We have an "ancient" Bowflex that a family member gave us quite a few years ago and we were finally able to create a space for it so I'm excited to finally be able to use it on a consistent basis because I've gotten very unfit and rather than pay for a gym membership and driving for 20 minutes one way to get there, it's going to be nice to walk downstairs, rain or shine, to do my workouts. Thanks for keeping your videos clean and uncluttered, you've got a new follower :)
My Bowflex arrived today! As a guy with MS I haven't had a good strength workout in 5 years. I honestly wasn't sure If I could do it because of the fatigue that comes with my condition. Luckily my upper body isn't really effected so I was able to follow along. The 30lb setting was just right for me while still being challenging. I want to thank you for the great video and I'll be following along to your other ones as well. I felt a bit like my old self again. Thanks for a great workout!
I agree with others. These workouts are the best. I have never been a fitness person. Your videos, keep me motivated. I can accomplish what I can. I always feel better after. I aim for 3 videos/week. They are all fabulous!!!
This is a first time work out on the Bow Flex. I got to admit, I was very intimated and scared! I found your video very helpful; the pace was great! Thank you!!!!

Just got an older used bowflex yesterday, got it home, and realized I have no idea how to use it. Your videos are exactly what I need for my fitness journey. Now to figure out where to put my phone to watch while working out lol.
I’m newly returning to my 20 year old Bowflex power pro after a 7 year hiatus. I’m a retired combat vet and I feel the need to get my body back into good physical condition again. Perhaps that’s part of the spark that’s been missing in my life. Thanks for taking the time to put together this fantastic video and sharing your workouts. Your method of instruction is excellent and the clock on the wall is a nice motivator. I made it through this workout without getting confused about anything. I found the 30# weight you recommended was about right. I’m subscribed and will check into your other videos. Hopefully you have a progression training going. Thanks again. All the best!
We've had this thing for a couple years, and I've used it a few times. This workout is focused and simple (no reconfiguring for different sets), so it's just what I need! I can't believe how fast it went, and I feel like I worked! This makes it much more attractive and effective than me fiddling and floundering on my own for an hour. Thanks!

Yep, exactly what I wanted. Some years back I was using my Bowflex and me abs magically appeared. What? Yet, I haven't been on this much since. Looking forward to feeling and seeing the results. Thanks for putting this together.
I appreciate your videos. I am using them to learn ways I can use a Bandflex I have access to. The way you organize your work out and keep the explainations simple make it easy for me to follow.

Just did my 1st workout after rotator cuff surgery. I moved slowly and kept my hands were I could still see them in the shoulder presses. I worked up a sweat and feel pretty good with my accomplishment! Thank you for a great workout!
I just bought a second hand Bowflex and I thought it wouldn't be all that maybe a little help but not much. Then I ran across your workout video. I am glad I found it. Your videos are going to be a lifesaver and also help me finally make use of this investment! Just finished my first workout and loved it! Thank you!!!
Hell yeah! That's exactly why I made this channel. The paper booklet isn't much to go off of and it's hard to make those random exercises into a workout routine. Welcome and I appreciate the comment!
ive had a bowflex for a long time but haven't really gotten a lot out of it. this video series is helping to change that cuz it's structured and laid out in a convenient way, thank u
This was my first workout. Thank you for doing the video. This was a perfect workout for my first time. I like that I can hear the beep towards the end of the rounds, it allows me to focus on my workout rather than tryin to watch for you to change to the next exercise. I am looking forward to the next exercise. I am hoping to work my way to your more challenging ones.
Just started exercising again after a few years of not making it a priority. I enjoy your beginner workouts. I had to start out with 15 pounds for my arms. Thanks for sharing your workouts.
I recently bought a Bowflex Blaze and was really lost. The manual shows lots of exercises and lists a few workouts at different levels. The whole thing was still really confusing. Their works involve a lot of changing of cables. I really like that this workout allows me to set the cables and complete the workout without changing. I look forward to working through many more of your workouts.
Second workout. Thank you for the easy to follow instructions and motivation. Trying to get in better shape to test for my second degree black belt in taekwondo.
Thanks, J! Love to hear the goal and hope I can help you get there. There are a ton of routines on the channel that can help with increasing the difficulty when you're ready!
I am so glad I found you! You are exactly what I needed, so helpful, the guided workouts, loading weights and equipment instructions. I did this one on Saturday and #2 today and look forward to more! Thank you!
Thanks for such a clear and concise workout! This was great - I'm a 72 year woman, and I loved the challenge of it. I appreciate that you suggested the 30 lb starting weight too.
Started today…. My goal is just to get back in shape… I battled and won a ptsd but during the fight I stopped working out! I use to climb mountains and do to severe hip pain related to Coxarthrosis. My hips will be replaced eventually but I need to get back in to shape!!! Thank you!

As others said, so cool that you've used only one Bowflex setting because fiddling with configuration is....ahem...WAS one of my excuses for not using the system. Your explanations are clear and intuitive. Can't wait to work out with you tomorrow!
I had ankle surgery almost three weeks ago, and will have my leg in an external fixator for 12 weeks. I needed a simple way to keep fit while having very limited mobility, and this seems to be the ticket!
I was so excited to get the blaze but once I set it up I was lost! Thankfully I found your channel. I’m looking forward to checking out your other workouts once I get better at this one.
Thanks, Beth! It's a common experience and exactly why I started recording these videos! Stick with it and keep me posted how things are going and if you have questions.
Just got my PR1000 yesterday and this morning was the first work out on it. I enjoyed working thru the workout with you and plan on coming back tomorrow for the #2 video. Keep posting and I’ll keep coming back!
My first real workout on the Bowflex (other than trying things to figure out how it works). Thanks for making it so easy to get started! I've watched bits of your other videos and I look forward to trying them all out.
I like the routines you have designed for the BowFlex PR1000, and the fact that you keep the settings virtually unchanged for the entire session, the less the better. My only recommendation and request to you is if you please could add stretching for the before and after the session.... Keep up the good work....
glad i stumbled upon your video. have had a BF in my gargage for some 12+ years and seldom used it. also left it under tension for a good period too so will have to figure out what weights wrok best for me. tonight i followed and did all but the situps (some back issues) with the 30lbs. reps were good, pace was good. felt like back in HS or college workout class! i will continue this routine mosty defantely in addition to walk/jogging 3mi in the eve. thanks a million
Awesome! Next time the sit-ups come up, try this variant instead and let me know if that works better. ruclips.net/video/iYQEYVQUpIk/видео.html Consistency is key and hope to see you back in the comments!

I’m so happy we found your channel. We just bought a Bowflex and didn’t find much workout info online . We just watched the first video and loved your presentation . I love the fact we can workout at the same time as watching the video. Thank you!
@@BowflexWorkouts It really is. Seems like they’re missing out on an opportunity. Oh well, that’s your gain. Thank you for putting the time and effort into making these videos. I’m looking forward to working my way through them.
I have been a runner for a few years now, 39 years old. I am in decent cardio shape but now want to gain some muscle. So I did this beginner workout every other day for 1 week, and ran on the other days. It's been great to learn the bowflex. Moving on to beginner workout #2 next. Thank you so much for the videos!
Awesome, thanks David! Are you more endurance or shorter runs? I've been a runner my whole life. Mostly 5Ks, but I've been upping my mileage lately and finally starting to get better at pacing myself for long runs. Idk about you, but I've never done much strength training for my legs because "I got enough from running." I'm really coming around on it because it strengthens some of the joints that are common points of injury.
@@BowflexWorkouts I do 3 or 4 miles a day on weekdays, more of a jog, probably average 9 min miles. On weekends I do longer runs, between 6 and 10 miles. I am doing the DC half marathon in September. So I think I am going to be mostly upper body on the bowflex. Right now I am trying to learn the machine, I just did my first of your 2nd beginner video, gonna do that for a week amd then move on from there. I was not a runner in my younger years, just started a few years ago when a group of my friends dod a fitbit challenge, now I'm hooked! So in trying to get hooked on the bowflex now to build some muscle.
@@BowflexWorkouts I will probably start doing lower body in a few weeks. Like you were saying to help with preventing injuries. I have 3 children so it's tough finding time, I mostly do everything before work at 415 am.
Gotcha. Hope the half marathon goes well! Keep me posted on it and let me know if you have questions about the Bowflex as you get more into it. Our training doesn't sound all that different.
This was awesome! It was my first real bowflex workout. I feel like it was perfect for a beginner. I used 30lbs, and it was perfect! Thank you for this!
Very straightforward. This is my first use of Bowflex and first time here.Thank you so much it was just enough to start kick muscles without getting hurt but not too loose. I will continue watching this videos and putting more weight as I progress.
Thanks, 13! Glad you found the channel and the video helpful. With your timing, you might find this helpful too. I just posted a video on these new Workout Challenges & Leaderboard that I'm rolling out tomorrow. Check it out: ruclips.net/video/nMbgYyG-7hg/видео.html
This has really helped me. Without some level of guidance the Bowflex is confusing (probably only at first, I suppose...) and that's been a major obstacle for me to start using it. Thanks for making these videos, I like the positive attitude and how we actually feel like you are training with* us rather than just showing off your own skills.
Thanks, Psyence! Totally agree that this machine is confusing at first. Another thing with resistance training is you really need a plan for what you're going to be doing that day....otherwise, it's easy to just do a few sets and then call it quits. Thanks for the comment and hope to hear from you in the comments again sometime!
I was very intimidated with the machine itself. I came to find out how to use it and I'm leaving with a bunch of awesome workout routines. Thank you so much for this.
Just did my first work with my bow flex, thank you for sharing and the guidance. Very enjoyable and looking forward to continuing more with you videos.

That's great to hear on both fronts (buying used and effectiveness). Be sure to mix in some cardio or stretch/rest days if you're new to strength training. Resistance training requires more recovery than other types of exercise. Keep it up and hope to see you in the comments again soon!
Awesome, hope you like them! Be sure to switch up your routines. All of the blue ones on this playlist are for beginners using flat benches. ruclips.net/p/PL2v4RQMlW4AG2dDmimQKoZut7Kcph6zCO Hope you keep me posted with how things go!
I'm 82, just got my bowflex blaze, and I'm going to follow your routines, Doctor said I can exercise but I have emphysema and I use oxygen when working out. I think I'm going to start with 25 and work from there. My rest times between sets may be longer though. No physical problems other than emphysema.
Welcome! I hope you find the routines helpful. Let me know if there are any exercises that you're unable to do. I plan to make a Bowflex for Seniors series in 2023 and your feedback would be very much appreciated. I recommend sticking with beginner routines 1-3. Some of #4 might be a bad time (squats and lunges), so you'd need to adjust accordingly. I should probably mention somewhere in here that I'm not a medical professional. I am working towards becoming a certified personal trainer. I was also my father-in-law's informal personal trainer until he passed in January. Seeing the quality of life improvement resistance training can help people--even in old age--was one of the reasons I decided to create the channel. Obviously resistance training fights off muscle loss, but also great for bone density, coordination, and balance. Stick with it, you can do it! Good luck!
Nice video! This was the way I broke in my PR1000. The timer was helpful to make the workout time pass quickly. I noticed that in the PR1000 manual, there is a 20 minute Better Body Workout that also hits some lower body. Any plans to make a video for this particular workout? It would be great having a real-time video to play on the TV in the workout room.
Awesome! I will check it out. For the most part, I haven't found lower body lifts effective on the Bowflex, but to be honest I haven't haven't given it all that much of a chance. I will check it out and consider it for a future workout. BTW, I have beginner workout #2 going up on Thursday.

What I really like about this workout is the fact that you're not screwing around re-configuring the Bowflex between each exercise.
Thanks, Aaron! Yeah, re-running the pulleys and changing the weight after each lift just messes up the flow. Glad you liked the routine!

First time bowflex user and I enjoyed it with you! Looking forward to the outcome. Let's go team 🎉😊
First workout! Thanks for putting the videos together...SO helpful. 😊
Thank you!
My first time! Thank you so much for your content I loved going through and learning this
Thanks for such a clear and concise workout! This was great - I'm a 72 year woman, and I loved the challenge of it. I appreciate that you suggested the 30 lb starting weight too.
I'm new to Bowflex and wasn't really sure how to set things up and get started. Thanks for such an easy to follow and encouraging video!
Started today…. My goal is just to get back in shape… I battled and won a ptsd but during the fight I stopped working out! I use to climb mountains and do to severe hip pain related to Coxarthrosis. My hips will be replaced eventually but I need to get back in to shape!!! Thank you!
Thanks, Lissa! Being Jan 2, you should check out this Workout Challenge and Leaderboard that just went live yesterday. The goal of it is just to help people be consistent and you might like it.
All you have to do to participate is comment and include a "#" in it. To get this workout logged on it, you'd need to comment again with the # in it (a reply to this would work).

3rd workout with you. Thanks for the guide map. I dont think I would have figured out what to do.
Your workout is very helpful! It doesn't leave me hurt afterwards, but makes me feel excersized! 💪💪
As others said, so cool that you've used only one Bowflex setting because fiddling with configuration is....ahem...WAS one of my excuses for not using the system. Your explanations are clear and intuitive. Can't wait to work out with you tomorrow!
Awesome! Hope to see you back in the comments again. Thanks, Kim!!
Thank you. This was my first work out
I have a crossbow and this is very helpful as both of the home gym are almost alike.
Thank you so much for making these beginners videos!!!
I had ankle surgery almost three weeks ago, and will have my leg in an external fixator for 12 weeks. I needed a simple way to keep fit while having very limited mobility, and this seems to be the ticket!
Glad you found it helpful! Good luck with the recovery.
Thank you for these tips I'm starting using this bowflex
I was so excited to get the blaze but once I set it up I was lost! Thankfully I found your channel. I’m looking forward to checking out your other workouts once I get better at this one.
Thanks, Beth! It's a common experience and exactly why I started recording these videos! Stick with it and keep me posted how things are going and if you have questions.
First time using it. Great instructions. Look forward to more.
I just bought a bioflex and was so glad to find your workouts. I was clueless! Thanks!!
Much respect, man! I just bought one of these, it comes in this week. Will be coming back to your channel definitely.
I am so happy I found this. We have had a Bowflex for awhile but I have been lost on how to actually use it!
Just got my PR1000 yesterday and this morning was the first work out on it. I enjoyed working thru the workout with you and plan on coming back tomorrow for the #2 video. Keep posting and I’ll keep coming back!
Awesome to hear that and will do!
My first real workout on the Bowflex (other than trying things to figure out how it works). Thanks for making it so easy to get started! I've watched bits of your other videos and I look forward to trying them all out.
I just found an old Power Pro for 50 bucks on Craigslist and was happy to find this video. I’m excited to do this workout. Thank you!
Just picked up a Bowflex Blaze this afternoon. I think I'll start here! Thanks for taking the time to make these vids. Keep em' comin sir!
Thanks, Bake'n!
I like the routines you have designed for the BowFlex PR1000, and the fact that you keep the settings virtually unchanged for the entire session, the less the better. My only recommendation and request to you is if you please could add stretching for the before and after the session.... Keep up the good work....
Thanks! ...and all my more recent routines have a warm-up and stretch.
Absolutely Wonderul! Such a big help, I did not know how to use this machine very much, but you have helped me a lot and this is just the start for me
That's great, Orion! Hope to see more comments from you as you progress through other routines on the channel!
glad i stumbled upon your video. have had a BF in my gargage for some 12+ years and seldom used it. also left it under tension for a good period too so will have to figure out what weights wrok best for me. tonight i followed and did all but the situps (some back issues) with the 30lbs. reps were good, pace was good. felt like back in HS or college workout class! i will continue this routine mosty defantely in addition to walk/jogging 3mi in the eve. thanks a million
Awesome! Next time the sit-ups come up, try this variant instead and let me know if that works better. ruclips.net/video/iYQEYVQUpIk/видео.html
Consistency is key and hope to see you back in the comments!
First workout on the Bowflex I got for Christmas :) thanks for making these videos! Gained a new subscriber and I look forward to using your videos for more workouts
Love this workout!!! Thank you for posting 😊
#week5 tried to start at 80 lbs but my 30 lbs rods are brand new and kicked my butt, reduced to (70) lbs to complete the workout. thanks!
My very first workout on the boflex. I love your workout!!! Thanks so much for making these great videos. I'll be back tomorrow
My first workout today! Enjoyed! Subscribed!😊
I’m so happy we found your channel. We just bought a Bowflex and didn’t find much workout info online . We just watched the first video and loved your presentation . I love the fact we can workout at the same time as watching the video. Thank you!
Thanks, Dex! It's really weird how little Bowflex stuff there is out there. Glad you found me though!
@@BowflexWorkouts will do. Thanks!
Thanks for the video and the great tips!
This was awesome! It was my first real bowflex workout. I feel like it was perfect for a beginner. I used 30lbs, and it was perfect! Thank you for this!
You love to hear it! I have another beginner workout posted and a 3rd on the way this week. Thanks for the feedback!!
@@BowflexWorkouts awesome! I will check that one out as well. Also subbed to you!
I just got a bow flex to stay in shape for sports you’ve been a big help
Thanks, YTG!
Very helpful as we are considering buying one. Didn't catch which you were using
It's a PR1000. If buying new, please use my affiliate link in the description of the video.
This is my first workout on the bowflex thank you hopefully I keep with the routine
Very cool! Hope it goes well and you make it a regular thing!
I'm new here and I'm setting up my used bowflex sport today. Looking forward to strengthening my body.
It was just right for a newcomer! I kept trying to remind myself to keep my core engaged! Lol good job!
Not bad, you convinced me to work through your playlist
I was very intimidated with the machine itself. I came to find out how to use it and I'm leaving with a bunch of awesome workout routines. Thank you so much for this.
Thank you for making this video! I’ve been intimidated to use the bowflex and your tutorial made it so easy to follow along
Thanks, curly! Make sure you check out my other beginner workouts. Different exercises and very approachable.
New Semester - Starting a new Routine. Thanks Eric #Bowflex2024
Just did my first work with my bow flex, thank you for sharing and the guidance. Very enjoyable and looking forward to continuing more with you videos.
Thanks, Bob! Glad you liked it and hope to see you in the comments again soon!
Thank you x a million. It's my first time using and I'm learning so much; not just the possible exercises but also best practices. Great videos, thanks again for sharing this! ❤️
You're very welcome! Being new to this, I just want to share a few things that might interest you. I just created a leaderboard and Facebook group. Check them out if that sounds interesting. Either way, appreciate the comment and hope to hear updates from you as you progress.

Awesome! Hope you like the routine and be sure to check out the others on the channel. It's important to mix it up!
@@BowflexWorkouts definatly, i subbed ill be getting fuckin jacked now.
This was my first workout with you, but not the first workout on the bow flex but I love it because you took it to a whole other level for me and I’ll continue to get better and better I hope
Thank you so much for this!!! Actually using my bowflex because of you!
Glad you found the channel! There are so many people that bought one and couldn't get into a good routine with it and now it's just taking up space. It's really cool to hear from people like you that they're now using it because of my videos. 😀
Simple yet very effective !!!! Love it !! Thank you. I teach cardio disciplines and I’m trying to incluide more muscle conditioning activities in my own workouts to retain some muscular mass and these workouts are perfect!! Short and sweet 💪🏼💪🏼thank you 🙏🏼I double the second half and gave me just what I needed !! You rock !!! ❤❤❤
Thanks! Please be sure to check out other vids on the channel. Would love to get more feedback from a professional on them!

Thank you! Very nice of you to say that...and I hope it keeps getting better!
Just started my workout on my bowflex PR100. Thanks for the help on getting in shape.

#2023HealthGoals
Just got my first bowflex, used Blaze. using #1 and #2 videos to get started. Day #3 done and already have sore muscles. Awsome!!
That's great to hear on both fronts (buying used and effectiveness). Be sure to mix in some cardio or stretch/rest days if you're new to strength training. Resistance training requires more recovery than other types of exercise. Keep it up and hope to see you in the comments again soon!
Thank you so much. My first work workout and it was just right for me. Well explained and good pace so no time to get bored!
Just discovered your page! Can’t wait to try your workouts out. I’m 41 and brand new at fitness
Awesome, hope you like them! Be sure to switch up your routines. All of the blue ones on this playlist are for beginners using flat benches. ruclips.net/p/PL2v4RQMlW4AG2dDmimQKoZut7Kcph6zCO
Hope you keep me posted with how things go!
You have helped me a lot and it’s very appreciated
You're welcome! I've got many more Beginner routines on the channel, so be sure to check them out: ruclips.net/p/PL2v4RQMlW4AG2dDmimQKoZut7Kcph6zCO
