Unfortunately, I know what it feels like to go thru this. She was my fiancee and Her son. They were killed by a drunk driver. I cried for a week non-stop, I couldn't talk about them for a year without breaking down, they are still in my dreams. Everybody is different, but this guy is too calm. Way to calm and it makes me uncomfortable. I have added thier names to my comment....Denise Charley and Dustin Charley killed Oct. 23rd 1992. Green township, Ohio. I see you in my dreams.

Deeply sorry for your tragic loss. I too know the devastation of a loved one murdered. My beloved Dad, 1986. He had just turned 56. For months all I could do was cry. I couldn't say 2 words without being a total heap. If I'd have been asked for as little as a toothpick, I couldn't have reached for it 5' away. My faith paternal Granny, my friends carried me through. Awaiting the trial for over a year after several postponements was beyond agonizing. We knew the murderer, our psychopathic mother. No remorse. We learned she died in 1989.
I feel especially awful for Maggie's family, her mom and dad, sister, the witnesses for the Prosecutor's side. I can't imagine being parents knowing my daughter and grandson were murdered. I also cannot imagine being the Satterfield family, Beach family and so many more.
A.M. was acting more like an atty. than any bereaved spouse and Dad with his line of questions to the interviewer in this tape, 1 day prior to their funerals no less.
Would be interesting to learn from autopsy if Maggie, Paul had actually eaten any of the dinner the housekeeper had prepared...or was the murderer awaiting their arrival at the kennel before heading to his mother's home, thus with tarp in hand concealing what?
I'm sorry for your loved ones being outright murdered by a drunk. Nothings as hideous nor painful than your loved ones being MURDERED. At least when others die and we attend their funerals we can and do say to ourselves ( only) " Well, thank God, the deceased did not have THEIR loved one(s) taken by the hands of another." Natural deaths, deaths through horrid, convoluted illnesses, pain and suffering deaths can truly bring relief for survivors who have not lost their loved ones because they were murdered!
Yes, the one entity we share in common in death as surviving loved ones is " loss." Well always wish for that loved one being right with us in life...grief. broken hearts. But it's indescribable to have our loved ones not only murdered in cold blood, then we've got to go through he'll beyond any description publicly and be party of a damned grueling trial. Enough. I thank God every day there is nobody I loved nor will ever love like the family I once had. Thank God I'll never know a repeat of that pain to live with ever again. Everybody's gone in my fam. I'll be seeing them in time and for Eternal life. It's been a long, hard journey and wait! Thoughts, prayers, the murderer dead were never enough for me any more than anyone else in the same situation... Some things simply are UNfixable in this life...

What does that have to do with this murder? The people to blame for that boating accident is all the others in the boat who allowed him to get the beer, drink the beer get that drunk , like they too were drunk. His friends are liable in my view because they did not stop him, especially if he had a history of getting drunk like they say he would get. In Democratic Connecticut the prosecutors charged the passengers in the car because they allowed a underage drinker drive a car drunk. Thats how Democrats deal with this.

    • @Willow-Creek

@@Lmarjorie1 I’m kinda confused about your question. Paul had a tendency to get extremely drunk and “Timmy” they called came out. People begged him to let someone else drive the boat. The place where they were offered an Uber, they also were offered to stay at the home. Why the others didn’t accept the offers is something we don’t know. Buster should be held or should have held some responsibility for the his part of giving the underage brother an identification that wasn’t his. It’s a crime that should have been been avoided by all means. I hate it for the people involved. I watched the video of the crash into the pilings and it was awful. Paul was belligerent and mean even to ems who were there to help. Paul also was smiling when Ms. Beach’s boyfriend confronted him about her being missing. This family has been involved with so much criminal activity for years. I don’t live far from the area and it’s actually really nauseating and sickening how evil people are, especially Alex.

    • @Lmarjorie1

@@Willow-Creek I agree , if his brother knowingly let him use his ID He should be held accountable. But every person in that boat also knew Pauls age , were drinking, and knew he was getting beer for them all. Everyone in that boat were suing for 30 Million Alex, Paul and Buster putting all the blame on them instead on themselves. They were also suing the store... when he used a false ID. How is it the convienent stores fault when someone looks just like his brother and presents a ID to buy the beer? It seems they all jumped on a lets get rich blame every one but ourselves oppertunity. That is all I am saying. They didn't know Alex was broke, may have looked rich but the banks owned everything from bad investments and overleveridging . Yes, if Buster knew and let him use his Id he should be held account . But one stupid does not make his dad a murderer. Was Alex a scumbag yes and Evil for stealing money. But my comment is about the murders. High School students across America use fake id , friends to drink. Its a national problem, not just Murdaughs. But his friends who let him do it , in my view are equally liable. And for them to get on the lawsuit bandwagon and try to cash in was wrong. Alex's insurance would have paid out to the family of the girl who died but because the survivors in the boat started blaming his parents and the store the Alex Insurance Company refused to pay. In many states a teeenager can drink at home if under the supervision of the parents. its actually legal. I know this because I am a parent. Some parents will let a teenager and or college student experiment at home in a safe place and its legal. I am not sure about SC. But because the survivors in the boat starting blaming Alex and Maggie , their insurance company refused to pay. Then they all went after all of them for 30 Million thinking they were rich. People don't realize someone can have all the lookings of rich but the bank owns everything and they are steps away from being bankrupt like Alex whose realestate investments did not work out and he was in debt up to his ears living off credit and bank loans. It is quite suspicious to me to hear Alex 's secretary was blood related to the girl who died and just within a week of her finding out how broke Alex was and how he was stealing money. knowing he could not possibly pay a 30M payout that Paul and Maggie were both killed brutally. I personally think she told someone in the family, they realized they may not get a dime after all the others were paid back and took revenge on the family personally. Not sure Alex should have let her stay on. She said at the trial she could keep family and work seperate. But I don't think so in a small town. She was more of a spy feeding information back to the family of the girl who died and the boaters who were suing Alex for 30 Million.

I just reply back it was t your child was it .Never expect others to do different if you've not walked in their shoes. Easier said than done when it's not you. Alex lying about being at kennels and the resentment and bitter tone in his voice when he said Maggie never had to work has me leaning toward him being guilty at this time . I can tell you after learning what he did, profiting off the housekeepers death not giving her sons a dime a crumb lying to them would make me want to throw him under the jail to rot forever for that reason only. He was greedy and I think he hated the thought of Maggie and Paul being free and himself in jail for all his money crimes he committed and blamed them and he also had a fear of what Maggie would have ultimately gotten in the event of her divorcing him . She had hired a financial auditor . They was trouble in that marriage had been for awhile. Think he just hell with them and may choked and not killed himself after them being dead . Part of me thinks he may have hired it done but was there to see to it the job got done right and he gave them the money that night. Eddie Smith knows alot .

Outside of looking at the evidence, there is an interesting way he talks about things. "I went back there, and you know, I saw it", not sure if that is how most would describe finding loved ones at the crime scene. A repeated phrase he says to investigators that stands out is, " you can ask me anything". Several con artists have used that phrase to establish rapport and trust with people, to give an impression of honesty.

    • @Aa_mdl
      @Aa_mdl Год назад +34

I don't understand why he didn't call for a lawyer while being questioned by police and being recorded. Because blabbing whether you are honest and innocent or not, you can still mess up your words, say to much, say something wrong, implicate yourself in a way they can twist it etc. Him being a lawyer for 30yrs he should know that you always ask for an attorney especially when they are questioning you for suspect in double murder plus tax fraud, company fraud, Healthcare fraud, two dead housekeepers buried on his property, he's been a hard drug addict for over ten years and alcoholic, trafficking drugs, he was in financial ruin and was losing his home because of the drugs, he SAYS he and his wife were perfect, always perfect, never ever fought, is A TOTAL LIE, she filed for divorce as you will see during the trial. He ALSO was being sued over his sons (who he killed) boating accident where HIS SON was black out drunk, driving a boat with 5 or 6 friends at night fast as hell whipping it around in the pitch black and he rams straight into a dock almost decapitating a girl on board and ejecting her from the boat and she drowned! So while his son was alive, he was about to go to trial for murder and reckless endangerment. The night it happened all the kids were in the hospital and Alex was telling all the kids, "don't say Paul my son was driving". He even went as far as telling the kids and parents in the ER (WHILE THE HEADLESS GIRL IS LOST IN THE LAKE DEAD) to say it was another kid who was doing the driving and that he would "look out for them and their families". Corruption from the start. And then on top of the state bringing charges against Paul for murder and reckless endangerment and dui, civil lawsuits from parents come in and from the dead girls parents. So Alex was going bankrupt further than he already was trying to cover for his son. SO he's in millions upon millions dollars of debt, corruption charges, stealing from all his clients, a massive drug addict, a son who is a drunk spoiled drug addict in trouble for murder due ect, a wife who knows all about this financial crisis he caused, she files for divorce, the town is against the whole family because of generations of corruption, murder and lies and now the deadly boating incident....Alex kills his wife for leaving him (they were already separated she wasn't even living at home) killed his son Paul because he can't pay the legal fees or get him off and can't pay in civil court. Then Alex days later pays someone to shoot him not to kill him just injure him while he is "fixing a tire on the side of the road" lmao sure

The camera stayed on Buster for quite a while as Alex was talking about his mother and brother, and he sat there with no emotion at all. Like a steel trap. How could he possibly be so stoic?
Also, the first thing Alex says he did after waking from his nap was call and text Maggie, but she didn’t answer. You’d think he would drive down to the kennels to see if they were okay or would holler for them out in the yard. But he hops in the car to go check on his mom without first making sure his wife and son are okay when they’re supposed to be on the property. That doesn’t make sense at all not to check on them first.

It would also hurt to talk about other living breathing families.
Alex had this earnest looking small smile on his face while listening to that part of the interview.
I guess that was his way of trying to influence jury into listening to the interview in an innocent way too. Actually his facial expressions and body language do a lot of that during the trial. (Trying to influence jury.)
(I don’t know if the Satterfield boys testimony was before jury- pretty sure it was not- but his facial expression then was like “that’s dirty of the state to try & bring my vicious behavior towards the Satterfield into this”.)

How does he know. He just said guns laying all over the property. I’ve never seen such irresponsible people.

It seems strange to me that Alex doesn't seem at all concerned about finding whoever did this or even who did it.?.🤔

Exactly! Even the fact he asked the detective to talk with his siblings for clarity, to update about leads, evidence and to answer questions as if he was advocating for a grieving husband and family who had just lost his wife and child, I guess he forgot that's the role he was suppose to be playing! Smdh. Only person who wouldn't be hampering the police about getting to the bottom of this, finding the killer etc would be the killer themselves! They already know who the killer is so they forget to pretend they don't and behave how an innocent person would! Plus with being guilty and all, they wouldn't want to press the police to find them although they want info to know what the police has on them and if they are suspecting them!

Alex was playing the celebrity attending to his fans and getting all the attention. He forgot to sign autographs. The chit chat with detectives investigating him are going to sink him. His pretentiousness and air of superiority in a moment like that is sickening.

He conveniently leaves out that he texted his wife to come home and she left the doctor's appointment early.
