much, and don't overwork the skin because it will bleed a lot, diluting the ink.
The reason you don't want your needle hanging out too much is because it won't get proper ink flow.
I do tattoo on my own skin. Am doing a phoenix tattoo and

Not deep enough so ink isn’t staying in also could be after care.

It could be either you're moving too fast with your circles, or a needle depth issue too
I clicked bc of your tats. You look lolYou know what you're talking about
how do you know that you are overworking the area? obviously on human skin unless if you know how to tell on practice skin

Its gotta be Flat Mag or can it be curved for packing?
curved mags work well and some tattoo artists prefer them just remember it takes a different technique, as the needle points are not flat like a regular mag they have a curve where the middle needles are higher similar to a filbert brush

hey man, if youre still struggling maybe lower or raise your voltage according to your most comfortable hand speed
Also sounds like you might have a depth issue, get some practice on fake skin until you’re consistent and not overworking it and then try again the same way you’d work on fake skin. Voltage, hand speed, depth, angle, it all has to come together smoothly to make a solid tattoo
Sounds like your running it at 7.3 volts but i could be wrong
