A masterclass by John Meadors. Connected with the jury like no one else, and he tied all the points together in a grand slam. Shut the door on Alex. Well done, John!
John Meadors was very annoying when I first started watching this case. He was fidgety, touching witnesses and could not keep still. I thought he was nuts. But I’m not from the south. Today he single handedly won this case for the state. That was the best closing argument I have ever seen. He was one with the jury for one hour and was simply magnificent. He showed no charts and no timelines. He used very little notes. He just talked about common sense, real people and choices. He sealed the deal. Well done sir.
I was actually not impressed at all lol I guess it will show who's gullible if it's just you YT commenters or if the jury bought it too. I think I would find him guilty myself but this speech was not that good at all and yet you YT'bers all think he was oh so grand lol
I can see how some folks would like this down-home, aw-shucks style; but for me it was a little over the top (or under the bottom). And all that pacing back and forth distracts my mind from what he’s actually saying. I think he overplays the Columbo persona just enough to border on caricature.
@@realemonful me neither he doesn't sound like someone who went to university at all let alone to study law but yes the correct verdict was reached in my opinion.
Shyt.... Mr Waters is who brought it! Sorry but his was way better! Attorneys that are bulldogs like that, have a much higher chance of winning their case. We have one attorney here in KS who does cases worldwide (Carl cornwell) and he doesn’t sugar coat and gets right to the facts as they are.... Mr Waters reminds me of him and he’s not one u wanna be cross examined by in a court room. Trust me. He was about $60,000 for my husbands case but WELL WORTH IT FOR THE OUTCOME. this guy here is pacing too much, I’m getting bored. It’s hard to listen when he’s up and down and all over the place. 🤷♀️
I wouldn't go that far; but he did connect with the jury and did a great closing. The prosecution clearly had the better lawyer: but to be fair to the defence, it's not easy to defend a very clearly guilty murdering compulsive liar.
@@Ecology0136 I noticed the pacing also but thought it was very effective. It seemed to help him organize his thoughts and maybe mesmerized the jury. It was punctuated by a lot of changes of pace verbally, i.e. raising or lowering his voice, and varying the delivery. Also his other body language, turning around, going back to the lectern, pointing, gesticulating, that little twiddling thing he does with his fingers. And we he turned that witness stand chair around you almost felt that Shelly was sitting in it.
@@Ecology0136 Sorry that you found the pacing back and forth distracting. I was too busy listening to every word he was saying, and I guess he put me in a trance of sorts. Of course the pacing could be distracting to many, but most of us have seen plenty of closing arguments by prosecutors, and the pacing seems to be there 90% of the time. I listened to his closing argument, rarely watch, so I’m guessing that helps me not to be distracted.
WOW 😳!! What a closing. I was riveted, don't think I even blinked. Well done Mr. Meadors, you kicked ass and took names up there. One of the best closings I've ever heard. Well 👍 done.
Meadors provided a Masterclass in closing rebuttal. In under one hour he removed all doubt for the Jury. Layman's language from start to finish... it made the Verdict come as quickly as it did. a real credit to the legal community. Any young Law student should study this rebuttal. This is as good as it gets! Alex Murdaugh is a monster. He's very lucky it isn't a Capital punishment case.
I love this lawyer, he's been eating, breathing and dreaming this case and he's truly feeling it. God love him, he better go get his blood pressure checked.
That’s exactly how I was going to start my sentence…‘ I love this lawyer’! This is what 34 years of experience working with homicide cases give you, confidence…lots of confidence! Look up my notes for what??? This man’s CONFIDENCE is CONFIDENT!!!!!
After hearing this rebuttal by Mr Meadors, I can speak only of how proud I am of the Law Enforcement in South Carolina. Mr Meadors, you did your oath proud and you, sir, are a man of honor.
I have watched this trial from day one, as many of you may have as well. Mr. Meadors hit the ball out of the park. There is so much integrity in this court room. The prosecutors did a phenomenal job, but WOW Mr. Meadors - Good Job.
Rebuttal close was spot on!!! He did a fantastic job of pointing out COMMON SENSE.. Alex is guilty and so many people get hung up on motive, we’ll never know why he truly did it but we don’t need to know why to know he did it. Paul, thankfully, caught his own killer with the kennel video, it’s the one thing Alex couldn’t control and the one thing he didn’t know about. An innocent man does not lie about the last time he saw his family alive, a guilty man separating himself from the crime scene does that. Alex is a lawyer he knows that an innocent man would never lie to law enforcement in a murder investigation. He only admitted to being there cause he was caught not cause he forgot. And why would anyone come to a hunting lodge, loaded with weapons, unarmed to kill someone? It makes no sense! They were shot with family owned guns. How anyone can look at this evidence and not be convinced of his guilt is remarkable to me. We don’t need motive to know he killed his wife and son. Use common sense people.
Everything you say makes sense (really). But, 0.J. You can never be certain what a jury will do. I thought Murdaugh's lawyers did a pretty bad job, surprisingly.
IF you followed the entire trial, you recognize the utter brilliance of this closing. This Gentleman will certainly do more closings but none will ever approach this gravitas and authority. Well done for eternity.
Yeah he tied it up brilliantly. It was not easy to understand what occurred until Meadors stitched it together. Particularly pointing out what Alec DIDN'T do.
it shows how a person can wear a mask for the world!!! Alex disposed of his wife and Son, for money!! whether it gave him money or saved him money - its the same difference!! He could not afford for Paul to be found guilty of driving the boat that night!!! He could not let Maggie walk out of his life - with her trust fund, and owning most of the properties!!
Prosecutor John Meadors and his team is absolutely brilliant this trial should be showed in law school. I like his style, his professionalism and the way they presented this case to the jury. This is definitely one for the books.
And to think, a short video taken by a young man who had no idea he was about to die caused the killers alibi to crumble. Alex had no clue that Paul was recording a video for his friend. Pure karma, total serendipity.
He was terrific. He has all the high points everyone on this comment line talk about the other guy should have done. I pray there isn't a hung jury....
John Meadors was the one who brought the jurors to the verdict! He was absolutely astounding!!! I am disheartened that the Attorney General did not give him any credit and let him speak in front of the press conference after the trial ended. He deserved his 5 minutes of fame!!! Waters was very boring and redundant. Meadors brewed a sense of truth into his closing argument. I hope the press asks him for an individual interview tomorrow and in the days ahead. Great job, JOHN MEADORS!!!
So possibly the Attorney Gen. is buddy-buddy with someone on the defense team????? That would be my only thought as to why that awesome Mr. Meadors won the case and was not allowed to speak.
I am from South Africa, our justice system is based on Roman Dutch law and follows age Old English Court procedures. People in black robes, no shouting, animation etc I honestly thought this sort of behavior happened in Hollywood court dramas. Was fascinating to see. Reminded me of a Southern Baptist Church performance. Brilliant and had the audience, the jury, attention. He never really looked at his notes, absolutely an incredible and Oscar winning performance. 👏
I didn’t always love this lawyers style in the court room but man he really delivered such an emotional closing, you really felt you were with him in the court room. Well done John ❤
Guilty, Guilty, Guilty, Guilty. This Judge did a great job keeping control of his courtroom!! Let's give him a big round of applause too!! This was a very complex trial and the jurors listened and brought justice to Maggie and Paul. May they rest in peace now for eternity. Bless you two.....
Wow!! This was incredible! Take him away & cuff him in irons. I'm a law student in the UK & this was masterful to me. It was simple, powerful & concise.
Hopefully you saw them cuff him and remove him from the courtroom..this is the first case I've followed this closely and actually saw justice being served..it was a very somber moment y
I'm from the northern part of the US a Yankee, so the prosecutors down home southern style delivery blew my mind, he was just excellent. There are no words.
Like many, the rebuttal was the first I've heard of John Meadors. Mr. Meadors is riveting. He's charasmatic. He's a dynamic story teller. The man is phenomenal, and he delivered the bow that tied the package together. Awesome! *Absolutely AWESOME!* 👏👏🙌

You must of missed the weeks of questioning and strategic method of Creighton and the rest of the defense. They all played a crucial role. JM was the perfect closing to a well done prosecution!
Wow. What a brilliant, masterfully delivered speech. The Columbo reference is genius! This is such a Columbo crime: the haughty liar, the video-tape reveal, etc. I can see that connection alone igniting the jurors' minds. I'm moved to hear Bubba is with Blanca❤Mr. Meadors gave voice to both victims, and bore witness to the grief of their loved ones. His description of Paul was especially touching--respectful, kind, smart, funny, even loving. Like a father should see his son. Like Colombo, he cut through the rhetoric, charm, and surface of a long trial. In paying homage to the salt-of-the-earth honesty of Blanca and Ms. Shellie, he called out AM's narcissistic presumption that he could intimidate those women simply because of their status in his home. He showed how AM doesn't see what matters: integrity, love, good work, the truth below the surfaces. Listening to this speech is like seeing the ground open up and out comes the passions underlying the trial and this sad story created by someone who turns out to be nothing more than an empty, useless, garden-variety narcissist, who just happened to be born into money.
Beautifully written!! This trial, that closing, the fact that the video was found not until early ‘22, were all very touching and moving. There will be books and movies! And what if he destroyed Paul’s phone or it never was retrieved?? I believe that this was divine intervention. You write beautifully!
@@paulaeppley3569 oh my goodness yes!! Or AM’s realizing his goose was cooked bc of it??? Somehow that video stayed safe and got AM convicted more than any other evidence in my mind!!
This prosecutor gave me the story, backed up with evidence, that I craved from the beginning of this trial. Sir, whether the jury listens to you or turns away, I’m grateful that you were there to tell the story of a selfish man who did nothing but take from others his entire life. Your words have the ring of truth and the common sense of human nature. It is an ugly story, but justice is beautiful. Thank you, sir, for shining truth on the fate of Maggie and Paul Murdaugh.
Judge Newman is such a fair man, humble and patient. Hopefully the Jury has the commen sense to convict Alex Murdouch of murdering Paul and Maggie. Paul took that video, minutes before his own father murdered him. Karma. Regards from Ireland 🇮🇪
This guy is so guilty he is incredibly guilty. He is actually a monster. If he didn’t do it and he was an attorney he should’ve been spending his every day since that murder to try to find out who did it who else was there any information. They found nothing nobody no tire tracks no cars no cell phone pings of other people in the area no strange people know dogs barking no chickens clucking at strangers. He did it.
Don’t forget the most damning evidence. Paul’s Video PROVING HE and ONLY HE was there moments before their murder then INSTANTLY LYING about it as soon as law enforcement got there.
Exactly! Reminds me of the Scott Peterson case from the mid-2000s. He is guilty as sin (just like Scott who killed his 8 month pregnant wife and unborn son) and showed no concern about looking for the killer(s). Lied, lied, lied to everyone. Alex needs to rot in prison for all that he has done.
John Meadors did an outstanding job on this closing rebuttal. He successfully drove home the point about AM not calling Buster right after the murders. There is no father or mother out there who wouldn't be calling their 1 surviving son to warn them unless they knew for sure there was no threat. This was a point that I was hoping would be made, so I was relieved to hear it. There were times during the trial that I though Meadors went over the top with theatrics but here, he's a master and he drives home every important point he needed to. Between this and Waters closing, they didn't miss a thing. Fantastic work, there can't be any other verdict buy guilty.
Yup that really was a great point. Just like after the murders he wasn't worried about him or buster cause he was the danger! Also the 20 seconds to calling 911 and it was obvious that if your wife and son are clearly long long gone and absolutely no help for them you would be kneeling over their bodies, crying, mourning and holding them. Not rolling up getting out and calling 911 essentially immediately. Then everything else was a obvious bad act. His crying, voice tone and "paw paw" stuff was utterly disgusting and offensive. Glad he's gonna rot in prison. Gonna be even worse for a guy like him who has been rich and privileged his entire life. He will probably off himself soon
I was waiting for that too. Why wouldn't he have called his son first to warn him of danger? Instead he calls his brother who I suspect, his attorney friends...etc. Just seemed like he was creating more of an alibi. He thought he was so smart but in the end Paul caught his sorry arse. Wonder what a reunion in the afterlife will be like for them all...🫣🫣🫣
The Truth will allways have its uncanny relentless way ,the correct way , this trial so alive with the truth and Gods STRENGTH It leaves its footprints everywhere , Thank you for allowing me to share with you the Lord's power over Evil AMEN !!!!
I’ve also served on a jury and I really appreciated getting a simple thank you letter mailed from the judge after the trial. Funny how a simple thank you can make such a difference.
Casey Anthony should have been convicted of murdering her daughter. Casey killed her daughter because her rich boyfriend didn't want to be saddled with children. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
It shows if you have money, and a certain level of looks - you can mesmerize the jury with crazy stories that make no sense. OJ walked because he had more expensive and experienced lawyers. Kaylee walked because they needed to prove intent - which they did not. In my mind she was a neglectful, selfish and callous mother but they did not prove to me that she intended for Caycee to die. She wanted to party and literally forgot her child in the trunk. As sad as that was - we don't judge carelessness the way we do a murderous intent to kill someone. If Alex did this - this was malicious, intentional and horrific. He is guilty - but I think the prosecution should have waited to find the clothes and the guns. That would be irrefutable. Right now it could go either way.
Thanks to the press for allowing us to see these recorded court cases. You’all are to be highly commended for the awesome work that you do. God bless you, too.

@@loditx7706, no one in South Carolina would tell this story in its full breadth. It can be a big scoop for you AFTER you fact-check, which should be easy enough if you have Becky Hill's book "Behind the Doors of Justice." It turns out not only Becky Hill and the jurors of the Alex Murdaugh case wanted "their 15 minutes" but they put their children, too, with them. In Becky "Boo" Hill's book page 191, you see a photo of Boo's daughter with this caption: Country music star, Dustin Lynch, and my "plus one" (daughter Aubrey) spent time together in NBC's The Today Show green room. TRANSLATION: At least Becky Hill AND HER DAUGHTER flew expense-free to New York with at least three jurors who voted guilty, each of which PRESUMABLY has a "plus one," too. So, at least 8 people had a luxury junket to New York paid for with the blood and tears of Paul, Maggie, and Alex Murdaugh. It gets even worse: At pages 59-60 of her book, Becky Hill writes: What I learned on our flight to New York City after the trial was that three close friends of his [meaning of a male juror who voted guilty] all chipped in and paid the financially strapped juror his regular salary. For all six weeks of the trial! Several thousand dollars. TRANSLATION: Thousands of dollars were being paid DIRECTLY from an outside source to a juror who voted guilty to enable him to stay on the jury. WHO ARE THOSE THREE CLOSE FRIENDS? Why was it important for them that THIS juror serve on the jury? Was that even their own money or were they funnelling it from an outside source? That is way, way, worse than anything Becky Hill admits to about her own misconduct.
Heartbreaking ending and powerful. Paul, Maggie and Bubba to the rescue. Paul’s video found, Maggie surrounded by family gun shell casings and Bubba being reprimanded by Alex for having that bird in his mouth. Thank God Paul took those videos.
I truly believe there was a guardian angel that night looking out for Maggie and Paul … that was reason for those tik toks and dog video .. exposing the killer and it was family
Rogan to Paul….”YO”…..why didn’t Paul send him the video of Cash’s tail?….Because he was dead. His father killed him. Paul solved his and poor Mothers murder.
This presentation gave me what my dad would be proud of...the plain simple truth! Why would the guy lying (AM) about everything important to this case be found innocent! Alex did us all a favor when he got on the stand and did the "dumb man act" and the fake crying mess! And his silly brother too!! Thank you for this closing... with Meadows, this was the perfect pair closing. We got this one right SC!
“Being real and choices.” “Always be real!” John Meadors your monologue was brilliant! You weaved all the facets of the trial into a clear conviction. Thank you Mr. John Meadors, Mr. Creighton Waters, and the entire Prosecution team. You brought justice to Maggie and Paul. MAY THEY RIP🙏
One of the best comments on this case. How did he know when he needed to lie? It could have happened while he was visiting him mom so why lie about not being there before leaving? He cannot recall their last conversation, his clothes are missing, and he wanted others to lie about things. The timing of the hearing in boat case and request for financial information, and the revelation of his years of stealing. If I was on the jury, I would vote guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
I followed this trial everyday until closing arguments began and entered the hospital for hip replacement surgery. I was undecided and leaning towards reasonable doubt. I did my best to catch up. I did not see this until tonight and now I understand how the jury came to such a quick and unanimous decision. This was absolutely excellent, driven and left me without a doubt. Great job John Meadors
Oh yes, thank God, Paul took that video and he solved his own murder case. And you can say it again and again indeed. Paul and Maggie rest in peace. And my thoughts are with the family.
No Paul has a debt to pay, he took a life. He denied it and his mother protected him too. They didnt deserve to die the way they did but those two weren't good people.
This prosecutor was incredible... he brought it home for the prosecution. So happy that he was found guilty. Shocking that on evening polls 30 percent of people thought he was innocent and the jury got it wrong. Good for you Paul. You talked from the grave. Your two videos did him in. REST IN PEACE
Hi Joanne, I agree. I think that poll of 30% people thinking he was innocente comes from the fact that some people didn't quite grasp the complexity of the case, with some evidence coming in quite late during proceedings... rush judgment and emotions and the fact he is a master manipulator ( hence all the financial evidence crucial to determine and describe his character) can indeed make you think that he is innocent. However, law is reason free from passion. And the jury upheld that with a guilty verdict.
I was absolutely captivated watching this live. He took weeks and weeks of facts and wove it into a story for all of us. I had just watched the footage from the Moselle visit and it brought me to tears. When this closing was done, I knew deliberation would be short and they'd bring back a guilty verdict. I have never been so sure of something that I really had no way to know. After seeing the actual crime scene and imagining that warm quiet summer night and then listening to Mr. Meadors, I knew there was no other way this could go.
What’s funny about that is it was the defense teams idea to have the jury visit Moselle. They either thought it would have an opposite impact on the jury or they suggested it just to buy a few extra hours consulting/coaching Alex.
Indeed… in the beginning? I always had the inkling A.M was guilty … and I RACKED my head over and over just trying see why a person (I know the spoken about motive) could really kill their wife and son , and I just couldn’t fathom it … but I knew he did it , it’s been a weird one to battle . I know with the personality disorder I believe Alex to possess ? He will never fess up and tell the whole entire and truthful story . But I think the closest we will ever have to knowing this story ? Is what has been laid out to us by the iconic , prosecution team… They AMAZED me and I hope they all have a MASSIVE pay rise after this hard word 😂😅. Thank you to the jury , without them and their logical minds ? We would not be here , satisfied , he would be free. Judge Newman personifies nothing but class, etiquette and decorum THROUGHOUT! Well done to SLED, state police , the people of SC everyone including the testing labs for serving in the trial and case of the century . Highly commendable . I watched this from my home in London, England engrossed and enthralled . Thank u🙏🏾😊
Update after 3hours or little over 3 hours the jury found him Guilty on All Charges !!! He was found Guilty of murdering his wife and murdering his Son !!!! He will Receive his Sentencing Friday !!!! He faces 30 years to Life in Prison!!! Thank You Lord for Justice for Maggie and Paul !!!! Jury used Common Sense!!! Nothing can bring them back but I'm so glad that justice has been Served !!! RIP Maggie and Paul !!!
Wow!!! Bravo John Meadors just outstanding!!! So concise and well done!!! He layed it all out beautifully!!! Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to bring justice for Maggie and Paul! 🙏🏼
I didn't listen at all to defense closing arguments...can you believe I was afraid? I had no faith in the jury and thought they would be easily swayed by a masterful defense closing, trying to spin the evidence Most of us will never forget the OJ verdict. Then I lost all hope with the Casey Anthony verdict. I'm elated that Alex was found guilty and the jury did it with circumstantial evidence and common sense. Meadors was absolutely the linch pin in this case. His argument is what everyone needed to hear and gave the jury the confidence to make their decision.
You didn't miss much by not listening to the defense closing arguments. I too didn't want to listen, but then I gave in and listened to the last third or so. Rambling, meandering, and reading from a prepared script, it was like Mr. Griffin didn't even believe what he was saying. However, in retrospect I do believe the case was lost as soon as his client took the stand.
I know it's tempting and more comfortable to listen to what confirms your bias, but I forced myself to listen to it all so I have solid understanding of the case in general. And clearly after listening to everything for the past weeks, I do think Alex Murdaugh is guilty. The jury got 100% right.
He didn't bring up one thing about any financial crime, just hammered home the facts of the murders. There was nothing more to say once he finished. He proved u don't always need the forensics to prove guilt beyond reasonable doubt. It all just made perfect sense.
Mr Meaders had a powerful voice for the victims Paul and Maggie! He was well prepared and talked clearly with voice inflection so people were listening and not sleeping! His thank you to the jury brought a lump in my throat!👏🏻
JOHN, you cut through the BS of the defense, good closing arguments, you were the absolute fit person to end the prosecution's part. You laid the facts and the Truth out in front of the jury, took all the ingredients and put them together in one firm edible meal. You cut out the crap. Smokescreen machine overruled 👊🏼. Very strong!!!

John Meadors did the absolute best rebuttal close of all time!!! This man was totally relatable with the people he spoke to including me and everyone in the chat! He was captivating and got his point across with nothing but his words and I found that in itself spectacular!! He didn't need videos, pictures, ect.....just his words, the right words were enough!!! I honestly believe this got that guilty verdict handed down! I had to add that the story was finally told after a long 6 week trial!!! Bravo John!!!

This was an excellent rebuttal! I watched this video twice. I’m sure he had the jurors on the edge of their seats. This attorney brought it home! And thanks to Paul, “the little detective,” his dog kennel video exposed his ‘alleged’ murderer. AM thought he was so smart. This time he slipped up big time. I sincerely hope this jury does the right thing and return with a guilty verdict.
He completely destroyed the defense. Why? Because he was telling the truth. Not to say he didnt do an amazing job. But everything he's saying is true an we all know it

This was a stoke of genius. Just talk to the jury on a common sense level and they won’t let you down. Justice has been served thanks to “ the little detective” Maggie and Paul…RIP now….job done!
The most telling part of this was Alex's body language during the whole rebuttal. 50 shades of red, death glares, fidgeting, nail biting, mouthing words to his lawyers. He was listening to every syllable while squirming in his chair. This would be huge if I was a juror.
You would react that way too if you were innocent. He was not innocent, but I sure would be scared to death if I was innocent...Thats why innocent people fail a lot of lie detector. Then there is innocent people being framed or on trial that show no mercy...well, I sure wouldn't be remorseful if I didn't do it. I worked as Behavorial Specialist...and there are a lot of things people think or jump to conclusions 'without ' hearing all of the evidence. I would frankly be scared to death if I was innocent and on trial, and some how knew somebody was on the Jury that thought like you.
John Meadors single handedly saved this case from the lukewarm state closing till this point. He's the unsung hero as Waters and Wilson basking the limelight. I respect this man for his authenticity and tremendous skills as a prosecutor. You know he has prepared all his life for this closing.
I totally agree! John Meadors put his heart and soul into this case and he touched the hearts of the jury, his fellow attorneys, the judge and those looking and keeping up with the story on cable news and Online. He taught a Masterclass in how to close an argument with common sense. Not only did he use HIS common sense, but he got the jury to use theirs. He told the case as a story, and that helped everyone to see the situation for what it really was: A Cold. Blooded. Murder. that was committed by an evil individual, who in this case, is the husband and father of the victims. John Meadors put feeling and passion in this case as he fought valiantly for justice for 2 murdered people who were killed off guard by the one person who should have loved them: the husband and father. There's no telling WHAT he put his family thru before it came to this; that is why Maggie and Paul were not living with Alec. The Mudaughs were NOT even living together as a family, and that in itself speaks volumes. They all were going their own way. Paul was REALLY scarred, that is why he drank the way he did: what did he KNOW or have on his father? The boat case was a result of what was going on in the home of the Murdaugh family. You don't go driving a boat around drunk at night if your daddy really loves and cares about you. And Maggie KNEW her husband: she did not want to be with him ANYMORE. But she allowed him to manipulate her ONE last time-and look at the result! This is a warning story for any woman out there who is married to a monster: leave him and get yourself and your kid(s) as FAR away as possible before something like the Murdaugh murders happens to you!

I found him quite irritating and overzealous but yes I believe the correct verdict was reached.

Myyyy my my…. What a convincing monologue. This man isn’t in a performance. He’s arguing from the soul.
They,ll have guns, don't need to take em,, cracks me up

John Meadors is BRILLIANT!🏆!
Maggie & Paul deserved a real live COLUMBO! INCREDIBLE summation by the prosecution.
Exactly. I couldn't have put it any better
I like that, He really DID catch his own killer
If you have doubt of his guilt it because you want to!
Everything you say makes sense (really). But, 0.J. You can never be certain what a jury will do. I thought Murdaugh's lawyers did a pretty bad job, surprisingly.

To be fair, when he’s not on Twitter or at some bar at a golf course, O.J. spends his time looking for the “killer”. He just needs some more time. Lol
For the record, I’m NOT insinuating that murder of any kind is funny. Just the circus that follows is.
Exactly. I don't know what dumb jury would not see that, honestly. Justice for Maggie and Paul
Armchair attorney here
Many different reasonably doubtful errors in logic. He did not act like ANYTHING BUT a murderer
3rd time I'm watching this performance
I was waiting for that too. Why wouldn't he have called his son first to warn him of danger? Instead he calls his brother who I suspect, his attorney friends...etc. Just seemed like he was creating more of an alibi. He thought he was so smart but in the end Paul caught his sorry arse. Wonder what a reunion in the afterlife will be like for them all...🫣🫣🫣

This man got them the guilty verdict! Congratulations!!!
After the OJ and Casey Anthony trials, I stopped guessing what juries would do.
Casey Anthony should have been convicted of murdering her daughter. Casey killed her daughter because her rich boyfriend didn't want to be saddled with children. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Sadly that’s what I’m afraid of here… the same outcome.
Precisely.👍
You got that right....
Common sense would have gone a long way in both
It shows if you have money, and a certain level of looks - you can mesmerize the jury with crazy stories that make no sense.
WOW!! HOLY CRAP! John Meadors just absolutely nailed it! And without any notes!! He’s AMAZING!!!!😊

In Becky "Boo" Hill's book page 191, you see a photo of Boo's daughter with this caption:
Country music star, Dustin Lynch, and my "plus one" (daughter Aubrey) spent time together in NBC's The Today Show green room.
It gets even worse:
At pages 59-60 of her book, Becky Hill writes:
What I learned on our flight to New York City after the trial was that three close friends of his [meaning of a male juror who voted guilty] all chipped in and paid the financially strapped juror his regular salary.

The crime scene sealed the case.
What’s funny about that is it was the defense teams idea to have the jury visit Moselle. They either thought it would have an opposite impact on the jury or they suggested it just to buy a few extra hours consulting/coaching Alex.
It was a Hail Mary, primarily designed to buy more precious time. The defense knew he was guilty.
Thank u🙏🏾😊
@R Williams : it did for me, too. Prior to that, I honestly thought Alec was innocent. 😮
Creighton laid out the facts and John brought it home.
And made it real!
Are you serious!!!
This man did an incredible job, this closing rebuttal gave me chills at times. Grand slam.
Wow!!! Bravo John Meadors just outstanding!!! So concise and well done!!! He layed it all out beautifully!!! Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to bring justice for Maggie and Paul! 🙏🏼
There’s absolutely no doubt in my mind. He’s guilty.
He is so good at this closing statement.
I didn't listen at all to defense closing arguments...can you believe I was afraid? I had no faith in the jury and thought they would be easily swayed by a masterful defense closing, trying to spin the evidence
Most of us will never forget the OJ verdict.
I was just waiting on the black glove to make an appearance lol but thank goodness!! Guilty as charged :)
I know it's tempting and more comfortable to listen to what confirms your bias, but I forced myself to listen to it all so I have solid understanding of the case in general. And clearly after listening to everything for the past weeks, I do think Alex Murdaugh is guilty. The jury got 100% right.
I think if they had cell phone records with oj and Casey Anthony they would be guilty
I can't relax and enjoy a trial until I know I agree with a verdict. After OJ & Casey Anthony, I just can't handle being so invested until I know.
THIS guy needs an Oscar!!
Great work
Yes he does!!! He's bringing down the Murdaugh dynasty!!!!! Thank God!!!!
EVEN THOUGH I HAVE LISTENDED TO THIS CLOSING ABOUT 8 TIMES I STILL JUMP WHEN MR. MEADORS RAISES HIS VOICE.
Lawyers, the good ones, paint pictures with the facts and evidence, this was a masterpiece.
Something tells me this man has been preparing this speech for a loooong time.
His daddy is a preacher and I’m thinking the apple didn’t fall far from that tree!
@@debseles322 that makes sense
I loved this. I’ve watched it twice. He is my hero, and may God bless him. I came undone when he talked about Paul’s insurance. And talked about what Paul was saying in heaven. So powerful!
I have watched this ten times and I m sure I will watch it ten times more. This lawyer, John Meadors, is at the top of his game. Not only the greatest rebuttal and presentation ever, but actually moving. Almost Shakespearean.
Me too. I have seen it at least twice a day. Perfection!
I am glad I am not the only one entranced with John Meadors and his absolute genius! I watched 4 times so far, and will go back to watch again. He was brilliant, and served it up for justice.
I’ve also watched it several times. And also creighton waters’ closing argument. They were awesome.
Me too; I have watched/listened to this at least a dozen times. It is like a sermon. It touches and inspires on a thousand levels. I will listen to it many times again. It is a masterpiece.
Yes!! I’m on #3. It’s like going back to a favorite part in an old movie. I just get mesmerized. 😮
John Meadors brought this home. Great job
John Meadors brought it home! Way to go jurors!
I am watching this CLOSING ARGUMENT a second time, as I believe it WAS THE ICING ON THE CAKE ….BEAUTIFULLY DONE …PERFECTION ❤
Of all time!!!
How did Alex know enough about the timeline to lie months earlier…… the hand of God spoke when that video on Paul’s phone came to light
The video on Paul's phone is what's going get Alex murdaugh convicted. From Ms.. Harper Stacey.
Amen
Amen. And sirens blared 3 to 4 times outside the courthouse when Maggie's name was spoken. Twice when Alex's brother testified this week. What is done in the dark comes to light.
Amen
This was an excellent rebuttal! I watched this video twice. I’m sure he had the jurors on the edge of their seats. This attorney brought it home! And thanks to Paul, “the little detective,” his dog kennel video exposed his ‘alleged’ murderer. AM thought he was so smart. This time he slipped up big time. I sincerely hope this jury does the right thing and return with a guilty verdict.
@Kevtron9000 so sorry you have no life and pathetically seek out people to abuse
He completely destroyed the defense. Why? Because he was telling the truth. Not to say he didnt do an amazing job. But everything he's saying is true an we all know it
Actually one of the jurors fell asleep 😂💀
@Kevtron9000 wow do you have a handbook for how to behave like an incel or what
@@northwildlings6795 awww did you delete your comments and run away? Also yeah, your mom typed it while I spoke the incel handbook into truth, then she asked me tospankher w the printed version. It’s thiccckk too#goodgirl #baddog
Wow. Shades of “To Kill a Mockingbird”! Brilliant! Moving! Powerful! Memorable!
This was a stoke of genius. Just talk to the jury on a common sense level and they won’t let you down. Justice has been served thanks to “ the little detective” Maggie and Paul…RIP now….job done!
WOW. Folks, THAT was a closing argument. Fair to say, the best Ive ever listened to.
No flipping notes in this rebuttal! Awesome! Straight and clean!! I was riveted to my seat and so were the jury & audience members!
Well then, Mr. Meadors. You tell it. That was something.
He did such a good job! He wrapped it up perfectly. I’m so impressed. 👏🏻👏🏻
The most telling part of this was Alex's body language during the whole rebuttal. 50 shades of red, death glares, fidgeting, nail biting, mouthing words to his lawyers. He was listening to every syllable while squirming in his chair. This would be huge if I was a juror.
You know what they say….the truth hurts! #Ego
Yes!! Body language experts would agree!!!
😂😂😂😂
He was terrified. He knew he fucked up
You would react that way too if you were innocent.
My grandmother used to say, " You never soar so high that you don't land."
Mine used to say, "Put my cigarettes back in my purse!"

BRILLIANT BRILLIANT BRILLIANT BRILLIANT CLOSING STATEMENT…..AND HE SPOKE FROM THE HEART !!!!!
At the 51 minute mark "dad I have some insurance on you! if you lie not the kind you make money off of. CLASSIC 😁
John Meadors killed it.
I came to watch this because every other attorney in America is talking about what a good job Meadors did.
John Meadors single handedly saved this case from the lukewarm state closing till this point. He's the unsung hero as Waters and Wilson basking the limelight. I respect this man for his authenticity and tremendous skills as a prosecutor. You know he has prepared all his life for this closing.
I think it's silly to choose favorite prosecutors. Each has his style. Each is masterful.
I totally agree!
John Meadors put his
heart and soul into this
case and he touched the
hearts of the jury, his fellow
attorneys, the judge and those
looking and keeping up with the
story on cable news and Online.
He taught a Masterclass in how
to close an argument with common
sense. Not only did he use HIS common sense, but he got the jury
to use theirs. He told the case as a
story, and that helped everyone to
see the situation for what it really
was: A Cold. Blooded. Murder. that
was committed by an evil individual,
who in this case, is the husband and father of the victims. John Meadors
put feeling and passion in this case
as he fought valiantly for justice for
2 murdered people who were killed
off guard by the one person who should have loved them: the husband and father. There's no telling WHAT he put his family thru
before it came to this; that is why
Maggie and Paul were not living with
Alec. The Mudaughs were NOT even
living together as a family, and that in itself speaks volumes. They all were going their own way. Paul was
REALLY scarred, that is why he drank
the way he did: what did he KNOW or
have on his father? The boat case was a result of what was going on in
the home of the Murdaugh family.
You don't go driving a boat around
drunk at night if your daddy really loves and cares about you. And Maggie KNEW her husband: she did
not want to be with him ANYMORE.
But she allowed him to manipulate
her ONE last time-and look at the result! This is a warning story for
any woman out there who is married
to a monster: leave him and get yourself and your kid(s) as FAR away
as possible before something like the Murdaugh murders happens to you!
This prosecutor is certainly a great storyteller, an experienced state attorney, nailing the case against AM. He GOT him.
He was outstanding.
Today,
Justice was served.
