    What a scumbag . He thinks he's such a celebrity. He killed his wife cause she was just about to find out that the free ride was over she was married to a criminal she would of divorced him and took him for all he had felt

      I cannot for the life of me be inside a head that had that many "family" fun-loving things going on (all the time), along with the if you want it - just buy it capabilities they all enjoyed - the "if it breaks, is lost or stolen - just go get another one - inside a head which could find even one thought of ending it all like he did - and on top of that think he could get away with it and what? He'd still go on enjoying life? What would he be enjoying? That's true blue psychopath! You know, from jail, he was talking to Buster encouraging him to borrow money from John Marvin to 'put on some account he'd be paying JM back on one day, ha ha, just to make sure Buster didn't have to feel like he couldn't go in the golf shop and buy a new shirt if he wanted one - to not have to experience that feeling - !! He SAID that!! It was unreal to listen to that conversation. Even Buster was like, "I dunno - that doesn't feel right".

      With nothing "but" lawyers on his side and law enforcement to boot, I highly doubt that. But there was plenty enough for them both to continue a good life. I doubt either wanted the stigma of divorce, though. Unless he ever talks, we'll never know the why. And even then, so much will have to be taken w so much salt. It's still too much, (for me at least) to comprehend, no matter the mental gymnastics I try, a why! and how he could! do it at all - in spite of the circumstantial evidence pointing directly at him.

    Why is he pleading not guilty when he already admitted guilt regarding the financial crimes during his murder trial.

    • @govindagovindaji4662
      @govindagovindaji4662 Год назад

      Very strange, indeed. I never thought that it was right to allow the financial crimes into the murder trial for several reasons. 1) The state does not need to prove motive, so that should not have been allowed as an excuse or reason 2) It forced Alex to have to incriminate himself in the financial crimes in order to try and defend himself in the murders crime. 3) The financial crimes were not discovered until after the murders took place. Even Jeanne, the main accountant admitted in the murder trial that they did not yet suspect Alex of stealing on June 7th. It was clearly a wrong ruling and I think it could be used on an appeal. Now as to your question, well, it is a million dollar question, isn't it? I sure don't understand it either, and tbh, I am not sure if he is pleading not-guilty to some of them or all of them, do you know?

      OH, shoot! I'd already responded to your question (but rather than edit that b/c I also discussed other things) I 'll add here that I just found out the answer to your question at about 13:04 minutes into this video. Turns out, that his defense lawyers were willing to plead him out, had the State been willing to charge all the Financial Crimes in one bucket. But the State doesn't want to to that. They want to charge them one at a time in order to make him get life in prison due to a 'three strikes your out" type rule in SC state law. Go over that and you will find the answer to your question. You may have to go back/forward a few minutes or so too.

      You have to plead not guilty in order to get a trial and defend your actions, so it affects your sentence.

    Dick Harpootlian appeared very disrespectful towards the judge. It was like he was trying to make the hearing all about himself. At Cf sentencing Justin Bamberg spoke beautifully. I especially loved his point that if CF had mentioned to Miss P that he needed $ she would have given it to him

    Yea, his judgeship ENDS the beginning of next year ~ so why speed this up when he can't finish it out~>??. I happen to find Harpootlian's request and reasons for delay very realistic. Like he said: one of the cases has been sitting in the court awaiting trial for years~!! AND, the prosecution wasn't in such a big hurry when Harpootlian asked that that trial go first before the murders, so why is it so urgent now? Judge Newman is definitely seeing Alex as "that guy who murdered his son and wife" now.

      It’s on his docket, regardless of retirement. Judges are forced to retire at a certain age, not because they want to.
      Don’t forget that the defense requested a speedy trial for the murder and got it.

      @@kellyann8773 well, maybe once it decided that the murder trial would go first they asked for a speedy one, but they had asked for the financial crimes to be tried first.
