On the 1st question I was thinking 1203 liner and the 1007 so glad to see I was somewhere close 😂 just got my equipment about a month ago and it’s been a learning curve but it helps a lot to think of it like painting. My problem I’ve been having is parts of lines fading and just being superficial rather than staying in the skin. Which I believe is a result of me not stretching the skin in those areas or moving too fast and too shallow. (Btw I only tattoo myself so the tats I’m referring to are my own, wouldn’t go putting my craziness onto somebody for life, at least not at my current level.)
You know, there are people professionally tattooing that don’t even know this. That’s why I always tell younger tattoo artist coming in to the shop to ask how they can get in a shop, I always tell them that’s they can learn a lot from people on RUclips, and at least hone in on their skills and knowledge. Great vid, one other thing to note could possibly be, bare with me I need to try and put this into words lol, with the thinner gauge needles ie bug pins, it may be worth noting that if you were wanting the line weight to be like a 5rl in a 12 gauge it’s possible you’d need to buy 7rl’s as the gauge is obviously thinner for the bug pins, hope you don’t mind me commenting.
I have a question. Disposable tips have labels like 5ft or 7 rt for example. How do you match them with the needle? I've been trying to just guess, but sometimes i end up with a tip bigger than the needle and stuff like that 😅 thank you very much in advance!
Make sure not only the numbers match but also the configuration. For example a tip that states it’s a 7FT won’t accept a needle that’s a 7RL. Because FT means ‘flat’ and RL means ‘RL’.
