Once you remove the sway bar end links and the brackets that hold it against the frame, you can slide it out from one side. I didn't disconnect the tie rods. If it's too tight, you can remove the skid plate and the skid plate brackets and remove it from the front
yeah took mine off and i'm sorry i did everytime i hit a bump at high speed on the highway my abs kicks in and my truck brakes and shakes until you slow way down then it straightens out but its real scary when it happens at high speed. think i'm going to put it back on. any solutions for this you know of?
I have a 2019 Tacoma sport 4x4 I have very bad body roll comming off exits on the freeway at modest speeds I was thinking of adding a rear sway bar 99 percent of my driving is highway and short curvy roads
Honestly it only has 6 k on it and working 6 days a week now I’m not even sure it even has a rear sway bar it’s been raining for the last 4 weekends I’ll let you know how I make out
Yea that's really low miles, i don't think the bushing would be worn out that badly to cause that. It doesn't cost anything to inspect though. Additionally, i don't think tacomas come stock with a rear sway bar.
I looked no sway bar I’m going to research this since this is my first truck I had a challenger rt for 6 years maybe I’m used to having a independent suspension that cornered very well maybe that’s why it’s soft I do about 3 percent off road so I I want to get set up for a country road twist and highway and towing urban rig the falken wildpeak at3 tires made it Handel 20 percent better And the breaking system is mushy too I would like to get that a little more responsive
Whrm you took the sawy bar off the end link bolt that ran through the spindle, the hole did you leave the hole alone or did you do anything with it like cover the it?
This is an off-road mod. You have more front end suspension articulation by having each side move independently from one another. more articulation means more traction at uneven roads
Unfortunately, my actual day job keeps getting in the way with multiple high priority projects. I'll post a video though to announce this when this happens. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel!
Thank you for not only showing us how to take these off but also taking the time to explain the whole safety issue from removing these sway bars!
Thanks for sharing! Have you had time to design the quick disconnect as of yet?
Quick disconnect would be awesome!
Man I hope you come up with a quick sway bar disconnect. I’ll be keeping an eye out for a video👍
Coming soon!
How did you remove the sway bar after compete disconnect? Did you have to disconnect tie rods or anything?

Did you ever come up with a quick disco?
Great video. Any updates on the quick disconnect? I'll be first in line for that one.
I haven't gotten too many requests for that. That project has fallen to the back burner. It seems like owners rather just go without it
I’m curious about the quick disconnect as well
Any information on the quick connection
Were you able to fab quick disconnect for tacoma? Been looking for one.
Still working on it. Hopefully, will come out with the final design by the end o f the year. I'll have a dedicated video for that once it's finalized
that’s cause they don’t exist, i’ve only heard of people saying it’s impossible, but if he comes up with one i will buy instantly
Have you had any luck with the quick disconnect?
Still working on designs. If only my day job stops getting in the way 😅
@@KFloTacoma I've been working on a quick disconnect also! We should connect! Thanks.
Excellent video again KFlo! Thanks brother!

unfortunately, that's the purpose of the sway bar - high speed stability.

Did you try to replace the sway bar bushings? they may have worn out and have some play.

@@jimcatx3090 forget the rear sway bar and just get after market coils...OME heavy duty coils....885

You could clean it with alcohol/acetone and then paint it. It is currently bare metal under there.
Why would you want to remove sway bar. ??
This is an off-road mod. You have more front end suspension articulation by having each side move independently from one another. more articulation means more traction at uneven roads
Did you watch the video? 🤔
Did you make the quick disconnect?
Unfortunately, my actual day job keeps getting in the way with multiple high priority projects. I'll post a video though to announce this when this happens. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel!
one thing that helps a little is to turn off traction control.
Are you going to be doing a mod that allows for a quick removal of the sway bar for the tacos??
Yea, it's definitely on the list. My actual day job kinda gets in the way 😅
Is it possible to remove the sway bar without jacking up the truck?
You'll need to remove the wheels to access the sway bar end links
Bro just subscribed thank you solo much for thia information
Thanks for the sub! I hope you enjoy the rest of my content!
SUPER............GOOD INFO. POINT COUNTER POINT.
Has he ever came up with the quick disconnect yet?
We still waiting for the quick disconnect sway bar links 😬😬😬
LOL i'll work on that project these next few months.
