    Dont let these videos take you to anxiety or feeling like you arent ready. ive been artsy all my life, havent drawn for years but thought about more tattoos , was looking at shops and then said why not just get my own kit? Used one shitty practice skin and after that started doing my own on myself cause its all about confidence and not allowing ppl to tell you that you need this and that. Dont program your brain to that unless you really have no experience at all. The first tattoo i did , i love. I even chose a difficult position (my right leg right side of ankle) so uncomfortable; i was like a pretzel, but i love to challenge myself. Just breathe 🧘, & dnt get in your head with doubts! ✨

      Facts. I used to hang out at shops as a kid and got to know a lot of great artists and ALL of them will immediately try to talk people out of tattooing. I’m out of real estate. I’ve tattooed myself with the use of mirrors and cameras, and even learned to tattoo ambidextrously. I’m not an artist, but I can draw if I have an image. It’s very rewarding and I love it when people come up and compliment my work. The look on their face is priceless when they ask where I got my work done and I say, “me.” I’ve done both arms, both legs, and now it’s just a matter of doing fill in, touch up, and putting it all together. Maybe some day I’ll take on some clients.

The first line took me a few tries to get the line in deep enough but after that it was fine. I wasn’t nervous at all but when I struggled with that first line I did get a bit shaky haha. I didn’t anticipate that so watching your video was a good heads up that that was normal. The pain was like my other tattoos honestly it was fine and after a few lines it was actually helpful to know I was getting the lines in to the same depth… it was sitting in the weird position to get to my ankle that was the worst ha. When I made up my mind to learn to tattoo, I'd already been painting for a long time with Acrylics, Oils, Alcohol Based Inks, WaterColor, & some gouache paintings/portraits. I figured my experience as an artist would make the new medium a little easier than somebody who's never created art before.
    There was 1 thing specifically that gave me more knowledge than watching 1,000 RUclips videos ever could: it was when I *FINALLY had finished enough fake skins to commit to a timeline. That involved setting up a dedicated space to work, where I could sit completely focused on the art piece in front of me, stop making excuses to "wait til Monday", & just start pulling lines on actual skin.
    Luckily there is never a shortage of people who want free or discounted ink work so that phase in life gave me the most laid back feeling I've ever had while permanently drawing on somebody, because I would make it crystal clear to them that "THIS IS A FREE TATTOO. You're doing this as a favor to ME so that my tatt skills sharpen up, then everyone wins. With that being said, consider this an even exchange so if you choose to give me 50 bucks for my time, I don't ever want to hear that you got ripped off or that I charged you money for this or anything like that.

    I have a question. I'm a beginner... How many times do you deep the needle in the ink while tattooing?

    • @caiterosemusicofficial
      @caiterosemusicofficial 6 месяцев назад

      You will know when you need to re-dip as it will be like when a pen runs out and starts to fade when you are using it. So to answer your question simply: as many times as it takes, but I recommend only putting a SMALL amount of ink in the pot at a time or you will incur huge waste.

    Awesome channel:) What I find interesting about tattooing myself (been doing it for +10 years) was that it hardly hurts anything at all! I get so focused so I kind of just channel out the pain... But I do shake, especially when tattooing harder to reach areas! (Though the side of the ribs are quite the pain when I think about it haha)

    • @eriklemons5209
      @eriklemons5209 2 года назад +1

      Dip your needle in a cup of distilled water and then touch the needle to a clean paper towel to get the water out. Repeat that until the ink chamber is clear. Or just use a different needle. The black and colored ink won't mix once it's in your skin. Black covers everything.

    Would you still recommend this to a young tattoo artist who is just starting out? I have people who would let me tattoo on them for practice as well as fake skin but for a teen would it be better to wait to be a full adult? I fully believe that I will become a tattoo artist and I want tattoos but should my first tattoo be something I do by myself?
