TBH eviscerations aren't the worst thing in the world. They look intense, but if there's no life threatening hemorrhage, the key is to keep the organs damp and sterile. obviously they aren't sterile in a river, but they're certainly damp. moist bandages over the injury site, and do not try to put anything back inside. That's all. It looks gruesome, but it's not nearly as bad as like, a junctional stab wound or something with a lot of blood loss.
they shouldnt have messed with him but oh well. Its best to leave these things alone and not escalate them further because theres ALWAYS someone whos willing to take it further and crazier than you. RIP BIKE
@lopopachope your dad is a smart man. You don't know what someone is going thru. If those boys just let him look for his phone and mind their own business, this doesn't happen. They are responsible for things escalating. I know they Will never make that mistake again
That's the truth! They may be on drugs, mentally ill, just found out their wife cheated on them or a family member passed away unexpectedly....don't antagonize strangers for fun, it might cost your life!
And now you sleep peacefully, aware of life’s fragility and its inevitable end, yet grateful for making it through another day because you didn't antagonize a random dude on a river 😂
35:12 I can't believe "selfie" culture is so ingrained in people that it the middle of a life and death emergency, this dude actually flips his phone around to capture his own face reacting. The narcissism of society now is sickening. EDIT: I got tired of reading comments that acted like the intention of my comment was attacking TikTok. Also, I'm not criticizing him recording - that part is GOOD. Video can prove that a criminal is guilty. I'm talking about him deliberately turning the phone around to show his own reaction.
@williammilligan5539 a win is one where you get to live from. This isn't a tournament, when a fight starts you are fighting for your life. So a win is you still being alive
Nurses and emergency people just blow my mind with their ability to stay focused, calm, talk truth and comfort to the victim! I admire these people so much!!
This is a chilling reminder to everyone to not fuck around and find out... all sides regardless if you're in the right or wrong. Don't start provoking altercations, and don't double down on something you can walk away from.
Did you watch the video? The kids actually did leave twice. This guy left and then came back in pursuit of them for a second time after we went and got the knife. I’m guessing with the intention of stabbing people because that’s immediately what he did. They were trying to walk away.Yes they were kids so as they were doing it, they were talking to each other about him. They did actually try to walk away though.
This is EXACTLY why my dad told me never to piss off strangers. You never know who will hurt you regardless of the situation. Just because you can act like a jackass doesn't mean you should. Valuable lesson on when not to fuck with others, and if you do, know when to stop.
FAFO💯 the sad thing is that society treated all these kids like victims when in all reality they antagonized the crap out of Nicoli and honestly I can't say I wouldn't of done the same thing. He had a bunch of drunk people coming at him and putting hands on him.
So I'm going to copy and paste this from another comment I made. That chick caused the entire thing, so why did he go on to stab everyone BUT the chick? You know, the man said in court testimony that he "did not fear for his life" It's like me getting into a fight with someone and using my gun on literally everyone but the person I was arguing with lmao. He approached the group of kids accusing them of having his phone, harasses them, is grabbing on peoples tubes, grabbing peoples legs under the water, grabbing people's arm,- goes back to his tubing group, COMES BACK and then when they respond to this (the girl he punched), he stabs all of them. Yeah, seems like they were the victims you know, especially since he changed all his clothes, threw the knife away, HE LOST ALL DEFENSE for a self defense case
@bri_guy508 you would've done the same? I'm honestly shocked to see someone say that. You would've _gutted_ a kid and stabbed 4 other ppl because they were rude? That's repugnant. He could've easily killed all 5 ppl. FAFO would've been if he had punched them. This was a cold-blooded rampage that left an incalculable toll of trauma and grief in its wake. I honestly think that the rude behavior of the teens offended you so badly that you're willing to accept Nic's indefensible, psychopathic actions. That's sick dude. Get help.
@@bri_guy508 yeah if he just waited til they started throwing punches, and then stated "i feared for my life" he wouldve got off scott free. and they likely wouldve started fighting him. Good lord if your friend is critically injured stop yelling next to him that he’s split open and his guts are out. There’s no way that’s helping his mental state.
Whoever spoke up in that recorded video to all his other friends saying “guys we should leave” as the situation was getting more chaotic. You’re a smart and switched on dude I hope life gives you the best brother. You nearly saved that entire situation yourself if your friends weren’t so fuelled up on alcohol and egging one another on.
Regardless of what or who was right in this case, this is why you don't start altercations with strangers. You never know what anyone is capable of. Its not worth acting tough in front of your friends no matter who is at fault you can always walk away. This whole scenario was senseless and could have been avoided.
Yup, and the guy who claimed to be EMS was losing control of his emotions and totally out of his depth. Even as a student you learn to deal with mass cas/multi cas events.
I swear every time I see police body cam the most useless people are the one's screaming "I'M AN EMT" or "I'M A NURSE I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING" when they usually don't. The woman in this case was much better than the man
Well, I will say the one cop, holding the rifle, who didn't 'give it to the guy' that called him "Boss' and tried to tell him how to do his job, deserves something, but I am not sure what. I, as a cop would not appreciate a civilian trying to tell me how to do my job. He sure held his patience.
Except for the fact that they didn't designate one cop to shut everybody up as people screamed and talked over one another, and the cops, the entire time. People listen to cops when they say, "Stop. Stop. Stop talking NOW!" and then give a direct order for those who could not control their emotions and voices and/or be of help, to move away from the scene. Some could have been placed in cars to wait this out.
That guy's crazy for going off like that, but parents need to do a better job disciplining their kids and teaching them right from wrong. This could have been avoided from both sides.
Look up the real story. This clip is giving a false narrative. He was well within his right of self defense and those kids were fucked up for doing what they did. They were drunk, tryna show boat and being dumb af and it cost them their friends’ life. That’s on them. He should have never had to serve time. He tried to get away from them several times and they cut him off, shoving him down into the water and wouldn’t let him leave. You’ve got an angry drunken mob of 10+ people; you being shoved down into a river - how you think you gonna react??
The narrator sounds like the EWU guy. He always says something like “Join the EWU crew” on that channel or something like that lol. But anyway - EWU stands for Explore With Us, which is the name of the channel. They have excellent videos and do a lot of research the in the making of their videos. I haven’t checked yet if this is an EWU video yet but it sounds like it! I’ll check and update my comment if I find the original video.
Excellent advice. Unfortunately, kids aren’t the only ones sitting in front of screens. Parents are too and it’s replacing the hours. They used to sit around and talk. They’re being raised with no standards, no morals. They get their morals and standards from TikTok, RUclips reels, TV shows and movies.
I’ve seen A LOT of bodycam footage from RUclips, Twitter, Reddit, etc. This is by far one of the craziest videos I’ve seen. It literally gave me anxiety as if I was there.

@ yep and the guy who was stabbed but yells at the police offers to leave him alone and let him support his dying friends head… he was also in shock. It’s no excuse for how you respond to an emergency.
@ it kind of is though. shock, panic, fear makes people mess up in emergencies All the time, leading to there death. Have you ever been in a serious situation. I will tell you from my experience you are just going off whatever pops in your head in the moment. It takes experience with crazy situations to understand how to survive or handle them for most people because most of us never get put in situations like this. Some people handle stress well, some can't. Thats why you only see a few people calm and collected helping.
I mean the guy said he’s a fuckin EMT with two nurses. I pretty sure they can take a pulse and tell when a person is dead. There was probably other injured people who needed help and they didn’t want the team wasting their time.

Ey! Medic here: That kid holding pressure on that girl's wound and talking to her keeping her calm and awake is doing EXACTLY what you should do in this situation. Only thing i would recommend is getting her dry and warming her up. Trauma makes you feel VERY cold because your body focuses the blood to your core organs. Im happy there were some people there who were able to respond with common sense (very hard in emergencies)

Nic is a murderer and was rightly found guilty. But the actions of those 13 boys harassing a stranger for literally no reason at all created that situation. They grouped up, surrounded, taunted and pushed him down into the water. That was when he attacked. How he handled it first up was wrong but I don't think any knew what would have happened. He was surrounded by drunk aggressive kids that assaulted him and pushed him into water.

I've been a nurse for 26 years and I immediately picked up on this. These kids acted horrifically, but he was the adult and should have walked away. Death should not be the punishment for being a cocky, thoughtless teen.
Also, it has been shown that hearing is the last thing to go. I find it incredibly important to keep a patient calm. I think they were all so young and panicked, I don't think they realized the gravity of what they were saying.

Ofcourse. These days it's wise to not bother yourself with strangers or people you have no plans with in public. Get on with your day and go home once your done. Peace is so valuable.
It seems like the group was teasing the man because he had snorkel gear on - likely thinking he was snooping on girls underwater. And since he was in fact looking for a phone, the accusations pissed him off. That’s where normal human interactions should have ended. All those mistakes and feelings are understandable. But then both groups seemed to take it a step further and become aggressive. Clearly the one man vs a huge group is a lopsided fight. So the guy should have escaped before they could get close to him, and the group should have never ganged up on a stranger. Everyone learned hard lessons that day.

You have to be descriptive and accurate when describing these kind of injuries to appropriate response. If they don't know the severity of the situation how are they to react sufficiently?
I can't watch them keep saying "stay awake, open your eyes". Brings back a scary memory. When you're fading out like that, people telling you to stay awake just feels like people talking to a TV that's in another room. You have to keep telling yourself that "they're talking to YOU and YOU HAVE TO LISTEN, BECAUSE THIS IS NOW, RIGHT NOW, STOP CLOSING YOUR EYES!" The urge to sleep is SO INCOMPREHENSIBLY OVERWHELMING that all I remember telling myself is, "if I survive this, there's no way I can remember how bad I want to just sleep right now". As my mom always said, you never know what is going on in someone else's head, and you can't control how they react when provoked. These kids learned a hard lesson...
I doubt they learned anything, they clearly think they were in the right. Especially given the result of their altercation with the guy, "victimhood" provides them the innocence that their actions was not pivotal to what transpired in the first place.
And many of the kids blatantly lied about things to make themselves appear completely innocent. If the events took place as they testified, he would have been convicted of murder with a MUCH longer sentence. The right result occurred.

@@asyuruu i remember seeing this on another channel before and thinking that this whole case could depend on the state bc it started with the groups recordings before getting to him trying to evade.
The man was facing an angry mob, not only that but an angry mob that were calling him not just names but disgusting slurs like paedophile and predator et cetera. He was pushed first not only was he pushed into the water he was pushed into the water by members of what was obviously an angry mob with a mob mentality who were screaming and shouting. It’s entirely plausible he was acting in self defence. That his memory is shaky is not surprising at all, it must’ve been extraordinarily stressful. I am shocked that he was convicted much less convicted with a 20 year sentence. Those so-called children were a feral mob. The one that died was 2 1/2 times over the limit in my country, the UK, the limit is about 2 pints of beer (that’s real beer not the American tapwater) so 2 1/2 times would be the roughly equivalent of 5 pints. After 5 pints, I would have difficulty walking in a straight line. So he had a group of feral youths who were acting as a mob screaming and shouting at him accusing him of being a paedophile and the predator who were also drunk. He was pushed over in the waist deep water by this mob; the fear of them drowning him must have crossed his mind. If that isn’t self defence, I don’t know what is.
I know they're doing the best they can, but all the panic and yelling and explicitly describing his wounds over and over, is NOT helping the victim. First Aid 101: the patient does not want to hear that his "guts are hanging out". Just tell him calmly that everything will be OK and that he's being looked after.
I couldn’t believe they were really saying that in front of him. I’m assuming none of them had medical experience since that’s a good way to send someone into shock and make matters worse. You’re supposed to simply reaffirm the patient; if they ask what their leg looks like and their leg is completely sheared off below the knee, you’re supposed to just lie and tell them “it’s gonna be alright, don’t worry about your leg, it’s just fine!”. After that, make sure they can’t look down and see the extent of their injuries, keeping them calm is imperative
I'm no EMT but I agree. Some people did a good job with moral support, but others screaming hysterically at the sight of blood and guts, did nothing to help. If you can't stand seeing massive bodily trauma and keep a cool head... leave the situation and allow in people who can.

Also, in regards to infection, it would have been better to get them onto land... No one untrained knows what they would do in a situation like this. Before I was an RN, WE WERE HUGE BOATERS, I saw a boat blow up with a family, burned bad, they were friends of ours... NOT knowing *(b4 became an RN) what to do, I grab the first aid kit out of our own boat. However, it was just a little tube of salve for a burn, obviously nothing for this type of catastrophic issue..... The one man his entire body was burned and skin was peeling off.... He was alert, and while we waited for an ambulance, which took about 30 minutes..... We allowed him to stay in the water because we thought it would cool him some.... That turned out causing such an EXTREME SEPSIS situation, he was burned so bad. He probably would never have survived anyway, but regardless... it haunted me, 30 yrs later still does. This is one of the things that would help me to become become educated as a nurse so that I could help strangers/family/friends in time and need. Your great Andrew Tate-like hero is in prison for his crimes. He mvrdered someone and terribly injured many. And you talk him up like this. Your hero has proven those kids to be right.
Exactly my thoughts. And then everyone is acting as if they were innocent. It’s a sad event for sure. But that guy had no previous records at all so it’s obvious they were doing a hell of a lot to provoke him. And another thing. These cops did the absolute BARE minimum at a rescue attempt. They should be ashamed for not using those rafts, and floats, etc to get the people up river and transport them as soon as possible or at least have them at easy access for an ambulance. Terrible work all around. And I’m just saying it as it is. Cause if these were my friends and family getting this bare minimum effort I’d be asking for all of their salaries back as reimbursement to all the citizens.
Its just sad that they gave the victim a prison sentence for protecting himself from a bunch of young adults that were attacking and trying to drown him. I mean the dude was looking for a lost phone and then these punk kids start yelling that hes a pedophile and they start attacking him accusing him of filming girls when he didnt even have a phone he was looking for his wifes phone i believe? Or a member of his groups phone but either way i seen the video of these teens yelling stuff like "for the culture" which is a thing teens would yell when they are trying to get content for like a tik tok video for example. And when we say"teens" we're talking like 17, 18 year old football players, in the prime of their life attacked this man for no reason and only after he was knocked down did he pull a little pocket knife and proceeded to defend himself. Then i saw the trial where the kids were caught lying and changing their stories, and the only thing this guy did wrong was not get a lawyer and talked honestly with police. If i was in his place i would have done the same except there would have been a lot more dead. It is hilarious to hear the young adults go from jeering and yelling that he was a raper and a pedophile which they admitted on stand that they were just yelling lies for fun to get a reaction outta the guy but then you clearly see one of them put hands on him first and with a mob attacking him he did what he had to do but when he does you hear these young adults start screaming in terror when they realize they done f'd around and found out lol. You play stupid games you win stupid prizes and their friends injuries and death are their own fault. Imo these teens should have been raised better and shouldnt have been drinking underage...
He's a terrible person apparently. Lied in court, has domestic assault cases, etc. Did he deserve to die? No. Should you not view him as a saint? Yeah.
@@tthinker16 "trying to drown him" where did you saw that one? Bro brought a knife in his swimming pants to a tubing event, hes clearly a psychopath who deserved to **** in this river, not that kid. sure the kids were all jerks, and it would have been worth calling the cops on them, but what he did was monstrous, unacceptable and he stopped being a human being at that point.
The way they mocked this man out loud and in one big group is diabolical and the way in which he responded is outrageous. Everyone failed here, even the lady that stepped in and automatically blamed this man immediately before it escalated just added fuel to the fire.
Self defense? His life was not in danger ... omg he got pushed over into the water that's totally a reason to start stabbing people right sure those kids weren't acting right but they weren't going to kill the man wtf that is ridiculous
@@andrewreeves7139 he was getting attacked, so you'd rather lie there and wait for them to try and kill you? Pretty sure any capable adult will try to fight off these kids that was verbally and physically attacking him.
As a former Army medic and civilian EMT and now an ER RN, this is a nightmare scenario. You have multiple people in shock. Maintaining core temperature is essential for the survival of someone in any type of shock, and these people are stuck in moving water in the shade. It's easy to Monday morning quarterback this event, but the best thing these heroic civilians and initial responding officers could have done is to get them onto the roadway in direct sunlight and dry them off immediately. Eviscerations are scary but are not immediately life threatening. Best thing to do is wrap it tightly to keep it secured, and begin aggressive shock management as the victim loses heat rapidly through the injury. As far as the victim needing resuscitation, I think they handled it perfectly. These videos are great for training anyone in pre-hospital emergency medical care.
@@Matt-dg6ue thank you for this comment. I couldn’t help but watch this and wonder what I could do in this situation rather than stand around helplessly if I were to, god forbid, end up in a situation like this.
I was thinking that too. I can backseat quarterback this incident, but i wasn’t there. What’s in my mind is that the victim should have been removed from the water to retain body heat.
This guy was waiting for a moment like this. The machete in the truck and the wife’s comments. If it wasn’t those kids it would have been someone else. He was a psycho waiting to harm
35:10 this part blew my mind, how addicted to your phone do you have to be to literally be 1. Filming instead of trying to help and 2. Filming yourself instead of what’s happening. Unreal
@gamingmitmaus6949 exactly. If you have assessed the situation and realize everyone is being helped to the best abilities of those around them, then pull the phone out and document what’s going on. Doesn’t seem like that’s what happened here to me, but I could be wrong. Seems to me like if someone has been stabbed in the heart and another person has his intestines literally spilling out of his body there is probably more productive routes to take than filming the aftermath lol filming the incident is one thing, and that is clearly vital to understanding what happened here, but after the guy that did the stabbing is gone and isn’t being filmed, there doesn’t seem much use for filming everyone bleeding out (and yourself reacting to said situation)
People are addicted to their own little worlds and ignore reality as much as possible through their phones, always thinking their untouchable in groups. Reality said hi today to these assholes who already surrounded him while he was holding a knife to defend himself from hollering monkies and touching him first.
This is probably the most intense collection of body cam footage I've ever seen. It's so scary and surreal. Edit: I didn't think this would get so many likes! Thanks! For the record, I believe Nicolae Miu is guilty. In the video, you see a person place his hand on Nicolae's back in an effort to calm him down after he had just stabbed the girl. Nicolae then turns around, looks at the person for a while, then suddenly stabs him. That's not self defense. And the fact he tossed the knife, didn't call police, and lied about everything afterward tells me he knew what he was doing.
Right? Like the kid laying in the water just looking up at the sky. I cannot imagine the fear he felt. And I legit feel for the cops who had to deal with that.

Calling a man a predator and a rapist humiliating him in public when he is just looking for his phone and goggles...is what led to this unfortunare situation
Yep and the girl on the phone is like "we were just trying to get him to go away" but doesnt mention by pushing him down and threatening to kick his ass.
I wanna share a quick story i think has some similarities. So when i was in military for a year i made one good friend, he is a smart, well behaved individual that has a lot going for him, has a girlfriend, higher education... One day some of the newer guys find out he has a profanity name on Instagram (which can be funny right?), but instead of laughing once and forgetting it, they start bullying him over this, for days on end. One day we were preparing to go on duty when one of the guys comes in and starts to harass him, mentions his girlfriend, and my friend looses it, grabs his rifle, puts the magazine in, loads it and points at the bully. Thankfully he didnt shoot him but this caused a brawl, my friend was disarmed. Nothing bad happened that day, but things changed. I hope the new guys learned not to bully a person they dont know, because just like in this stabbing person can completely overreact and do something unthinkable, might hurt or kill you
I watch a ton of true crime channels and I am just amazed at how great of a job you’ve done combining the calls, the body cam, the interviews, and the trial. You pointing out the 911 caller showing up multiple times on body cam was great too.
I believe we should show more of these videos to youth during high school and college to teach them about consequences when you fuck around or when bullying
Wait, are you saying escalating to a knife because a group of people are being obnoxious was ok? His ego was hurt with words, so slashing people's guts out is the right response??? Nobody would expect that as a response. I don't care how obnoxious the group was being they weren't being violent towards him. They were telling him to leave, to go home, to leave them alone. Yes they were also calling him names but that doesn't mean it gives him the right to cut them open. That's crazy.
That's a good idea. Everyone here is scarred forever ultimately over some people thinking it's funny to imitate the present day "prank" culture bullcrap. Rude comments on strangers that don't look the way you want or whatever the problem was. Senseless. Shit made me numb. Have the kids imagine them saying that about their close friends. "That's not James...there's no way this just happened." Often said you're not ready to carry a gun til you've lost a night of sleep imagining how hopeless life is gonna feel after those decisions you can't take back. Maybe kids shouldn't be unattended until they've felt that nightmare also. Dream it before it becomes an inescapable reality. We got a lot of growing up to do as a nation.
0:00 to 31:05 This Nic guy seems like a terrible person... 31:10.........sigh, these kids seem like terrible people. 35:00 are there any non-terrible people involved in this?
Right... from the start you're like, wow, some crazy guy just walked up to them and started stabbing a bunch of people? This is why I respect those cops for handling everything so professionally. Sure, he was found guilty in the end, but the only truth the kids told the cops was that someone stabbed them.
As I was a child, we did not make fun of older people. But here the most old people were wounded in war or had mental problems till the end of their life. So, we are very carefully. Even if this are alcoholics, we did not know what they were going through. I mean, they had killed people as young man, so it would not be smart to make them get into a stressful situation.
I watch a whole lot of crime and body cam stuff and this channel is the best format and editing method I’ve seen. Fully invested, this story was horrific.
@@shelbooooothere’s no real evidence of that tho. Just some drunk kids words against his word. This is why you don’t start altercations or carry them on. If you have to tell someone off tell them off and remove yourself. Both walk away. Continuing self defense well after then becomes assault.

Hot take on this situation. But after closely watching the entire video. Any time they accuse nic of acknowledging his wrongful actions he always says “I don’t remember” or “I was scared for my life”. Somebody who was innocent wouldnt have to nonstop validate to everyone that they were doing it in self defense and scared for their life. The evidence would speak for itself. Yes the teenagers were verbally provoking him, but he’s a grown ass middle aged man. He could’ve walked away at any point. But his feelings were so hurt about insults coming from kids he kept coming back and wouldn’t leave them alone. The kids only got physical with him after he punched Madison in the face. He lied about them trying to pull his pants down, lied and said they attacked him first, ditched the evidence, didn’t bother to call the police after the incident, and continued to remain that he was scared for his life and didn’t remember most of it. Sounds like somebody who is guilty and doesn’t want to be held responsible for it. And as far as the teenagers go. Some weren’t even legal adults. And they were all heavily intoxicated. Neither of those are valid excuses to instigate shit with people. But in a country where you have free speech, people should learn to not get butthurt and try to attack random kids over being insulted. Theyre fucking kids. Of course they’re gonna say disrespectful shit, their brains aren’t even fully developed. Everyone was a shit head teenager at some point and did something disrespectful. And it’s obvious they weren’t calling him a pedophile for no reason. He obviously did something or said something off camera that warranted those comments to be made. They just started recording afterwards. And given the fact that any time he was asked about his involvement he acts like he miraculously temporarily developed dementia and can’t remember anything he did., or lied about it, I don’t buy the whole “ I was looking for my friends phone” thing. Bc his group was 75 feet or meters away from the incident. (I can’t remember the measurement specification) but if there’s seventy five feet of river between his group and a bunch of teenager it’s bizarre and coincidental that he’s just over there to look for a phone. I think he’s a mentally ill loose cannon. The machete in his car combined with his wife’s comments about his mental state prove that this type of incident was bound to happen at some point. I hope he dies in prison.
I’ve been a nurse for nearly 30 years, and I’ve seen so many heartbreaking things-from pediatric to elderly. Gunshot wounds are particularly brutal and I’ve seen more than one set of intestines outside of the body. I still find this extremely distressing to watch. Those survivors who went to work immediately on the injured were incredible! The response time from EMT’s was undoubtedly as fast as could be given the conditions, but those who jumped in with medical training-triaging and providing crucial support? Friggen amazing!
The bystander effect is so deadly because seconds matter. It’s genuinely a miracle the victims had so many close friends at the scene because that meant they jumped in, which triggered strangers to also jump in. Which drives me to my next point, anyone reading this..be the first one and only one to react. Don’t wait for others to jump in and help. If you know someone needs help and they’re not getting it, once you start others will follow.
exactly. what were they thinking would happen after they called him a pedo for no reason and started pushing him after seeing a knife in his hand when he was outnumbered.
Should they have been calling him a pedo? No. He absolutely ran up on them though. You see that in the video. He put his hands on them. Again you see that in the video. He was the aggressor. Then the other group of adults tried to step in and get him to go away. The woman put her hand on his shoulder and he punched her. The kids didn’t push or hit hit him until that moment. He lied about everything that he said, even something as little as saying they pulled his snorkel away from him and threw it. You see in the video that he threw it. Excusing his behavior is just as sick
@@ashleyv-80s I wasnt defending him. The thing is you never mess with strangers. you could never know what can happen. They could have just avoided all this.

Yeah I watched the full compilation of all the videos when it first happened and later saw he was found guilty, but seeing all of the bodycam/response along with the videos I'd already seen of the altercation, along with the trial at the end is well presented. As gruesome as this encounter was, I think it's important for people to see it, it may help people realize to use rationale in silly arguments or disagreements. As tough as we are, we're still a very fragile species and heat of the moment reactions are the spark that changes or takes away lives.
Midwest Safety does such an incredible job of informing us of the full story. The video of the actual Incident really just goes to show that there are two sides to every story… at the start it sounded as though there was some small altercation and some insane dude just decided to go berserk on everyone. When you see what happened things are a lot less black and white than that. Those teens were straight bullies. I would never say they deserved what they got but their behavior was incredibly out of line and inexcusable.
@@nattcattt I would actually disagree that his actions were excessive... Yes, he had the opportunity to walk away, just like they could have asked what he was doing instead of immediately jumping to being drunk bullies... Lemme preface, this whole situation sucks... HOWEVER, once the fight started, the safest option, is antithetically to keep fighting until everyone in the 'attacking' group is incapacitated/unwilling/unable to continue the fight. The last thing you want is to start to disengage, and give someone the opportunity to hit you from behind, or without being seen. You 'put down' every aggressor, until you can walk away or until authorities arrive. It sucks, but the alternative was risking his own life when they jump him, especially if they did (as Nic claimed) have a larger kitchen knife.

Filming/Documenting is good, not trying to help in any way at the same time and just trying to make a reaction video out of it is bad.

Yeah, but why spend your time watching the whole trial when someone else can just tell you what happened and you just believe what you are told?
/s
@@kellyhall2844are you saying that you people should watch the whole trial and not just believe what one is told OR watching this video saves you time and you get the jist? Seems your comment was contradictory, of you can explain
Naw, this one he makes it seem like the young adults didn't do anything wrong. There is more to the story and parts left out of the kids messing with him more than it makes out in this video. I saw the full video, and those young drunk adult's, not kids. Young adult's did wrong. And whomever gave them alcohol needs to be charged with involuntary manslaughter. Since, everyone wants to label them a teens and not young adult's. The alcohol played a major factor in this situation, and the person that gave it to them needs jail. No different if they were drinking and died. Infact ,they probably did drive there drinking.
Hmmmmmmmm ????! I want you to think of where the CHILDREN were and pay close attention to how far NICK was from HIS mob of “acquaintances” who may very well be traffickers given their eagerness to lie for him and try to cover his tracks…….yeah play that back then come back and tell me what you’ve gathered. Also pay attention to how the only time NICK was ASSAULTED was -AFTER- HE slapped the girls shades off- HE GOT SLAPPED BACK! OH and how Nicks entire group were just 75 feet away during this entire incident (with the exception of Ariel, his accomplice, the Spanish guy? Yes, him in the back ground after Nick punched the first girls shades off, the one who watched the entire thing standing 5-10 feet away from him, can you explain to me why they would flee the scene a mile up the river? Then the police show up and suddenly nobody from his group knows what’s going on (75 feet away)???………….you do the math boo!! Oh and let me tell you sound travels very well and eyes can see. You can’t tell me NOBODY In the litter of the mob of ADULTS heard the commotion or saw what happened. They ALL -LIED- and said they had ALL been in the same spot ALLL DAYY…………………………………………………..
38:55 I’m sorry but the “omg” had me on the floor 😂😂
As a healthcare worker it brought tears to see the RNs/EMS work together as bystanders
EXCELLENT reporting! Very well edited. The 911 transcripts were especially helpful, and putting the faces to the callers' numbers was great. Very well done. I'm glad justice was served.
Wow this video was intense. I applaud the efforts of the team that not only cut it together into a coherent story to present in short form on YT, but also to be able to endure the probable hours of screaming a crying of the victims while trying to cut the video segments. Thank you.
this actually to me made him look more guilty then what they had at trial tbh this was hard to watch but all could of been avoided by all RIP issac 💞🙏
Short form? This is nearly an hour. I think condensed form is a better term
Trauma 101 - Don't let a patient get hypothermic. Get this poor man OUT of the water.
6:34 bro is Close to death and still roast Joe Biden💀
Bro I fkn died lol
I freaking lost it LMAO
that relieved the pressure
LMAO!!!!
That’s some serious mental illness
The video of the actual Incident really just goes to show that there are two sides to every story… at the start it sounded as though there was some small altercation and some insane dude just decided to go berserk on everyone. When you see what happened things are a lot less black and white than that. Those teens were straight bullies. I would never say they deserved what they got but their behavior was incredibly out of line and inexcusable.
That being said, stabbing 5 people in a rage is also inexcusable, and definitely more than “self defense”
@@nattcatttI mean all those five people were attacking and pushing him
@@nattcattt Yes, but sometimes being surrounded by a group of youngsters who are all jeering you and calling you a P🐻 , you might be overwhelmed with fear that they might do something to you.
Haven’t u seen murder stories where bullies go too far?
Yes. I actually don't feel sorry for those drunk, spoiled, bully teenagers. A grown man is just standing there minding his own business and then they keep taking a video of him and insulting him. Should be a lesson to all. Mind your own business. They took his snorkel that is why he was looking for it.
That kid who was recording was instigating the whole ordeal..twisting his words calling him a pedophile "looking for little girls" when he clearly said snorkle..
He already had his snorkel 48:16 he got mad and grabbed the tube. The kids might have said some vial stuff but he physically stopped them from going down the river to start a confrontation and punch a girl in the middle of a group of guys, really screams I’m looking to deescalate
@@codfishjoe5313
Girl pushed him first, allegedly
@@codfishjoe5313 😂 de-escalating guy was the one who pulled out a knife in a fist fight.
So what? He's allowed to. First amendment. There's no amendment giving the right to stab people over bad words.
@@rustyshackleford7656
1st Amendment doesn't protect libel, genius.
2nd Amendment protects people's rights to defend themselves if feeling life is threatened... you don't see a group of antagonizing bullies surrounding and instigating violence toward a man?
This is one of those videos where I truly got sick to my stomach. The fear is so heartbreaking
