Your music adds so much to your videos, please don't let people tell you that it isn't good. I instantly fell in love with your channel when i first found it. Keep up the amazing work!
@@HennerZeller it really does feel like that with the main channel videos and some of the good lazy videos, like genuine art pieces that Im watching and learning from
Nice! I always rember listening to tracks from _Supermodified_ and thinking how well they'd map to the sounds of my grandfather's thoughts. which ones? All of them.
Short version: it's because the pixels are *next to* each other, so the light from them adds to reach your eyes. When mixing pigments they're more like "on top of" each other, so that each one gets a chance to subtract. So a good CMY matrix display would have to have stacked layers with the ability to change between opaque (to one color) and transparent, sort of like slide film.
Hah, people don't like your background music? It's on them, because it's actually awesome. Yours is one of a couple of my favourite channels when it comes to videography and soundtrack, the others being the awesome Deep Look from PBS, with its insane macro shots and lively, modern tunes, and LGR, with all that great screen capture and soothing jazz. Of course, someone had to combine all that awesomeness with weird, experimental European electronica, and here we are. Keep up the good (and lazy) work!
Wait there are people who don't like your background music??? The tracks you make have always been an extra layer of immersion for the videos when I watch them, they're really good. I've always found them very entrancing and listen to them in my playlists. Don't stop making them please!
Never stop adding music to your videos and following your artistic vision, my friend. Always trust your instincts and your taste, after all, that's why we're all here, to see and hear what you want to show us!
Aw I loved the music from them main video!! The audacity of comments like these really irks me. It’s always the same type of people that reek of ignorance. Hope you don’t let stuff like this get you down! I know that I, and I’m sure most of us here, really enjoy your music! The atmosphere and texture they add to your video experience is always amazing! I genuinely get excited when you post your main videos because I look forward to the music that comes with them!
The music is one of my favorite things about your videos and I really like the heavy effect it had on the atmosphere in a lot of your videos. VFD displays sticks out to me the most. They just wouldn't be the same without it. People who complain about it just don't understand that this channel doesn't just exist to convey information quickly, it's art on its own and people enjoy the style and uniqueness more than anything.
Wait people are complaining about the music??? That's quite possibly my favorite part about watching your videos, I even listen to it on walks because it's so ambient and calming.
0:22 from subtractive to additive : pigments in inks absorb all wavelengths except the ones we perceive, the ones it reflects. Combine three base pigment mixes and you get all wavelength absorption (subtractive interaction) : black. Capture the light it's reflecting with an optical device like a camera, Invert it in a software and you actually make it as if the pigments in ink are actually light sources ( of the wavelengths that they respectively normally absorb) and it becomes additive and thus you get : white. If you take white light and remove green, you're left with the reds and blues which is ..magenta is is actually mind blowing to see it so clearly here! Very nice demonstration !
I love the ending music, I actually go back to listen to it sometimes as it appears in my head. Can you make a video that is just about that song/soundtracked by this song thank you please.
Gallery 3 eInk display (aka ACeP) looks way better than old Kaleido eInk, but at the cost of refresh rate. If my memory is correct every color needs to refresh independently.
Printers work by having only create red, green and blue from subtractive color mixing, and perhaps black. If we include the white from the paper, they end up with exactly 8 colors: cyan, magenta, yellow, red, green, blue, black, white. So how do printers create the thousands of other colors? Not with subtractive or additive color mixing, but with dithering! Dithering is putting dots of the 8 base colors close to each other in various proportions. At sufficient distance, the colors blend together in our vision. So if we develop a screen technology which has pixels which can switch between those 8 base colors, it can create the rest of the colors via dithering. Most screens can't switch pixel colors however. Instead, they just display one fixed hue. But they can switch between various brightness levels all the way to black. When placing three pixels next to each other with fixed red/green/blue, they can do additive color mixing. No dithering needed at all, just three monochrome pixels to create one arbitrarily colored "pixel". However, this "additive subpixel color mixing" doesn't work well for reflective screens, since the screen at best reflects one third of the light a printed sheet of paper would reflect. So the screens would look dark, which gives them poor contrast. E Ink did infeed develop a reflective color screen that can switch between the 8 base colors inside a single pixel. So the screen can do dithering like a printer, which results in high brightness and contrast. But the screen is even slower than the usual E Ink screen which makes it unusable for most purposes.
the video was pretty meh but I loved the weird noises at the end ! More of it please, and less of these stupid explanations nobody understands anyway ! (to be clear, I'm joking, I love both of the explanations and weird musics often accompanying them, you are doing great works Posy !)
I love your photography / videography, it’s amazing, but if we get one less bar of music on your next video, I’m going to riot. How else would I know what my next bandcamp purchase should be?
I know one negative comment can can cancel out 10 positive ones, it's how our brains work unfortunately, so to hopefully counteract the music haters, I'll frame it negatively: Why aren't you putting enough of your music in your videos!? It's distracting when I don't hear it! Unsubscribed. Seriously though, the music paired with the visuals is what made me subscribe back when you had 5k subs. It was refreshingly unique. it is exactly the right vibe for the subject matter. It's like peering down on some weird alien factory when that track plays. There are a thousand educational videos out there with the same old Incompetech stock music, why be number 1001? And your funky mumble song is what made me follow you on soundcloud, so don't listen to any hate for that either.
I can't tell if the left/right mixup at 1:40 is a mistake or just lazyness.
Usually I say it wrong 100% of the time. So yeah... 🤬
Probably both. But remember, this is the lazy channel after all.
Remember, just hold up both hands with the fingers spread out. The hand that makes an ⅃ is your ⅃eft hand!

That was certainly not lazy enough. Also music is great, sounds like if my brain had a soundtrack to building itself.

I adore the "horrible background music" in your videos.
Keep up the amazing work posy! Be it lazy or not 😉
Weirdly, i find your music quite apropriate for the kind of videos you make, it has a certain panache that adds to the overall flavour.
i love your music, the haters dont understand how great it is.

Shame to the people who hate the background music in your videos. It's beautiful ❤

couldnt have said it better myself!
Your score, especially that track in particular, are the core of what makes a Posy video a Posy video. One singular vision, no stock music.

I’ve honestly loved the music, it fits really well and sounds awesome!
Don't worry, your music is really important to those videos and make every video unique (and relaxing IMO)
Your music is what makes your videos special, it's the reason I got hooked, don't change a thing!
I would love to fall asleep to your bg music! It's so trance-y and space-y

The music is one of the best parts of your videos, I have no idea what people are talking about
im a huge fan of the music in your videos. it simply wouldn't achieve the same immaculate vibes with other music

Posy music is great. It adds to the experience.
I cannot fathom how you could write such comments. The music is always one of the best parts of the video
I appreciate background music it's good delightful bouncy
