Dude that is crazy. Never seen anyone so skilled at pulling dents out like this. I love how you really break it down to a science, you create a plan before going in, and know every tool you’re going to use beforehand. If this was me, I’d just grab a mallet and start trying to punch it out from the inside lol, but I also have never done bodywork and don’t have any special tools. But what a cool video, I always enjoy watching a master of their craft go to work, I learned a lot.
I've been a Body Technician for over 10 years. I would have never guessed something like this was even possible. Ive never seen your videos before. But I am definitely going to watch more.
Absolutely amazing, I went to school for autobody repair and always enjoyed the heavy collision side. I also was intrigued by PDR, I always thought it was for small dents. You have opened my eyes to a whole new realm of possibilities, that I never imagined. To see that panel before you started, I too was thinking have to remove the panel and replace. Thank you for your videos, I will be looking forward for more to come.
My first time watching this gentleman...master craftsman... work was truly amazing. Never would believe fixing the panel as he did was even possible... but there it is... Also, praise to Subaru for using a paint and clear coat that stands up to this kind of work being done.
The most amazing part to me is the paint, it's flexibility. The fact of seeing the paint "stretched" to such a degree and then manipulated back, without a crack is incredible.
Yeah, I went through years of school and OJT and got a degree in paint/fender/body, and when I would ask about PDR, a lot of the guys would scoff and say it was fine for small dents, or maybe after hail storms. They'd all want to remove/replace fenders, cut/weld/fill/sand/paint QP/SP and door skins. I'd ask them why they don't try to manipulate the dent and make at least reuse the original fenders etc. Most would say it was easier and faster to do it their way. I'd still hold on to the old parts and practice manipulating the metal, but if I had been able to see this channel when I was still working there and going to school, I think I would have been able to convince the instructor as well as the owner of the body shop I was working at to train me on it. I'm not knocking the other way at all and understand that in certain instances it is definitely needed. However, an alternative is always nice to have.
@@jmackinjersey1 I remember reading about this technique of repairing small dents years ago. This method of dent repair has improved and progressed beyond repairing just door dings.
***NEW SUBSCRIBER*** Just started watching this video. I have been watching a few other channels. Watching the dents back out to nothing would have been unheard of and called scams back in the late 80's when I was looking at going to a trade school to learn auto body repair. Thank you for showing this. It almost makes me want to get back into the field.
Amazing job! 👍 It's fun to watch an artist like you that pulls this dent so it looks like this quarterpanel never was dented before. Please keep up the good work!
I have watched a dent-less repairman work on my cars over the years, but this repair is several levels above expert. Thanks for sharing this special skill.
This is just pure artistry. The amount of knowledge to even know where to start pulling from, let alone coming up with the technique of simultaneous pulling and custom pulling apparatus... well the results speak for themselves. Astounding edit: I'm curious the total amount of time spent of this and the total cost. As far as I'm concerned, this type of restoration work is priceless
This gonna sound weird, but watching you being a master of your craft is both calming and on the edge nerve wrecking at the same time. Also new subscriber.
This guy's work is incredible! The funny part is he really makes it look easy. The patience and eye for detail is of the charts. The weird part for me is that I get it. Before he even started I thought the same thing about the process. The dent kinda tells you where to start. But honestly never having done this the technique and artistry behind it kinda blows my mind.
Respect! Metal stretches (gets longer) when it bends. How you manage to massage it all back to the OEM, die-stamped form, with no paint damage, is epic! Pure talent. Can't read, or write a book on this magic!
Wildly amazing! Had no idea this stuff was possible without filler. First time here. My mom Jack knifed their truck and needs this. I've attempted painting numerous vehicles so seeing this made me realize there are all kinds of methods for the gurus 💪

I have been doing stuff like this for years on mine and my buddys rides for the simple fact we grown up broke and always trying to flip beat up cars. never has it come out anywhere close to as perfect as this. And I never knew about PDR before this video. I mean we were shovin rebarb with different bends in the end down the quarter panel, fender, and door panel to take most of the dents out of a side swiped pontiac my buddy bought for $250 and we made it look a whole lot better but I didnt realize just how much we were on the right track until now. Dude is a miracle worker. I cant believe it was able to be repaired
Thank you for your comment
This is nothing short of magic. Outstanding work.
I've been doing body work for years and this was absolutely amazing!. I'm throwing away my paint gun to learn this brilliant craft.
This is just insane. A true CRAFTSMEN. may you continue to succeed
Gizmo thank you once again
RUclips recommended this video out of nowhere I watched it all the way through completely amazed you have a new subscriber
Ryan thank you for subscribing and welcome to my channel
I had no idea this could be done to this level from that extreme of a dent. Incredible. New subscriber here.
Thanks for the PDR masterclass really enjoyed it Time well spent
I knew a guy like him many years ago. He was an artist, really. He was everyday drunken in the workshop, but his work was phenomenal... ;-)
This guy is a legend. Respect. Truly craftsmanship
This is amazing. You are a master at this. I wouldn't even think that this panel would be able to be repaired without being pulled and repainted.
Amazing job! 👍 It's fun to watch an artist like you that pulls this dent so it looks like this quarterpanel never was dented before. Please keep up the good work!
This is an art form. You teach a 1,000 students. You’d be lucky to get one who could come close to this

I appreciate your comment.
Very very nice you make it simple awesome
Never seen anything like this before, and this was way more than I'd expect possible. You're an artist!
I have watched a dent-less repairman work on my cars over the years, but this repair is several levels above expert. Thanks for sharing this special skill.
Yeah.... You really works in another level and created a large horizon to PDR a metal panel! Congrats!
This is just pure artistry. The amount of knowledge to even know where to start pulling from, let alone coming up with the technique of simultaneous pulling and custom pulling apparatus... well the results speak for themselves. Astounding
edit: I'm curious the total amount of time spent of this and the total cost. As far as I'm concerned, this type of restoration work is priceless
This gonna sound weird, but watching you being a master of your craft is both calming and on the edge nerve wrecking at the same time. Also new subscriber.
That's badass man never thought that was possible
Thank you Gary that one made me laugh
I totally agree 👀👁👁
I've never seen someone so passionate about fixing a dent.
Is this legit, or a bunch of camera tricks? Stumped
Easy to fake a video. Don’t believe everything on RUclips.
This is honestly incredible, I can’t believe what I just watched. Very well done sir! You give the industry a very high bar to meet 🙌
Jack thank you
Wildly amazing! Had no idea this stuff was possible without filler. First time here. My mom Jack knifed their truck and needs this. I've attempted painting numerous vehicles so seeing this made me realize there are all kinds of methods for the gurus 💪
Oh man. Fisrt video of yours that ive seen. Please keep posting I am going to absorb and utilize all the information you are so kind to share for free. Thank you. Brain geers fully turnin now! Im excited about this!
Brian welcome to my channel you have a great story
you have experience when a dents not moving and you keep pushing till it comes out
