To ease my mind of stress, I found that working as hard as possible, physically, will calm me. Physically, I will be agonising. But mentally, everything is right with the world. Thus, I am always, working on my garden, repairing my home, making fuel, maintaining my property, doing extremely heavy things with my body. I refuse to join a gym when I can use the effort for productive results, not just for exercise and building muscle. Besides, the gym does not give me the same mind calming effect that hard physical labour gives me.

@Hurchely and that means everyone IS intelligent...like I'm not stupid ofc I get what you mean, but in case you've never heard of the g factor, you might search it up
My brother is undoubtely a genius, but he goes badly at school, we try to cheer him up at times but he really doesnt enjoy his bad grades, hes adhd and very hyperactive Ill show him this.
I had signs 2-6, and I know that I’m probably highly intelligent, especially since my dad is also of high intelligence and I can hold deep conversations with him easily. 🙂
You don't need to be a genius to do reasonably well in life. It only matters for the few percent of population who are at the very top across every field.

I drink occasionally. It helps me be more creative. Some of my best poems have been written while I was drunk. Weed doesn’t affect me that much so it’s pretty rare for me to use it. It’s not my thing.
I've always felt I was brilliant and for years I was reassured. I'm almost 22 now, and everyone im surrounded by subtly hints that they think I'm a complete moron. To further this, every time I try to explain an abstract concept to them or to defend myself, they act like I'm the fool for trying to explain a concept they don't understand. They'll think I'm just completely missing the general idea of whatever we're partaking in. Lately I feel more and more like they're (purposefully or accidentally, doesn't make much of a difference) just gaslighting me :(
I want to preface this with the fact that being (statistically) brilliant isn't the end all be all. I understand that it's somewhat subjective and I absolutely make it a point not to be condescending. I guess I'm just looking to see how much I should let go considering I'm not exactly a pushover either.
Maybe you can occasionally test yourself... Find a concept that you think you can explain and understand well, while others seem hell bent to put you down about it... AND build a model based on it. It doesn't have to be particularly big or expensive... It's just a "proof of concept" so it DOES have to use the concept as it's core of operation... like the laws of magnetism (for instance) should be utilized in a gizmo that USES magnets to operate... Objectively, then... IF you DO understand the concept (magnetism in this example) then the "proof of concept" should function as you intend it to... Meaning that entirely on your own recognizance, you can design and predict the functions and all of the finished model... If it does anything else, then you still have some work to do. It's NOT a "pass/fail" test, by the way. It's important to understand that. If you seem to understand mostly, then the model will conform mostly to your design and predictions... If it's better or more comprehensive than you originally intended, you should either be able to explain why (off the top of your head) OR you have a little research to do to figure it out for that... AND you can learn something from the process... If you can't seem to get it to do anything at all, then you objectively have work to do to GET to the understanding you thought you had... AND that's worth its share of investment as well... I rather enjoy my chances to "re-invent the wheel" (figuratively speaking), because I get to play with the laws of physics and concepts as I think I understand them... AND sometimes I find that I DO have a lot left to learn... or that I forgot about something, which can be fun, too... There is NO "failure"... only setbacks until you succeed or quit, either of which are up to YOU... AND when you DO get the "proof of concept" to work, it can serve as a fine example of whatever you're trying to explain... Sometimes (ahem... "often") it's not so much that people think we're stupid or uneducated, at least, not at first. It's a limit of language that hinders our ability to explain ourselves to someone else's satisfaction... SO a physical functioning example can work VERY well at helping with that... giving a tangible operation that someone can then ask about directly, and you can use it to explain just as directly whatever you were trying to help them understand... Finally, if it should turn out that someone IS really gaslighting you into believing you're less intelligent or engaging than you really are, it's likely their OWN insecurity at work. Unfortunately THEY have to do the work on themselves to get over that insecurity. You can only offer so much help... BUT you do NOT have to tolerate gaslighting. ;o)
@@Rhaedeon You're ALWAYS welcome... I wish you the very best of luck with it, too! For my part (and experience), 9 out of 10 times I've tested myself by just inventing something from scratch on the concept I thought I had pretty well understood, I proved all the "nay-sayers" wrong... Apparently, I really COULD do what I set out to do, and while adjustments occasionally needed made, the core concept was solid... Now, there were occasions that I was missing some vital information or had made more of a "leap" than I was prepared at the time to handle "all at once"... BUT usually, even then, there was research and I still learned something... Sometimes the thing was possible or at least plausible, even if it would prove more expensive than it would ever be worth to finish... ...BUT objectively, I could accept that I "didn't get it" when I tried and the whole project collapsed... THEN at least, I could reach an understanding of what I was missing about it, and make actual progress... The whole "You're just wrong and stupid" argument never did impress me much... no matter how loudly it was repeated. In any case, I really DO hope this helps. I believe in you! ;o)
I've noticed and have experienced how intelligence can be altered or adapt to the needs of an individual; but there are going to be core qualities that never change.
@@Psych2gohello ma’am, will it still count if I have some of these things, but my parent(dad) discouraged them making me not curious anymore, making me bored of my passion (math) but yes, I could mentally do things. Like, I can picture a random box mentally bring it closer to me, cut the box into parts and perform calculations mentally on each part of the box. I just have a hard time picturing things(not aphantaisa just lack of practice) but yes, IF I could picture things very clearly mentally, then yes, I’ll be able to do these things. (Mental multiplication, division algebra calc etc).
Watching this is kind of weird, I had an iq test when I was 11. I used to relate with so many of these when I was younger. Tho I learnt with time to really enjoy company and being with others. The rest I still keep, im learning my 6th instrument, I still read about science and mathmatics even though Ive chosen to follow a semi-artistic path. I guess when we grow older our priorities might change since we all have different personalities. Another thing to have in mind is that people with high IQ are more prone to mental health issues. I developed depression, adhd and ocd (ocd in the absolute worst sense, not the very tidy must have everything in the right place kind of ocd). I want to remind everyone, if you are feeling down, going to a psychologist helps a lot. I dont advise medication, I advise talk treatment, at least for people with high IQ. Because we can understand what other tell us better and process our worries away most of the time. Of course there are limits for talk therapy, they do a test, if it goes over a threshold you are sent to get meds, but you still continue having talk therapy for that problem.
Overtime I've found myself change in my style of intelligence. Ive always had the ability to consume information at a freighting rate. I've never studied a thing more than once. And in essence i was the model student. But as I grew older i drifted away from that. I still consume information at the same rate. But more towards the creative side. Where once I was good with numbers and the sciences I've gained a much firmer grasp of the arts.
while intelligent people display these characteristics, these characteristics dont make you a genius, so lets keep that in mind for the 99.999% of normal IQs watching this
"here are 5 signs youre the hottest most intelligent most important person ever: 1. You breathe 2. You blink 3. You have bowel movements 4. You are reading this 5. You are based on carbon
I value my time alone. It's something that I don't get to do much. When there's no one in the house i enjoy it. I put music on and do my personal things at my pace and i feel calm and relaxed.
ive allways said i was smart as a joke but this video just described me. hi my name is Ray i'm an introvert, my daily schedule is whatever the hell i wanna do at the moment, i often get lost in hours of thought from one idea with little to no backbone, im obsessed with theoretical and hypothetical stuff and my sense of humor is bullying
I'm smart or at least everyone always says so. I honestly feel stupid because of all the things I don't know. My problem is that I want everything to be easy, and it usually is, however, I get easily flustered learning new things due to anxiety.
A clear mind is diamond for great minds. Although I do not like to call my self to have the possession of a great mind, there have been hundreds of instances that indicate this. The evidence has only gotten stronger since I've learned how to meditate and be mindful.
Yesterday I had an encounter with a child genius. Working theoretical physics at the local university at 17 years old. We had a long and complex conversation but It only took us about 20 seconds to recognize eachother. He interrupted to say “you’re like me.” I laughed and said I couldn’t even do grade 10 math. He said “our missions are different.” The most unfortunate thing about a life like this is how few people actually understand.
Can u please make more vid about mental health cause there has been a lot about being intelligent. And pls make sure to take care of urself and rest. Stay safe 😊
I always thought I was stupid because I hated school, I was totally bored and so I ignored studying and taking notes. But still kept a 3.5. I’m always coming up with new inventions in my head, and new ideas. I’m often isolated, I stay up late, I love classical music and heavy metal, I’m always worried. List goes on. It wasn’t until adulthood that I discovered my above average intelligence. But it’s largely worthless as I have terrible social skills and my mind has made it actually harder to keep jobs.
Our reality is defined by the stories we tell ourselves... Alter the story... Alter one's reality... It's not so much what something is or isn't but the narratives we attach to said thing that gives it it's meaning and value... It is when something moves past the physical to the emotional that it has the most impact on our reality...
More like "Here are 6 things that we're sure everyone who watches this will be able to relate to at least one, so everyone can think they're smart. Although you really aren't special. Or a genius."
I feel like relating to at least 4 signs out of the 6 mentioned above, and perhaps there might me some truth in it for I don't know so very many people like me being fluent in 5 languages and being able to read texts in at least 10-12, but had I had more time and less stress and troubles in life, they could have been more. But still, this (like so many other things) is not a matter of intelligence but of brutal resilience, genuine passion for what one wants to learn and a will made out of steel in order to get that knowledge in your head. Intelligence and the ways to genuinely measure and assess it are so tangled and subjective that I hardly believe a fully conclusive result could ever be obtained.
I'm always worried about how smart I am because sometimes I really notice that some of my friends are dumber than me (which worries me because that makes me believe that I'm probably the stupid one not the other way around) but I also have some friends where I notice that they must be smarter than me just from the conclusions they're able to make.
The constant thinking and questioning seems to cause a lot of anxiety, especially because it is hard to shut off. Which if untreated can cause addition. I also have found that alone time is not only needed to solve problems but to process thoughts as well.
I’ve often said that I believe that I partake in alcohol, and such, to be able to relate better to the thinking of the masses. It’s not to “dumb down”. It’s to soothe the insatiable inquiries of the mind that distract
If you haven’t already done a video on this, could you make one about signs that your crush likes you even if you don’t talk to them? There’s this guy that I like a lot but I don’t talk to him.

Being a genius or having the traits of one isn't always a good thing but thank you for helping me realize some things
Everyone is intelligent and this helps us to learn more about ourselves.ty for making those educational stuff
Besides being self reassuring, your comment is wrong. Not everyone is intelligent. Intelligence varies individually.
Though, I agree with you that this channel is great! 👍🏻
@Hurchely and that means everyone IS intelligent...like I'm not stupid ofc I get what you mean, but in case you've never heard of the g factor, you might search it up

Fortunately I have 2 or 3 people at my job that share my dark & twisted sense of humor. We feed off each other. It's a great stress reliever.
I think these intelligent people have a higher rate of depression, hence the substance abuse :(
I adopt all of these, except the addiction.. how interesting - great video, thank you!
Keep up the good work! I really love your videos!
Guess I'm a genius because of my dark humour-

I have “question everything” tattooed on my right forearm so it’s wild you mentioned that.

I had signs 2-6, and I know that I’m probably highly intelligent, especially since my dad is also of high intelligence and I can hold deep conversations with him easily. 🙂
One mistake that smart people make is that they think they are smart, they are not! - Eoln Muks
You don't need to be a genius to do reasonably well in life. It only matters for the few percent of population who are at the very top across every field.
I feel like this is kinda saying like *"Smart people are alive, therefore if you are alive you are smart."*
“Do you question everything? That’s a sign to great intelligence.”

Hey Psych2Go, if creating all these videos is tiring we can wait, there's no need to make videos everyday
BUT you do NOT have to tolerate gaslighting. ;o)
@@gnarthdarkanen7464 thank you very much. I think I'm gonna tryvhis
Always been a fan of yours and know I am finally giving You back some proof of My appreciation ❤
Wow, thanks for your extra support! It means a lot to us.
This is mad who sends lots of money to a RUclips channel 😂
Loved the sound effects. Thank you for this video.
Glad you like them! :) Did you relate to these signs?
@@Psych2go Yes, without a doubt. Although it seems very unmodest of me to admit it in public. But, yes, in truth, I did related to all 6 signs.

I CRIED THIS WAS SO HEALING.
while intelligent people display these characteristics, these characteristics dont make you a genius, so lets keep that in mind for the 99.999% of normal IQs watching this
my IQ isn't normal
my IQ is as low as hell
"Action is the real measure of intelligence." - Napoleon Hill
being high and getting philosophical as a genius is bliss but most people avoid such conversations
"here are 5 signs youre the hottest most intelligent most important person ever: 1. You breathe 2. You blink 3. You have bowel movements 4. You are reading this 5. You are based on carbon

7. You’re empathetic(emotional intelligence)
Well your voice is kind of good and relaxing 🤧👌
I value my time alone. It's something that I don't get to do much. When there's no one in the house i enjoy it. I put music on and do my personal things at my pace and i feel calm and relaxed.
ive allways said i was smart as a joke
but this video just described me.
hi my name is Ray i'm an introvert, my daily schedule is whatever the hell i wanna do at the moment, i often get lost in hours of thought from one idea with little to no backbone, im obsessed with theoretical and hypothetical stuff and my sense of humor is bullying
"Patrick, your genius is showing"
I really hope that this is accurate, because I show all 6 signs, especially the last one
I knew I was 70 types of genius...
I’m pleasantly surprised at how many I resonated with omg
The first two and the last two. New ideas, question so many things, enjoy my alone time and have a sense of humor some people don't get.
Yeah, its big brain time
Yesterday I had an encounter with a child genius. Working theoretical physics at the local university at 17 years old.
We had a long and complex conversation but It only took us about 20 seconds to recognize eachother. He interrupted to say “you’re like me.”
I laughed and said I couldn’t even do grade 10 math. He said “our missions are different.”
The most unfortunate thing about a life like this is how few people actually understand.
We use substances to numb out the existential dread that comes along with the burden of knowledge.
Unfortunately the situation I’m in, not sure if I’m intelligent, but most definitely an addict
High iq or not, a good friend is a good friend and they’re not very good friends if they’re deflecting you and or putting you down.
Take that, world. RUclips said I'm smart.
you makes everyone a genius
Research says I'm either a moron or a loser
The constant thinking and questioning seems to cause a lot of anxiety, especially because it is hard to shut off. Which if untreated can cause addition. I also have found that alone time is not only needed to solve problems but to process thoughts as well.
I don't like how closely relatable these are to myself.
It is uncomfortable.
This video only exacerbated my misery as I don’t exhibit a single one of those attributes.
