Man I was hook when you made the homemade smoke machine I have all these parts I've learned something today thank you good video
That's awesome!!! Thank you for the support 😃
Great video and audio clear and sharp
Thank you very much
Great vid!
I have the same issue with my 07 frontier with 289k miles. Thanks a lot!
Thank you for the support. Hopefully, it didn't fight you too much.
I own a 2004 Nissan Pathfinder Armada and I had 4 codes for my check engine light!
I had purge valve, 02 sensors random misfires and emissions!
I can't afford to go out and buy parts that may or may-not be the causes for the codes!
Yesterday, I was messing around with the under hood fuse box because my low beam headlights stopped working!
I rearranged a few of the relays, using the fog lamp relay for headlight relay and it cured the headlight 8sdue! I drove to Walmart and 85 would stall at intersections coming to a stop, sometimes it would start right away and sometimes not! Ran code reader again and they were 02 sensor, purge valve open, random misfires and evape!
I went back home took all the relays out of that little box, 2 brown relays 1 black relay and 1 blue one! I started with a brown relay, taking it apart to exam it! Relays are like a set of points, they make😂contact and that's how the relay gets activated!
The points of contact were burnt, blackened and coroded!
I took a small piece of sandppaper and cleaned the contact points, after popping that clip back in I adjusted those points, using a piece of the cardboard from a book of matches as a feeler guage!
I repeated this with all 4 of the relays, replaced them, reset the computer and cleared my code reader and went for a ride!
My check engine light has not came back on, no codes have been detected and my Armada is running just fine!
Very nice!!! Good work 👏
Great video!
Thank you
Great video
Thank you!!!
Good job
Thank you!!
awesome smoke machine i may use your idea when im in a jam 👍
Thank you. Just trying to save a little cash. 😁
New to repairs, is the “service engine soon” light what you are calling the “check engine” light? I can’t find a “check engine” light in my dash instrument panel for my 2006 Frontier. Trying to figure out if my “check engine” light is not working or is it out? Thanks.
Yes. Older cars had a similar dummy light, which displays "Check Engine," or a picture of an engine. So, I use the term loosely when the vehicle displays a light to indicate something is wrong under the hood. The our trucks they say "Service Engine Soon," but it means the same thing. Good question.
Would that also cause your gas cap light to come on?
On some vehicles, it can.
I have a 2009 mercury mariner and my engine light comes on and I hooked it up to the machine and it said eat that leak a small leak. I have a rip on my gas door so could that be the problem ev leak
It is difficult to say without troubleshooting
So you don't need to manually close the EVAP valve because it is already closed if the car is off?
Purge or Vent Valve? The EVAP Canister Vent Control Valve is Normally Opened (NO). The EVAP Canister Purge Valve is Normally Closed (NC).
@@mcgurrentertainment thank you,, the vent valve, its the same one that he replaced, is it supposed to be closed to do the smoke test. It's not the purge valve because that is the one he uses for the smoke inlet? Just to confirm, he said that mechanic usually closes it, but it's not necessary because the car is off?
They shut the vent valve to maintain a constant pressure as well as allow only one path for the smoke to flow (ideally the leak location). When the car is off, the vent valve is open, which requires the technician to use a computer to close the valve before doing their smoke test.
@@mcgurrentertainment thank you, but that sucks for me, because I don't have a computer. And I thought connecting the smoker to the EVAP and it very simple and straightforward. But I will keep it in mind, prior to doing it.🙏
What the code po442 means in the Nissan Frontier 2013
Not sure. But for the 2009, it's "EVAP Control System small leak detected (negative pressure)"
Can the emission test pass if code is clear, and nothing done to the vehicle.
I'm not familiar with emission tests. May need to research that one.
Mine did
What if it takes 200 miles of driving before you EVAP check engine light comes back on?
Before or after replacing the valve?
with never replacing the valve, just clearing the code in your car, driving, then 644 miles later the light comes on again. I would have thought that the light and code would come on again within a couple of miles of clearing the code, not hundreds of miles later.@@mcgurrentertainment
It sounds like the valve is sticking. Same code (P0455)?
P0455 code @@mcgurrentertainment
I got the same code in my 2009 maxima po455 large leak is that what yours said?
Does it match the picture from 1:00?
Yes thanks 🙏 changing that part tomorrow already ordered it
Awesome. Let me know how it turns out.
Got same car same code. Ordered part. Hopefully it works

Video is good just one problem I can't save the video for later viewing so it is a one time view not going to bother seraching for it
Odd. Wonder why it won't let you save it.
