- In part 3 of my UDS journey I receive and go over my part kit from www.udsparts.com. I am using The Ultimate Kit for this build and on initial look I am super impressed with everything in the kit! This video is the rest of the pre paint work so if you're not wanting to see it Part 4 will be the final video! If you have any questions leave a comment or find Mad Horse BBQ on Instagram and Facebook and shoot me a message!
Here is the link to the kit I used!

Just a tip passed down from my grandpa when I was a kid. If your garage floor isn’t level, then your barrel isn’t level, then making your intake pipe level is actually going to make it crooked. Best to use a digital level and zero it to your barrel.
Awesome video! I even learned about “crocs”! Nicely Done BBQ Brian!
Tom Horsman we need to get you a pair! And thank you MK Tom!
You are going to love It! You are doing it all right! I like that Lavalock square basket and will probably get one for my original drum.
Big Lew BBQ thank you sir I appreciate that! And the lavalock basket is super nice!! 🍻
Ha Ha Ha.......He said Bunghole!
Loving this build........Metal On! \m/
Heavy Metal Bar-B-Que hahaha I did indeed!! And thanks Ken!! 🍻🍻
Dude, nice progress in the UDM. But wear safety glasses. You have a little mad horse you want to be around for.
I have just purchased a disused drum .. which isn't lined but painted .. do I still need to burn out ?thanks ..love your video
Hey thank you! And yes you still need to burn it out.
Does it matter how long/short the intake tubes are? I've seen a wide variety on YT!
Nope it sure doesn’t. I like the tall ones so I don’t have to waste a bend over to adjust them lol
I would've bent the tab downwards instead
Definitely a good idea.
Your good with tools why don't you try making your own parts with some practice welding is easy but for almost 300 $ those parts look great and more paint less rust great video thank you
Jason Patton hey I appreciate that! And I am planning on doing another UDS with just parts from a hardware store. I’ve never welded though. 🍻
@@MadHorseBBQ it's easy with the mild steel you will be using just keep practicing running a straight bead on flat steel watch your wire speed and hot bead you can tell if it 1/2in or 1/4in bead then try putting 2 Peace's together at a 90degree angle I think you will impress your self harbor and fraight has good deals with welders and gas thank you for the great videos and tips
Jason Patton not a problem and thank you for the advice! You should upload a few welding videos for beginners! I’d watch! My garage I’m had a couple 230V outlets already so I should be good to go.
@@MadHorseBBQ I live in a old trailer this place will burn so fast and I don't have the money but I'd love to I am trying to start a bbq channel everything from smoked cheese to brisket I got 15 videos started just have to figure out what kind of computer I need to edit and put on to you tube
Jason Patton that’s awesome! If you need any help I’m on Facebook and Instagram so find me on there and shoot me a message.
